📚 🅱🅴🅰🆄🆃🆈 🅸🅽 🅲🅷🅰🅾🆂 📚 Is a full length stand-alone romance novel by new to me author Nacole Stayton. Spoken in 'dual POV's. Aurora ‘Rory’ Bradshaw & Crew Jordan.
From the gorgeous cover to the blurb, a new to me author, had me intrigued enough to race off and #oneclick then I started it that very night and I was beyond hooked and happy I'd taken that plunge.
Crew was the misconstrued towns bad boy, and he was anything but. This boy had so many good qualities, the residents were just too blind to see them. To save his brother, he had to sacrifice himself.
Rory has lived a life many can't comprehend, from one foster home to the next, fighting to survive to keep her head above water the only way she knew how, so when she's being moved to yet another foster situation she's as jaded as they come.
These two weren’t so different from each other after all.
Moving next door to not one but two hot brothers, and wondering which one was going to capture her heart. I was along for the ride.
This author threw in a few twists and turns, giving it such a unique flavour to the storyline. which was really surprising, it wasn’t your run of the mill romance book, it had so many layers to it and considering this author hasn't released anything for 8 solid years I think this was the perfect comeback!! I'm definitely keen to read more by her. I’ve read about one brother, now I want to read about the other.
Beauty in Chaos is Nacole's newest release and her first book in over eight years. Let's just say that Nacole really knows how to make comeback into the writing scene.
Beauty in Chaos is such a unique and emotional story. The blurb truly gives you just a tiny glimpse of what Rory's story is about.
Rory is just trying to survive foster care and find a way to get full custody of her foster brother once she ages out. What she never anticipated were the Jordan brothers.
One brother is fire and the other ice. I just can't decided which one is going to burn me first.
Trice and Crew are complete opposites of one another. And Rory struggles with her reactions to each of them; she's never had to sift through her thoughts and feelings like she does with each of them. But when a family secret is revealed, Rory is faced with an almost impossible decision.
I cannot applaud Nacole enough for how well written this story is. You sense what each of these characters are going through. You find yourself empathizing with Rory, understanding some of these teen's life choices.
But eve moreso, Nicole delves into the in-depth issues such as foster care and adoption and the nuiances associated with those issues. All the grey areas surrounding our foster care system and how broken it is, and she does it with grace but keeps it real.
Beauty in Chaos is definitely an emotional read and will tug at your heart strings in so many ways. It is worth every penny.
This book was so beautifully written. I’m in awe of this author’s storytelling. Her ability to write a story that has so many realistic moments. Truths for so many that may read this. It’s an emotional book with many lows and lots of highs. Extremely sad moment but many happy as well. I was enthralled. I couldn’t help but love the little bit of a triangle. Which brother would get her whole heart. Which one would have to walk away?
These two brothers… god they both stole my heart for so many different reasons. I won’t give anything away but just know that they both deserved to be loved. Rory is one of the strongest bravest female characters I’ve read about In A long time. She’s endured so much and I’m so glad she got her happy ending. These family’s and all the tragic events that took place. To see how Nacole has weaved them all to get her to make one beautiful chaos was something to see. I absolutely adored this book and will recommend it to all. Bravo Nacole this book is most definitely the comeback story we all dream about. You wrote an amazing story be proud.
Wow! Nacole Stayton is back y'all! I swooned hard while I was reading Beauty in Choas. Crew and Rory were definitely a found family, and I loved it. The way the Crew and Rory were able to drop their defenses for each other was beautiful. And it's time for some really well written, sweet romance! This is a book I'd let my nieces read. It's one of those books that will live in your soul.
There is beauty in Beauty in Chaos, a new release by Nacole Stayton. My heart swelled, cried, and was filled with joy at this story of loneliness overcome, friendships and family found, and love.
Caught between protecting her younger brother Lonnie, Rory is initially hesitant to open them both to a new town, a new family, and people she doesn’t know. Being let down so often, has led her to keeping an iron heart and her dreams out of reach. Finally, she’s found a place to belong, people who won’t let her down, friendship, and a love will that forever change her life. No black cloud casting a shadow over their heads. Being surrounded by good people go a long way toward healing.
