I enjoyed this more than 10000 Hours. This book was funny as hell. I will never forget Menace having a mental breakdown over meatloaf and that fucking dinner scene🤣🤣🤣😭. The Casellis are a fucking trip!
Landon “Loverboy” Caselli. I loved this book so much. This was a love letter to the booktok girlies for sure. I smiled, blushed and cackled audibly through the whole thing. At his core, Landon is just a little boy who wants to be loved after not seeing it expressed in a traditional way growing up. In 10,000 hours we saw the tension & a little resentment that Landon had towards Menace, and I loved that in this book he begins to see Menace in a different way. Much like children when they grow up, the methods to their parents’ madness begin to make sense when you’re viewing it from a different lens. And I loved the shift in his and Menace’s dynamic & I hope it continues.
Navy was a great FMC. She was confident and secure in who she was and what she wanted out of her life. And she had a maturity that felt far beyond her 22ish years. I love the found family aspect and the way that Navy’s family embraced Landon and helped to heal a little part of him.
This book also has me so hyped up for Goon & Zoya’s book eventually. Because something is up with sis, and she’s also dying to experience a love like those around her and I need. for her to let Goon do that
Everything else was good enough, but I really think Jah needs to sit down with her editor because the stuff being missed or used incorrectly is wild. It wasn’t a ton of errors, but enough to irritate you if you’re paying attention.
I’m happy Landon got the love he deserved, but it always blows me how the MMCs talk big about getting their way… and it only ever applies to women. Like, by the third time he mentioned his feelings about his family, I was over it. CUS WHAT YOU TELLING US FOR AND NOT THEMMM? He cried about being the baby, feeling unloved, not knowing his parents… but every time Menace made an attempt, he was like “You sick or something?” LIKE DO YOU WANT HIM TO CARE OR NOT? Don’t get me wrong Menace definitely owed them some love and affection, but if I’m making an effort and you acting weird? Baby, I’ma keep it to myself.
This was way deeper than I expected, but it also felt long and drawn out.
As a Bronx girly myself, I loved the NYC references that actually held weight like you could feel it even if you’ve never lived there. Lmao shout out to C-Town ain’t even know they still had those 😂
I don’t have too many complaints about Navy. She was cool, a refreshing FMC. Her and Landon both annoyed me with the lack of boundaries, but they overcame lmao. They definitely needed to use the block feature, but whatever. Also Ken was a big let down and even though it wasn’t her story I felt like we saw too much of her but never could connect to her if that makes sense. Like yeah we rooting for Navy BUT if you giving the girl chapter make it worth something.
All in all, this was a nice story. It was enjoyable, gave a different perspective on some characters, and made me like Menace more than I did before lmaoo. And it made me dislike his bad ass brother-son a little more. Landon might be a wishy-washy relative, but he’s a good boyfriend lmaoo.
Yeah it’s something about those Caselli’s. Jahquel just does it for me and this was no different. I really did t know what yo expect because we haven’t spent much time with Landon but I liked him immediately. Watching him find exactly what he didn’t know he needed in Navy and her family was perfect.
Miss Navy Bleu…..a book girlie. A content creator. I just really liked her as a person. She gave me good vibes and watching her and Landon fall in love felt good. Strangers where? Another banger from Jahquel. Per usual.
Full transparency, I was ready to DNF multiple times because this book felt draining - in fact it didn't start taking a turn for me until about the 80% mark and even then it was a short turn. For most of this book I didn't feel any connection with these characters and the drama with the ex's felt too drawn out all the way through the book. Then *spoiler alert* for Navy to be so resolute on not wanting kids but not doing anything to prevent it, and speaking so carelessly about abortion like it was birth control, turned me completely off. You don't want kids cool - F them kids. BUT, be responsible and either don't do what it takes to make them OR use protection. Beating us over the head about not wanting kids for 20+ chapters was diabolical, we got it the first time Miss Girl, SHESH.
To be honest, both Landon and Navy came off as irresponsible and immature for most of the book and it made me dislike both of them a little bit. Especially how he wanted to be a part of Navy's family so bad but ignored his nephew every single time was weird behavior.
And despite slapping the "instalove" trope in the Author's Note, this book felt like everything but instant or love. It was long drawn-out ex related drama mixed with hot and heavy seggs scenes. The desire couldn't be missed, but the fact that so much time and space was given to the exes and then all the abortion talk didn't make me feel like this was a love story at all. Lust, at best.
