It's not unusual to feel a sense of despair after over-indulging in the news cycle. But rather than succumbing to that temptation, we need to become aware of the common threads in the decay of our civilization, and find ways to fight back. These pages shine a light on the chief methods of our enemies, and in so doing, empower the reader to respond, in the defense of our way of life. Defamed by modern critics, the West, once known as Christendom, holds truth, goodness, and beauty as the pillars of its foundation. These weight-bearers of our society are being eroded and risk collapse unless we make major changes in our direction. Let's look closer at what's happening, and how we can reverse course before we stand amidst the rubble.
Sarah Cain, known as The Crusader Gal, is a political and cultural commentator who makes videos about the decline of the West, and she writes Homefront Crusade. She is the author of Failing Foundations: The Pillars of the West Are Nearing Collapse.
Sarah Cain articulates many cultural issues afflicting us today succinctly and with great wit. The collection of essays was well curated and organized. She not only points out problems but also offers solutions; something often lacking from other thinkers du jour who only seem capable of screeching about things.
I took one star off because Ms. Cain is objectively wrong about industrial architecture and design. It is awesome and not dehumanizing at all. The only evil is if the brick is painted, it should always be exposed. Industrial design (converted factory buildings into apartments) should not be confused with Soviet-esque brutalism. That is an architectural style I can certainly agree is dehumanizing.