This is a wholesome story, with a few twists, but goes to show that adversity can be overcome through strength of will and opportunity.
This is such a heart warming little romance. Two kids, who both come from some deep dark trauma, find each other in the right place at the right time. It’s a fate aligning kind of love. Nacole has a way of writing that makes you feel like you’re reading poetry. I absolutely love her writing style. If you’re looking for a sweet, young, love story this is the book for you.
This book broke my heart in the first chapter and then put me back together. It was such an emotional and heart-warming story.
Aurora “Rory” has been let down by the foster care system time and time again. All she wants is to age out and be able to adopt her foster brother, Lonnie. Rory is quite jaded and has her walls way up. That is until she meets the Jordan brothers, Crew and Trice.
Rory’s resilience was commendable. After all she went through in her 17 years, she could’ve gone the selfish route and looked out only for herself, but her determination to adopt Lonnie was awe-inspiring. She really loved that little guy and saw him as her only family.
I enjoyed the banter between Rory and Crew. They had that enemies to lovers vibe going on. They both were taken with the other from that first moment, Crew even more so. They were two broken souls and like recognized like, but after being broken for so long they both fought against it.
The dynamic between Crew and Trice was so disheartening. Their competitiveness against each other really put a strain on their relationship. Crew and Trice are complete opposites of each other, but yet, they were so alike. It’s just that one was busy hiding while the other embraced his brokenness.
The love triangle aspect really had me on edge. How could Rory come between two brothers whose relationship was already strained? And just when I thought Rory was going to go one way, I was glad she didn’t.
I enjoyed this book so much and I definitely recommend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️3.75 Likes: great story line - foster teen rescues young foster brother, taken in by ER doc & police officer that comes to their aid, two brothers love triangle, sweet fairytale ending. Nail biting climax (honestly didn’t know who was going to live or die!) Dislikes: Unrealistic events several times Bumps in the story line - raised up at horse track with the parking gig didn’t track with the foster child jerked around plot line. Grammatical errors- omitted words in a sentence or phrase. Luckily it was usually a preposition so very easy to fill in while reading. I’m hoping this could just be my kindle? I’m stingy with my 5 ⭐️ ratings and give 4 when I really like a book but am not blown away. (The great climax was what gave it the .75 ⭐️ ) All in all, a nice read. 😊
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75 To say I just liked this book would be an understatement…..I loved it!!!
So many twists all the way up to the end…I’m not going to lie….a few of them made me nervous…guilt by omission can still feel like guilt
Aurora/Rory (17) had built up a fortress around her I thought would never crack…she learned to roll with the punches but always stood her ground Crew (19) was so misunderstood….then there’s his younger brother Trice (17) “the golden boy” or is he???
Rory is the new girl in town & of course when both brothers see her they both have eyes for her….BUT who will she choose or will she even choose either of them??? It doesn’t help that their houses back up to each other
* Brother's best friend * Damaged hero/heroine * Small town romance * He falls first * Enemies to lovers vibe
there are a few triggers *underage drinking *sexual abuse-hinted at but not discussed *accidental death/drowning
Ok, so there are several things I absolutely loved about this story. The jealousy, the love triangle aspect, the slight angsty moments. This was the first book I’ve ever read by Nacole Stayton so I honestly didn’t know what to expect, but I really enjoyed the storytelling and the writing for the most part. There were some conversations that didn’t feel completely realistic to me and I would’ve loved to explore some of the more *ahem* passionate scenes and moments instead of them being of the “fade to black” variety, but overall I thought this was a really well-written story and I did enjoy it.
It’s been so long since I’ve read a Nacole Stayton book and I’m so happy she’s back! The writing in this book was gorgeous and the story itself was beautiful, angsty, and sweet all at the same time.