Overall, I did like Navy's family dynamic and I could appreciate how Landon grew up and fell for Navy, but the sum total of this book was repetitive banter, a lot of steamy scenes, too much ex interaction and way too much "I don't want kids" talk while doing nothing to prevent them. Kennedys point of view was useless and her last chapter was so unbelievablely unnecessary and disgusting. I was not a fan of this one and I struggled to finish it.
Don and Navy Bleu 💙 This was such a sweet story. I love a good found family trope! Navy being a Kindle girlie was so relatable……. I’ll read anywhere!!! Menace had me laughing the whole time and calling that baby Dennis was hilarious.
Whew! I don’t even know where to begin with this one—Don Caselli easily became my favorite read, hands down. From the very first page, I was completely hooked. Jahquel knows how to pull you into a world that’s gritty, passionate, dangerous, and emotionally raw all at once.
Don Caselli isn’t just a character—he’s an experience. Complex, intense, and layered with power and vulnerability. I loved how Jahquel made him feel real; not just a book boyfriend but someone you genuinely connect with on every page. The chemistry? Off the charts. The tension? Addictive. The drama? Just enough to keep your heart racing but not overwhelm the plot.
Every twist had me flipping pages faster, and the emotional depth in certain scenes? Whew. I caught myself rereading just to feel it again. This wasn’t just another romance—it was a full-blown obsession by the time I hit the last chapter.
If you love alpha energy with heart, vivid storytelling, and characters that stay with you long after the last page, Don Caselli is a must. Jahquel did what needed to be done with this one—top shelf storytelling. Period.
I had a time… Don boyyyyy you gave Bleu a run for her money but the way he catered to her man I can only wish my real life man brings that kind of energy. This will be a lot of people’s favorite book bae although I’m partial to Menace.
Maybe I’m just a little messy, but I was low-key hoping Aimee would make an appearance. A bit more drama, a little more angst, and this easily could’ve been a five-star read for me. Still good nonetheless.
So, it goes without saying that I enjoyed this book but what really had me all the way stuck in was the vulnerable honesty of each out the characters. Bleu stood on business with how she wanted to live her life and the fact that she was prepared to lose people in her life in order to walk in her own purpose and be the woman she wanted to be was amazing.
Landon on the other hand had taken a hit to his heart, yes, but was he closed off and shut down behind it? No he was not. He was putting himself out there and open enough to want to learn how to give and receive love. It was so beautiful.
Adding Menace into the mix was just the perfect comedic relief that we can all use especially when a book touches on heavy topics. I think we have all loved Menace since he kidnapped Stevie in 10,000 Hours and it was so refreshing to see that he was actively in therapy and working to repair a relationship with his brother.
I also loved how Jahquel J. basically allowed Bleu's character to write her love letter to the city that shaped and molder her throughout her life. Just like her parents were there to raise her so was New York. I loved this book down bad, can you tell? Do yourself a favor and go in with an open mind, allow Landon and Navy to walk you through their love story with fresh eyes, I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
I feel like I kept wanting more from Landon. In Jah's other books, there was a connection to the main characters that I just couldn't tap into this go around.
This is my opinion. The author is a good author. She makes good books, but I have a few opinions of my own regarding Don and Navy. I feel like everybody in this family needs therapy. I feel like Don only wanted not to have kids because Navy didn’t want to just like with Kennedy he latching onto women’s because he lack the emotional attachment of a parent in his life and navy, I feel like the reason why she did not want kids is because she didn’t wanna have to have a kid struggling like her mom and her dad they all need therapy before they made some big decision about him getting a vasectomy or she getting rid of her tubes at young age you don’t just wake up one day and just say I’m gonna get my tubes tied I don’t care what nobody says. I’m gonna get it done and get it removed. There’s definitely some mental issues behind that And I feel like there should’ve been more emotional connection as a woman carrying a child even though she did not want the child, even after having a miscarriage, it still will be an emotional connection specially with an innocent child and a woman who believed in God and pray everyday will have a little bit more emotions a little more conscious about how they carry themselves or having a miscarriage on a woman body is something serious and I don’t like how they just brush it up under the rug.. and Don didn’t have no connection with his nephew this family have a lot of slow and mentally challenge. Women and men🤦🏾♀️. I want to see more connection.but the sex scenes was 🔥 😊..
