I don't know how to place it as I have never read anything like it. It's good to see an author get out of their comfort zone and push limits. It's an intriguing story and really gets you thinking about humanity and it's direction, all while keeping it entertaining with spy gear and action. The Preface was hard to get through, but I can see it's necessity, if I were the author I would move that to the back possibly.