Spending most of her life in foster care, seventeen year old Aurora ‘Rory’ Bradshaw’s life hasn’t been easy. After one particularly bad home with her foster brother, Lonnie, she goes somewhere new and unlike any home she’s been to before. A home with two foster parents who seem kind and loving. It’s not something she’s used to.
Next door to her new foster home live two brothers, Crew and Trice Jordan. Trice becomes one of her best friends and there is Crew… mysterious and someone she can’t stop thinking about. Both brother’s have it bad for her but she has to make a choice between them. On top of that there are some family secrets in play…
One brother is fire and the other ice. I just can't decided which one is going to burn me first.
Rory is a strong heroine with a big heart. Though she’s young, her hard life has made her more mature than her years. Crew was by far my favorite character in the book even though he made me want to throttle him at the time, and I loved seeing Trice’s growth.
Nacole pens a stunning tale of love, sacrifice, second chances, and I loved the focus on adoption and foster care you don’t often see in romance. It was a heartwarming story and has one of the most beautiful covers I’ve ever seen! I recommend this one for anyone looking for an emotional YA/NA romance.
Beauty in Chaos. Perfect description for this book. The characters are searching through all of life’s chaos to find the beauty.
There is self discovery. Perseverance. Trials. Tribulations. Unexpected twists & turns.
Our girl Rory, whew. Her story. I believe other readers will be able to relate to her journey and struggles through some of generations ugliness.
I am optimistic the relationship between the siblings will be just as relatable. Family dynamics can be tricky to navigate and I think this book depicts those journeys perfectly.
This is five star read and no one can tell me otherwise. This book emotionally wrecked me in all the best ways.
Rory has bounced from foster homes her whole life. Now her and her foster brothers are sent to live in a small town that seems to good to be true until she meets the brothers next door.
This books is an emotional roller coaster. I didn’t know if I could be cheering for the golden boy Trice or the dark surly Crew. You feel all the emotions all these characters are going through.
They all go through some dark and emotional pasta that they need to work through.
This book makes you want to cry in a sad and happy way. You want to reach through the book and hug every single character in this book.
The FMC is 17 80% of the book. Nacole did an amazing job but not doing any spicy scenes with her being underage. Even when she turns 18 it’s one fade to black moment but this book did not need spice to keep me interested.

This book is set in a blend of the YA age group and the NA age group. (she is in her last year of HS and he’s in his first year of college)
They meet on her first day in town and they clicked instantly in a way neither of them could see at first. She needed time to heal so she pushed him away until her heart couldn’t beat without him as her partner anymore.
This is semi-open door but not too descriptive which is at times a breath of fresh air.
The storylines these two had to live through were tough and yet not at the same time.
Everything happened for a reason for them 🔥🥰🥰
Finding TRUE LOVE at 17/19 is not uncommon but these two are written to be the true definition of soul mates. 🥰🥰
The blurb for the book and the beautiful cover pulled me in. And when I started this book, I was even more in. I know blurbs are only to tease us, but this one is just a very small part of the book. This book made me pull an all-nighter, yeah not sorry in the morning, less not sorry when I was at work… I was just telling myself ‘one more chapter’, but with all that was going on and all the emotions this book was pulling from me, I just couldn’t stop reading. This is a book you need to add to your TBR.
"One brother is fire. The other ice. I can’t decide which one is going to burn me first."
After many years in the Foster care system, Aurora “Rory” Bradshaw arrives to a small town called Bardstown. Her goal is simple: turn eighteen, finish high school, get a job and adopt her Foster brother, Loonie. She didn’t trust anyone because everybody had disappointed her. What she didn’t expected was that her new foster parents are loving and caring. Also, she’ll meet her new neighbors, the Jordan brothers, Crew and Trice. Both guys appeal to Rory in different ways. Crew is the town’s bad boy; Trice is the golden one. Which brother will Rory choose?
My first experience reading one of Ms. Stayton’s books was a great one. This author is a natural storyteller. The story is well written and developed, with some compelling twists that makes the reading more alluring. Of course, I found the story a bit predictable in a specific moment of the plot, but the emotional weight the characters have to deal balances that little flaw. Something that needs to be mentioned is the sensitive way the author explores the Foster care system and its failures; the researching work about this topic was exquisite.