Obsessed with Don and Bleu. As a reader, traveller and a sims girly I related so much with Navy Bleu. I love how she knew what she wanted for her life and stuck to it. Landon supported her through it all and he showed up for her in every way. From the procedure, to setting up her family for retirement, the proposal at the library, the book nook at the house.. he was the definition of intentional love. As an acts of service/ gifts love language girly this book spoke to me.
Don Caselli, Babyyyyy… this book had me blushing, breathless, and ready to bow down right alongside Navy Bleu (Don't Tell Menace)
Landon Caselli was raised with privilege, power, and the one rule he wasn’t supposed to break. but love doesn’t follow rules. He shattered it the moment Navy Bleu entered his world. It was insta-love in the best way. He saw her. Wanted her. Claimed her. And the way he cared for her during one of the most painful chapters of her life. whew, you could feel the love in every protective touch and whispered promise.
But this wasn’t one-sided. Navy didn’t just fall, she caught him. When Landon wasn’t in control, when his past crept up, when he needed peace, she was home. She held him down, let him in, and made space for him in a family built on Love.
Now let’s talk spice. That man was a menace in and out of the bedroom. Respectfully nasty. Controlling in the right ways. Landon had me giggling like I was in the relationship. I wanted to submit at the same time. (If you tell Menace that means you hate me. Do you hate me?)
This one had me in a chokehold. The way love, loyalty, and lust were poured onto these pages. A Second Caselli man fell, and baby… I fell right with him.
This was a solid 4-star read for me! I really enjoyed the story overall, but whew Kennedy was so annoying. She definitely needs to go heal and do some serious soul-searching. I was beyond happy when Landon finally stopped dealing with her.
Speaking of Landon, he is that man. I love him even more in this book. And Navy? That girl is literally me. I take my Kindle everywhere too. Their relationship was super cute and felt natural; they really balanced each other out in the best way.
Kennedy really had me mad at that dinner table scene though. Like, girl… what was that?? Absolutely unnecessary.
Menace continues to be a hilarious mess; his antics always have me laughing. I lost it when he and Stevie nicknamed the baby Dennis 😭. Classic Menace energy.
Also, I’m 100% with Navy on the no kids lifestyle. Rich TT forever!
All in all, I loved the book, even if it didn’t quite top Menace’s story for me. Honestly, nobody’s touching Menace except maybe Quasim.
BIG DONNNNNNN "Say it Bleu, I love you Landon Caselli"
ATP idk which one of these men are my favorite !😭🚂 I didn’t know what to expect from this book but I definitely wasn’t expecting it to be like it was.
Don knew he was in love from the first linkkkkk. The St. Lucia trip, the library scene, everything about this was just LOVEEEE. The way Navy family loved on him was so refreshing and healing I just couldn’t take it. I want more of them.
Landon Caselli really showed up and showed out in this book. He and Navy were a match made in heaven. I loved everything about their intimate moments. I feel like this book more than any of the others Gabe me a real opportunity at getting to know these characters and I absolutely adore them. The Caselli family, and their in-laws are everything.
