Pitches and Promises: Riverside Chronicles

Rate this book
When silence meets strength, love writes its own story.

Zander Houston is a shy and introverted pitcher for the Riverside Legends, still quietly grieving the loss of his little sister to cancer sixteen years ago. On the mound he's a force to be reckoned with, but off the field, his anxiety keeps him from pursuing his secret crush.

Amara Sinclair is a fiery and fearless woman who stands tall against the shadows of her past and protects those she loves with ferocity and an unbreakable spirit. Though she carries the brutal scars of her past, she refuses to let it dictate her future.

When Zander invites Amara to join him on a family visit in Alabama, a spark ignites, pulling them closer. As they navigate family drama, personal challenges, and the lingering pain of their pasts, their connection deepens.

Will Amara’s bold nature and Zander’s quiet strength merge to create the love they’ve both longed for? Or will their insecurities and fears stand in the way?

Discover how opposites not only attract but heal each other in Pitches and Promises—a story of love, resilience, and the power of stepping up to life’s greatest challenges.

This was such a good book! It’s a slow burn but the way the author writes you’ll be swooning over the MMC so fast! I also love that the FMC is a strong independent takes no shit type of girl! She knows her worth and the respect she deserves from everyone and she’s not afraid to make it known!

3⭐️ Cute! I enjoyed this one WAY more than the first one in this series. This was easy and cute, with just enough “twists” (not really big twists, but still something).

OMG, Pitches and Promises was so good. I loved everything about it. Book 1: Signs and Signals was good, and I loved it, but this book was even better. Meeting and getting to know Zander's parents, Dixie and Billy, was so heartwarming. This book has its sweet moments, sad moments, and moments that had me blushing. The banter between Amara and the other characters had me laughing so hard. Once again, the author gave me a book that made me feel like I was experiencing each scene with the characters. I was sad that it ended because I just wanted to keep on reading. I can't wait until Bailey's book, so I can get more of the Riverside crew.
