Deeply enjoyed this book! Very engaging and touching. I appreciated how all the pieces were woven into the story, and I’ll be thinking about this one for quite a while

I think it’s rare to read a book that is both so well-written and accessible. In his book, the author intersperses family history, travel, and discussion of place and meaning. I appreciated the humanity with which the book was written - as a reader, you experience the tenderness, vexation, and mundanity along with the author. I found the book to be both interesting, and also deeply touching.