The Caselli series by Jahquel J is the kind of saga that grabs you by the throat and refuses to let go. I went into it thinking I would just casually read, but instead I found myself bingeing book after book, completely invested in this family and their tangled lives. The Casellis are not your average family. They are big, bold, and complicated, filled with loyalty, secrets, and love that is just as messy as it is powerful. Every single character is written with depth, and you can feel their flaws, their struggles, and their humanity. They are not perfect, but that is exactly what makes them unforgettable. Menace is a lot. He is touched in his own way, and Jahquel does not shy away from showing us his sharp edges. His temper, his unpredictable choices, his complicated way of loving, it all made him magnetic. Sometimes I wanted to shake him, sometimes I wanted to hug him, but I was always drawn to him. That is the thing about Menace, he will frustrate you and break your heart, but you cannot look away. Navy absolutely stole my heart. As a book girlie myself, I felt so connected to her. She is soft without being weak, strong without being loud, and she carries a quiet resilience that makes you root for her every step of the way. Her love story in the Caselli series was my favorite part. It was not a fairytale, it was messy, passionate, and real. It reminded me of how scary but beautiful it is to open yourself up to love when life has already handed you pain. Navy brought such a sense of balance, peace, and light to a family and world that could be chaotic, and I loved every page of her journey. Jahquel J has a way of writing love that feels raw and vulnerable. It is not just romance for the sake of romance, it is survival, it is healing, it is two people finding each other in the middle of storms. She knows how to capture that heart-racing pull between two characters, the kind that makes you want to highlight entire chapters because it feels that real. What makes the Caselli series so addictive is how it gives you a little bit of everything. There is drama that will have you gasping, family bonds that feel like your own, characters that make you laugh, others that make you cry, and love stories that make your heart skip. You will be frustrated, swooning, and cheering all in the same chapter. The Caselli series is not just a read, it is an experience. Jahquel J built a world that feels alive, and once you step into it, you do not want to leave. If you are a fan of complex families, flawed men you cannot help but love, strong women who hold their own, and romance that feels both passionate and painfully real, this series is a must-read
Jah knows how to write a MMC!!! Big Don!!!!!! Definitely not the little one. I listened to the audiobook and the narrators did not disappoint. I didn’t think I would love this book as much as Menace book but Don and Navy ( Europe according to Menace lol) story was chef’s kiss. I was also excited that Menace and Wonder were in the book because they definitely bring the laughs. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
I loved reading about Don and his Pooh. The way the siblings are different but still have some of the same ways are crazy, can definitely tell they’re spending more time with Menace 😂.
I loved how Don and Pooh loved one another, how they were both so patient and gentle with each other.
Darn it Jah! You did it again! Your pen gets better and better. I didn’t see that union when I first started reading. When the Caselies love they fall hard!
I loveddddddd this one! Listen the spice IS SPICINGGGGGG 😜😜 Don is my kinda nasty and I’m a little jealous of Navy Bleu 😂😂
I love that Don is getting a chance to step up and play a role in the family businesses! Seeing him through out the Delgato and Inferno series has allowed us to really watch Don grow up as a man. Navy and her family was everything that Don needed in his life. Navy needed someone to really SEE her and LISTEN to what she wanted/needed. Landon Caselli was the man for the job. I can’t wait to see them more through the series to see what they are up to!
This was a simple cute love story. I don’t know what I expected but I needed more. I Glad the characters could heal themselves. I think I was expecting to see what Don did with his hacking and what he did with Core for the Caselli family.
Something has changed with Jahquel’s pen and I don’t like it.
This was a cute story but felt like it was missing something. A lot of it felt forced and it was hard to connect with either character. There are insta-love stories that have you cheesing and falling in love with the characters and their stories. This one just annoyed me. The last 3rd of the book felt rushed.
Loved seeing Menace’s growth in this book since being married and a father. I found myself more interested in reading about him, Stevie, and Navy’s family. They were all the stars of the show. I was excited for the next couple of books but with the change in writing style is going, not sure if I will rush to read them.
I really ate this up 🤭😮💨💕 Don and Navy were the cutest! I loved their summer romance so much! Navy was really our bookish girly and so relatable while Landon grew so much throughout the book and became her perfect match 🥲🫶🏽 and I loooooooved their low stakes, no 3rd act breakups, and summer vibes. This was just so fun from beginning to end.
I thought it was going to be Kennedy & I am so glad it wasn’t. Girl, you were so worried about how Menace felt about you & Don, that is messed up your happy ever after. Now you out here looking stupid with Alex’s old, can’t keep it in his pants a**.
I never write reviews, but this book deserved one. This book was amazing from beginning to end. The love that these two showed each other was out of this world. They were so besotted by each other. This book was for the book girlies & I loved that for us. We also got to see a different side of menace in this book & I am so glad that he seems to be opening up more.
I was able to relate to Navy in so many ways. Going out to a birthday dinner with “kindlesha”? Yep, that’s me. If my book can’t go with me, then don’t invite me out lol my girl just wanted to be loved & didn’t want no damn kids. The fact that Antwan was out here trying to trap her while cheating? Trifling. I’m glad Jett had him flying out this book.
My guy Don aka Dom 🫣 oh, Jah did her thing with this book. The libidos in this book 😮💨🤤🤤🤤 So many scenes I had to bookmark because what? He had my girl folded every which way. The library proposal 🥰 The book room he built for her 🥰 God, it’s me again(now i sound like Zoya) 😂😂😂
Anyways, I won’t say too much more lol but I was happy to see Mavie & Michael pop up in the book and welcome Dennis into the world.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
