4 stars for me.
DCI Helen Lavery is back after her injury,and already on the new case.A fellow cop was murdered and tortured,was it something personal,or someone targeting the force?Soon more bodies follow,and Helen really needs hurry to find the killer.
When I started reading this book I realized that I was missing Helen and her cases.This one didn't disappoint,a chilling realization that the cop who was a wife and a mother was tortured and then brutally murdered was something I didn't expect.The pages keep turning until I get my answers.Helen is this great character,her compasion it's what made me root for her to get the killer and survive.Another great and engrossing book in DCI Helen Lavery series.