Beauty in Chaos, with its ups and downs and everything in between, is a soulful and heartwarming story that won’t leave you indifferent. You won’t be able to put the book aside once you start to read it. Kudos to Ms. Stayton for creating such an exciting story about redemption and second chances.
P.S.: This cover is 🤌🏼🥰
Big thanks to Ms. Stayton for the ARC via The Next Step PR and sorry for the delay.
"One brother is fire. The other is ice. I can't decide which one is going to burn me first."
I did not expect this book to be so damn good. From the very first chapter, I knew I would love this book. The story follows Rory, a 17-year-old orphan growing up in the foster care system who finds herself, yet again, being transferred to a new foster home. This time, it's in the suburbs of Kentucky, away from the dangers of the inner city and its inhabitants. The life she was forced to endure was harsh, cruel, dangerous, and full of despair.
During a chance encounter, she bumps into the small town's bad boy, Crew. The two immediately spit words at one another, not realizing they would be each other's neighbors for the foreseeable future. Rory knew she had to stay away from Crew - that instant attraction only leads to heartache. But it wasn't until she met Crew's brother, Trice, that it shook her entire core—two brothers - both drop-dead gorgeous in their own way - both vying for her affection.
This book was an emotional roller coaster. There were highs and lows and points when tears were threatening to stream down my face. I caught myself holding my breath at times due to the intensity of the scenes playing in my head as each page unfolded. I had butterflies, imagining the two Jordan brothers competing for Rory's attention. Boy, did they work hard for it.
You will love this book if you enjoy reading YA Romance with a coming-of-age platform and throw in the love triangle for some much-needed drama.
***Heed trigger warnings as there are references to child abuse, loss of a child, underage drinking, death, etc.**
This is a beautiful story with a second chance at love for all. We meet Rory, a teenager who has grow up in the foster care system. Her number one priority is to turn 18 and adopt Lonnie her younger foster brother. When their lives are destroyed by their foster father after receiving physical and emotional injuries they are unexpectedly placed with a loving family. The ER doctor, Bea who treats them and her husband the police officer, Russell who responded to the call. Their foster parents are giving, caring, loving and have experienced some of their own loss so Rory’s walls slowly come down with how they are treated and love them unconditionally. Rory resorts to stealing on her 1st night at the local drug store for medicine and runs into the body of a gorgeous bad boy, Crew and their 1st interaction is electrifying. Crew and Rory go back and forth him wanting to get to know her but ends up bothering her and Rory trying to keep her goal front and center only to feel an undeniable pull towards Crew. When Rory meets their neighbors she also meets Crew’s younger brother, Trice who gets Rory’s attention and they become instant friends. There are family secrets that are revealed and it takes them all on a journey of discovery and what they want in life. Rory and Crew finally come together as a couple and Trice feels betrayed and his actions repeat the past causing life long damage. Rory becomes the strong woman everyone sees in her with the guidance of her foster parents and Crew until he also shows her disappointment. It’s amazing to see how Rory, Crew and Trice come together with a word from their past - “Bones”. This is an emotional story with family and friends giving their all for the well being of their love!
Being that this was my very first time reading one of Nacole Stayton’s books I was honestly not really sure what to expect . To be completely honest I came across the arc signup read the blurb and was just completely intrigued. Well all I can say is that I’m so freaking happy I gave it a chance . Because Beauty In Chaos was easily one of the most beautifully written and extremely emotional love stories I’ve read this summer . Seriously everyone there were moments I just found myself utterly speechless, moments I was on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what was going to happen from one minute to the next , moments I felt like my heart was being ripped right outta my chest to the point tears were pouring down my face. I was just blown away in all the best ways and taken on one emotional rollercoaster of a ride . Rory and Trice and Crew each is so different, so unique and so multi layered you simply cannot stop yourself from falling in love with all three . Their journey is anything but a easy one it’s fills with heartbreaking and heartfelt moments, passion , love , secrets, second chances, tragedy, obstacles, drama , angst , witty banter , twists and turns, non stop action , phenomenal world building and so much more . Tropes Love Triangle , He’s a virgin , grumpy sunshine and found family .
