SLAY OR BE SLAIN
Fate sure likes to keep Cecilia on her toes. After being reincarnated as a doomed villainess in an otome game, she was sent to work in the brothels only to be saved by Lucas, the captain of the knights and second-in-line to the throne. But duty calls when an ancient dragon appears and Lucas--the kingdom's hero and sole wielder of the legendary sword Eckesachs--is called to save their kingdom from calamity. To make matters worse, Cecilia learns that every hero who has faced an ancient dragon in the past has been slain! Nevertheless, Lucas departs for battle with a promise that they will wed upon his return. But does fate intend to send him to the altar...or the grave?

I'M FINALLY FREE OF THIS BOOK GOOD GOD IT HAS BEEN A WHILE

So, Cecilia and Lucas are as insufferable as before, and Cecilia calling Lucas "Lord Lukie" is ingraned in my brain in a bad way. If this book was a fanfiction I'd already have dumped it, but I have severe stockholm syndrome and keep buying out series before I read them, so I'm stuck reading this whole shitshow until the end.

At least we got a new character in the form of the fiend dragon, even though he was immediatly sidelined HARD for more Cecilia/Lucas porn.

Whilst the previous book was an erotica with very little plot and a lot of sex scenes (I like that it knew what it was and embraced it (even with a 50-60 page long sex scene at the beginning of that book). This book tries to tell a story (which was flawed and mediocre). The story felt slow and rushed at the same time (especially with the Fenrir and then the dragon scene). The amnesia subplot is barely 40 pages long (even though it could've been the majority of the 2nd half). Quickly scrapped and felt like pointless filler to try and add stakes. Felt like the mediocre Yaoi novels Juné published in the 2000s.

Hopefully the 3rd book will return to it's erotica roots, as that's what this series does best.

ah, please don't use your brain when you read this. the plot doesn't make sense. I'm here only for the smut but I got annoyed by the FL and ML. the ML is unbearable. his personality sucks. not gonna read the next book.
