Christmas chaos? I can handle that. But Brian Sinclair? That’s a whole different story.
He’s the sharp-suited mogul who can buy anything he wants—including this gala I’m running. One night with him was supposed to be enough.
But now I’m pregnant, single, and hiding a very obvious secret from the man who doesn’t take no for an answer.
Every smirk, every touch, every look that lingers too long has me sweating under the mistletoe. He says this gala is about giving back, but the way he watches me? It’s clear he’s here to take.
What happens when he unwraps the truth? Because this Christmas, I’m either falling into his bed...
...or watching everything go up in flames.

It was a wild ride Jasmine was determined to make a life as an independent woman not needing anyone. Including the father of her baby. But, she just could not get the ruthless playboy CEO Brian Sinclair out of her mind after their mind-blowing one-night stand. Little did she know that she had the same effect on him. It wasn't until six months later when he hired her to organize a charity event to improve his public persona that he noticed that baby bump and found himself jealous of the man who got her pregnant and found himself wanting to take care of her and her baby. His personality was slowly changing because he realized he loved her. She was determined not to let him know he was the father until he overheard a conversation between her and her best friend. She was scared he would ask her to get an abortion or control her or hurt her like her father did her mother. Public perception only gets half-truths and tanks Brian's reputation and Jasmine challenges him to do what is right. He's determined to love her and their baby and any sacrifice he makes is worth his perseived bottom line. He life becomes all the better because of it.
I still can't figure out why "rodeo" is in the title. I enjoyed reading how both of the characters learned how to trust each other and let love in.
I love the romance in here, how Brian let Jasmine know how important she is in his life. Getting a man to cook for you almost daily and they work as well that is a goldmine right there, than add love 💕 into it add than you gave something that’s priceless. Truly a a story for Christmas.
I’m not giving a rating for this book since I DNF’d it around 60%.
I decided to give this author (Tyla Walker) one last chance with reading a book authored or co-authored by her. The premises of all of the books I’ve read that she’s either the sole author or co-written has been great. But, I cannot handle the broken continuity or the inconsistency within her books.
This book follows Jasmine, a self made event planner who has risen to the top of her field and Brian, a businessman who has bought property and is essentially gentrifying neighborhoods. He has a bad reputation of being a ruthless businessman and not giving homeowners the money their property is actually worth. He hires Jasmine’s event planning company to throw a Christmas party/ fundraiser to give back to the community he’s most recently upended. Brian and Jasmine have history and seven month prior to Brian hiring her, had a one night stand that resulted in a pregnancy that Brian knew nothing about. Jasmine has decided because of Brian’s business reputation he’s not fit to be a father and decides to initially to him that the baby isn’t his when he asks her about paternity. The FMC in this book was wholly unlikable. Judging someone’s business character by reading articles about them is different than actually getting to know them. She knew him enough and liked him enough to sleep with him, but not to have the decency to let him know that he was going to be a father. I understand having a checkered past and things happening in your childhood that would make you view things through a different lens as you get older, but you cannot project your problems on another person. Also, Brian wasn’t particularly likable either, I just felt sorry for him most of the book. He has all of these unrequited feelings for Jasmine and they are not reciprocated. The thing that made me DNF this book was reading one too many issues in the span of two chapters when the line literally should have been said by a different character. It was like the authors kept getting lost on which chapter the POV was being written from. Jasmine would speak in 3rd person about herself and Brian mentioned rising to the top and being the greatest in the event planning business when that’s clearly Jasmine’s lane. This book should have taken me at most two days to read, but unfortunately has taken over a week and all of my patience.
“The Heart Wants What It Wants- Or Else It Does Not Care.” ~Emily Dickenson
Jasmine and Brian are inexplicably drawn to each other. From the moment they meet, an electric charge pulses between them, a physical chemistry so intense it leaves them breathless. But beneath the surface, something deeper stirs—something neither can quite name. It’s more than attraction; it’s a pull that tugs at the very core of who they are.
One conversation is all it takes to tip them over the edge. What starts as a night of passion becomes something more—something neither of them is prepared for. The raw intensity of their connection shakes them to their foundations, leaving them both unsettled for very different reasons.
For the next six months, Brian wrestles with emotions he refuses to confront. He tells himself it was just one night, but no matter how hard he tries, he can’t seem to shake Jasmine from his thoughts. The memory of that night lingers like an unfinished manuscript demanding an ending.
Jasmine, on the other hand, is haunted not just by the night they shared but by ghosts from her past. The shadow of her father—a man both arrogant and cruel—still looms larger than life in her memory. Those terrifying moments shape her fears, her choices, and her belief in love. She has spent years keeping her heart guarded, yet Brian managed to slip past her defenses in a way she never expected.
Emily Dickinson’s quote captures the essence of Jasmine and Brian’s struggle perfectly. Their hearts are undeniably drawn to each other, but fear and past wounds keep them from surrendering to it.
Will Brian and Jasmine find the courage to face what’s between them, or will fear keep them apart?
Tyla Walker pulled out all the stops in this novel. You don’t want to miss out on this amazing story. ~QS.

