The worst thriller/spooky book I’ve ever read. I am amazed the author found so many ways to repeat the same thing over and over again constantly rephrasing what was already said.

The scariest thing about this book is that I made myself not DNF it.

Good story in the core

I liked the story itself. A classic murder mystery/haunted Mansion always pulls me in. But things moved a bit unrealistically fast and much too smooth to make this as believable as it could've been. There were little details about the past that could've easily enhanced the scenes and plot but instead, there's too much repetitive talk. Also, note to all Indie authors, SPELL CHECK AND GRAMMAR CHECK are your friends! There are a lot of writing mistakes but thankfully nothing that took away from the main tale. I would definitely read another book from this author as they hone their skills.

A persons true character

Ashley needs a new start in her life and learns that there are ghosts in her new house. As she tries to learn why the ghosts are in her home, she finds a mystery, danger, new friends, romance, and a new start. There are several twists and turns in the story. I gave this book a 4 rating due to several grammatical errors. I had to read several sentences a couple of times to understand what it was saying. Overall, the story was entertaining.

A haunted house mystery, with a protagonist fleeing an abusive husband, this novel includes lots of twists and turns. There’s a murdered ghost, a murderous ex, and help from surprising sources, all coming together to make an enticing mystery and a cool romance as well. A satisfying tale for a winter’s evening.

Disclosure: I got it on a deal.

Needs major editing

I loved this story and all its working parts but the typos and poor editing were so bad I subtracted two stars. I hope this is corrected.

It started off fairly strong. Old house, mysterious background, creepy happenings. All the good things. BUt eventually I kind of fell off with my interest. That’s probably just a me thing, not a writing or plot issue if I’m being honest.