Beauty in Chaos is by far one of the best books I’ve ever read. It was such a deep and emotional story and it has had such a profound impact on me.
Rory wants to be able to survive foster care, turn 18 and be able to adopt her foster brother. She wants nothing more than to give them both a better life. But when something happens at their last home and they get taken in by the people that helped them Rory has to come to terms with what this means for their future.
Trice and Crew are polar opposites. After an emotional night changes their lives forever they become more distant than they already were. Already competitive in nature when Rory moves in next door they make it a competition to see which guy gets her first.
Beauty in chaos delves in to the issues such as adoption, foster care and how broken the system is. This book was written so so beautifully. I could feel every emotion the characters felt and it tugged on my heart so much.
I cannot say enough about how much I loved this book. You can be sure I will be reading more from Nacole in the future.
This book was definitely a welcomed read. It’s been a minute (ok 8yrs) since Nacole Stayton has released a book but she most definitely nailed her return to writing.
So many elements of this story I loved but the characters stole my heart chapter after chapter.
Rory’s first run in with Crew had me thinking she was done for. It’s easy to fall for the dark, mysterious bad boy. But appearances can be deceiving and as the story unfolds we get to the “bones” of what makes Crew tick.
Rory has definitely not had an easy go on the merry go round of life. Her current living arrangements keeping her and Lonnie together but putting her right in the middle to Crew and his brother Trice.
A receipe for disaster or salve on the wound. Trice and Crew vie for Rory’s attention and affection but she only has eyes for one of the Jordan brothers. Which one will steal her heart and make it whole?
Nacole delivers heart warming story with serveral twists and turns. Those making the story that more enjoyable. Whether she is a new to you author or you have been waiting for her return do yourself a favor and grab a copy of thos book and find the Beauty in Chaos.
Aurora / Rory has bounced through the foster system, just biding her time until her 18th birthday, and has understandable got trust issues. When Rory and her brothers are sent to a foster home in a small town, things appear to be too good to be true. Trice and Crew are brothers, and are Rory’s new neighbors, and both boys are vying for her attention. Which brother will Rory choose? This is a beautifully written story, which is action packed, and an emotional roller coaster, with multi-faceted characters, trust, lies, betrayal, angst, secrets, family, friendships, humor, witty banter, heartbreak, twists, intrigue, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, heartfelt, unpredictable, small-town romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.
This was a unique, angsty and emotional story that will tug on your heartstrings and have your emotions all over the place.
This story takes us on a journey through many highs and lows, heartbreaking moments, and some happy times. Rory has many tough decisions to make, but she is fierce and strong and will hopefully make the best decisions for her happy ever after.
An absolutely wonderful and beautiful story with many little twists and turns that keep you guessing on how the story will end.
This was a quick read and really makes you feel. You learn just how messed up the foster system is and you really feel for Rory and Lonnie. Rory is such a strong young lady, and when she meets the Jordan brothers, the chaos really begins. I loved this a lot, it was very sweet and those boys were awesome. This is my firsttime with this author, but I really enjoyed this readand will definitely look forward to more from her.
Definitely recommend this read for anyone who loves a little chaos!
If you looking for love triangle with bestfriends brother and badboy trope than this is for you. It was a fun read but wish there was a bit more to the plot. My favourite parts are 25 and I loved how the letters in the book it was so much fun to read and the art at the end. Definitely a good read and will be reading more of this author
Small town, new adult, love triangle, closed door romance. I usually do not go for small town or love triangle, however this was tastefully done! Bravo to Mrs. Stayton! There is so much depth and meaning in this book. Love, joy, grief, sorrow and overall navigating life with the start you’ve been given. I would recommend this to small town romances lovers!