I tried to like the story but after the third chapter reading became too painful. It was soo cliche and repetitive! Jasmine was very stubborn for absolutely no reason and for Brian to say he loved Jasmine after being treated like crap confuses me. Yes she is having your child, that doesn’t mean it’s meant to be.
What really got me and made me skip to the end was the birth! How can Jasmine not have Brian in the delivery room because she was gonna cuss him and was concerned about her looks so she made him wait in the waiting room like the rest of the family. Ummm I believe that’s most pregnant women who give birth.
The timelines just jumped without clear timestamps and the story was not proofread properly, because one minute Jasmine has the baby against her chest and Brian did at the same time? It was just a noooo, because every chapter without fail Jasmine mentions how they were in the beginning like it was a “love story” worth telling.
Brian and Jasmine were drawn together and thought that they could enjoy each other for the night, which they were both lying to themselves. for six long months, they replayed that night in their dreams on a loop. and when they opportunity arose, Brian pulled Jas back in. and then... he saw something. something others hadn't been paying attention to. a baby bump. his baby's bump, he was hoping. and it was. and that was the beginning of their story. who she assumed was a ruthless businessman, turned out to be a big old softie. loved when she woke up and said his wife was a lucky woman, he told her that she was his wife. they made a sexy, cute couple. loved how his family embraced their relationship.
Jasmine and Brian spent one amazing night together, and it will never be forgotten. Jasmine is pregnant is trying to hide it from everyone, except her best friend. Brian has no idea that he's fathered a child and Brian but what will happen when, not if, he does. Needless to say, life and circumstances conspire to make sure Brian finds out. In addition, the media vultures are circling around like sharks and mudding the waters, This is a PR and business nightmare! What a mess, talk about drama. To find out what happens, you will have to read the book.

Mistletoe Rodeo is a fun little romance that's perfect for a quick escape. Jasmine and Brian have a one-night stand that leads to an unexpected pregnancy. When they cross paths again, sparks fly, but there's also a lot of drama and misunderstandings.
The story is light and fluffy, with plenty of steamy scenes to keep you entertained. However, the characters could have been developed more. Jasmine, in particular, felt a bit one-dimensional at times.
Overall, it's a decent read if you're looking for a quick and easy romance. Just don't expect too much depth or complexity.

Brian and Jasmine share an intimate evening that leads to pregnancy. Both of them are still dealing with lingering feelings but for Jasmine her pregnancy has her going into protection mode given her background with a dysfunctional father. Keeping her pregnancy a secret from Brian is a must for her but when he finds out will she give in and admit the truth and will it lead them along the path to happiness.

This story was good. I was not a fan of Jasmine not telling Brian that he is going to be a father. I get the fear from childhood trauma, but painting another person with that same brush, isn't fair. I did feel there was too much detail and repetitive phrases. I love seeing the weddings and babies to come but, SPOILER ALERT... why skip the second pregnancy to the third? Overall a good story.
I wanted to enjoy this story but it ended up being a DNF. The FMC really irked my nerves. I found her to be irritating and unreasonable. I am all for strong women but she was just.... no words. She needed therapy for everything she went through and the demands she made on Brian based upon gossip. Girl bye. There are a lot more things I can say, but I won't. I always applaud authors that put out their work for the world to read, but this one I just couldn't.
Although Jasmine did not have the best childhood and having to watch her mom’s put up with constant abuse, she is not a favorite h. 🤷🏾 So many assumptions made off hypothetical information without trying to find the truth got on my nerves. There was a bit of word repetition, but great book overall!🫶🏾
This was terrible, poorly written, and clearly unedited. I really tried to get through it but I'm really not understanding her asking him "why are you here now" as if she didn't keep the pregnancy from him, lie to him when he asked, and then kept him out of the hospital room. This was not good.
This was a fun and entertaining read perfect for the holidays. I absolutely loved Brian from the very start. Who doesn't love a ruthless business man turn cinnamon roll. The way he stepped up and showed out to prove to Jasmine he was 100% in it for the long haul was everything.
I enjoy this book. Walker and Silk are great writers together. This book kept me spellbound from the start until the end. Get your copy, worth the read.
The writing was disjointed and redundant. Reads like a poorly written AI experiment. The female character wasn't likeable at all. 2 stars is being generous.
