Even as a kid, I knew my sister never deserved him. Saint was everything good when my sister was anything but. She blew up their marriage and yet he didn’t hold it against my parents or me when he could have. We’ve always joked that he was a saint, but when I stayed with him the summer before my senior year of college, I realized there was nothing saintly about him. He wants me just as much as I want him, and we don’t care what everyone thinks about it.
Saint
She’s not a little girl anymore. Sage is all woman and temptation. I can’t keep my eyes off her, no matter how hard I try. She makes me remember what it’s like to be wanted, and I can’t walk away. I try to tell myself that this is just for the summer and that in the fall when she goes back to school, things will go back to how they used to be, but I know it’s a lie. I let her sister walk out and never felt her loss. The thought of losing Sage, though, is crippling. It’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all, and Sage? She’s worth the risk.

Book was rushed and incomplete. As a reader I was left with more questions. Like where’s the sister? What was the parent’s reaction? It just jumped from one part to the next with no sense of closure. No character development, holes in the plot, anti -climatic and more. I know B Love writers haven’t come better than this.
Ms. Monae, this was a lot different than your normal work of art. However, I still enjoyed it. My only drawback was I wished we knew why Paisley left like she did. I was thinking at one point that maybe Saint did not father the kids. The twins loved and adored their father they really had no choice because he was the only present parent in their lives. Insert Sage, and she becomes the mother figure the kids yearned for. You know that old saying that says, "You can't help who you fall in love with." Sage did just that with her sister ex-husband. Well, it held true for Sage and Saint because they were soulmates. They were also the stability that the kids needed in their lives. They fell head-first with a hard knock in love with each other. The usual casual encounters almost 100% of the time turn out that way. So what started as casual soon turned into commitment. Saint was all in because he wanted Sage all to himself. He treated her like a queen. She deserved the love he was dishing out, and he needed the reciprocity she gave.
I was highly intrigued by this book after I read the synopsis. I suggest it because it is most definitely a page turner. A great way to end the year, Ms. Monae because this leaves us wondering what's coming next.
Reading Saint and Sage's story was different from reading previous books by the author, but it was good nonetheless. Even though Saint was her sister's boyfriend turned ex-husband, Sage felt a certain way about him from their very first meeting and knew that her sister wasn't right for him. Once they began spending time together because of Sage moving in with Saint to help take care of his twins that her sister abandoned, the sparks started flying. A lot of people might have an issue with this storyline, but I didn't because their love for each other was genuine. Truth be told, Sage was the right woman for him instead of her sister. I was glad that the twins finally got the mother and the mother's love that they needed and deserved. I was also glad that Saint finally found someone whom he could shower his love and passion on and the love of his life. This "forbidden" love story was great to read, and a book that you should definitely give a chance.
Sage and Saint, this was a different type of story that I ended up completely into. Sage falls for the father of her niece and nephew, the ex husband of her sister, the man her sister abandoned with twins. It was organic the way the fell for one another, and while it was what some would call taboo - her trifiling sister didn't deserve a second thought. It's one thing to leave a man and never look back, but your kids are completely different. A love so wrong became a love so right.
I guess for me this book was crazy! I really didn't care for the fact that neither one of them could control their feelings. Broken up or not, not liking your sister or not, some lines you just don't cross! Saint was foul for falling for his Sister in Law and Sage was foul as well! I just didn't enjoy this one at all! How will they explain to the twins, and then marriage, naw not a great idea at all! I guess morale went out the window!!!
Unhinged and diabolical. Just kidding. But it made you look right? Lol, I loved this story. Yeah, most people might turn up their noses, but I didn't. When someone acts the way shorty did, then the results wind up just like this in most cases. I liked Sage and Saint. The only thing I didn't like was how much they brought up ole girl when she made herself non-relavent. Out of sight Out of mind! Lol, great read.
This wasn't that great. I don't care about the non conflict it just seemed their relationship was forced. And Sage wasn't watching Zaria when she got hurt seeing how she said she looked after she yelled and she was on the other side of the yard. Yeah it wasn't necessarily intentional but he had a right to be pissed. And I do think it was immature of her her response when he apologized. It clearly shows her naivete when it comes to relationships.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I would like to get ahold of Paisley myself. She was not right. I think you can't help who you love. Saint should have been firmer back when they visited the family the first time. If you have not downloaded or bought this book you need to. Monae Nicole you did your thing with this book
This was such a beautiful love story. It's just crazy how love can find you even in an unconventional way. The love between Sage and Saint came so naturally, and before either one of them knew it, they fell for each other. I'm glad they said Fuk everybody and decided to be together they deserve each other! And her sister is a piece of sh!t!!!
Omg. I wasn’t going to read this considering it’s about a sister’s ex but this read was good. Not only was her sister trash from the beginning but to do the kids like that was wild. But I enjoyed this read. I wish I had a little more though cause the detachment was sudden and how he kinda switched up.
This. Was an okay read I liked the MMC Saint and FMC Sage and the story line, I just needed more detail about her sister Paisley why was she in a rush to marry, then leave Saint with the kids why she dislike her sister …to many questions also I wanted details on their dating life because Saint became possessive quick. Those spice scenes were fire though
Loved how sage stepped in for the twins and saint! She was what they needed! You can’t help who you love and although some may frown upon it I’m glad saint and sage didn’t let their situation stop them from loving each other! Enjoyed reading their story.
This book was great but would have love to know what happened to Paisley and her reaction to finding out Sage did what she was suppose to do as a mother! Love the storyline between Sage and Saint not common but could happened
It is truly a very good story. It might have been wrong for some people, but your soulmate is your soulmate. Sometimes, the journey to your soulmate does not go by someone or certain societies standards.
The beauty that came from reading this story was everything. That sorry sister finally showed her love in an unexpected way. I liked Sage and Saint for each other. That love was loud.
Aww I love that they found love with one another. I would’ve liked some more back story with Paisley and why she just up and left. Maybe a part two where Sage & Saint get married and run into her somewhere. Idk.. I need a continuation tho
Sage and Saints love is unconventional but it works for them. Her sister was a piece of work and dead wrong. But her fumble worked out in Sage’s favor so good riddance.
This book was so good! I so loved their relationship. But I can’t even lie he had me all the way messed up for a minute there. Luckily he got hisself together
Sage was really sweet. Saint was a good guy but pissed me off snapping on her. I am still side eyeing that. It’s crazy how 1 daughter turned out so sweet and 1 so selfish.
Sleeping with your sister’s ex husband is a wrong. Sleeping with an in-law that was 17 years old when you met is just gross. This entire book gave me the ick.
