Jilted by her fiance+a7, English Lady Alexandra Lambert flees to America, where she is captured by renegade Indians and then rescued by a nobleman who has also fled England to escape an arranged marriage. By the author of Sweet Deception. Original.
I'm not sure how much I like this book, lately I'm used to read about the life in England in the last books and here the characters don't like it and prefer to live in the forest with the Indians, they don't won't titles or anything like this they want colonial America and the wilds of Maryland, they want to live like the Shawnee tribe. But the book starts this way so it's not something new or a fast decision, it just feels really strange. I likes this book and enjoyed it, but there were a few things that just didn't feel right. However I likes this book and enjoyed reading it, maybe what matters is that America and Geoffrey are together in the end and that they are happy.
Enjoyed how the story kept moving at a good pace without lots of repetition from the main characters. Gave an interesting perspective on why white women were actually happy to live with the Indians. Really like Alexandra and her spunk even after something did not go her way. Also liked Hunter, his respect for others of both cultures, and his sense of responsibility.
