One bad date too many calls for desperate measures . . .
Nora is well and truly fed up. After more painfully bad dates than she can count, she’s had enough of leaving it to fate to find her perfect match – but she's not quite ready to give up on her love life just yet.

As a statistician, Nora trusts numbers more than her gut, so when she finds a formula that could help her conquer the dating game, she has to give it a go.

Putting her love theory to the test takes Nora to some questionable places with some even more questionable men, but she won't be deterred – she knows that 'the one' must be out there, somewhere. Even if he's the last person she'd have expected. . .

Slipping into a new Bella Osborne book is like bumping into an old friend and grabbing a chat. You know you’re in good company, and laughs are guaranteed. (Not Quite) Done With Dating shines a light on the concept of the one that got away. I’m sure many of us have experienced whimsical thoughts about a fizzled-out romance from our dating history, but would we be brave enough to revisit the past?

Nora is a statistician, and she believes that numbers can provide the answers to all of life’s mysteries, so she sets out to put her theory to the test with hilarious results. I really liked Nora. We have little in common, as I am rubbish with numbers, and stats don’t get me excited. That said, I admired her positivity and determination to prove the numbers can be right.

This book isn’t just about Nora; there are some terrific characters along for her adventure, including her best friend, Dixie, who has poured her hopes, dreams, and money into an adventure with a campervan named Elsie. There are also a couple of members of the Crafting and Cocktails group who meet weekly: Renee and Jay.

Bella’s observations of the trauma wrapped up in the modern dating market are spot on, and she certainly understands the minefield that is internet dating. Of course, she delivers each experience in her own inimitable way. The comedic timing is on the button, and I genuinely laughed out loud at some of the situations that Nora and her friends found themselves in. Out of all the characters, I particularly enjoyed reading about Renee and would love to have her as a friend. Her anecdotes had me chuckling along.

Notwithstanding the above, this is a book about the beauty of human connections and how certain friendships can provide a family we make for ourselves. Friends aren’t – and shouldn’t be – all the same, and I loved the variety that Bella imagined for this book. Nora’s reflections and experiences were relatable, and I truly felt her frustrations with revisiting old flames.

It’s another smashing book, and I really hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

This is such a fun read. I’ve laughed out loud at the antics both Nora and Dixie get up to. We follow Nora’s attempts to find Mr Right and Dixie’s attempts to prove her worth and we’re given a hilarious chain of events for both of them and Jay as well.
Renee was my favourite character - her stories of the rich and famous too absurd to be false! She had a tale for every eventuality and a skill hidden up her sleeve for every need.
The friendship between Jay and Nora was really special- they had so much in common and obviously meant the world to eachother. The support they provided to one another a huge part of their friendship

From the first chapter I was giggling. Nora was a wonderful character and I was willing her numbers to come up in the shape of the perfect man!
The supporting cast were an amazing bunch of quirky characters and I warmed to them immediately, especially Renee, an older lady but an absolute hoot, everyone needs a Renee as a friend.

What a fabulous set of characters this book has.

We have Nora, who is a statistician, who lives life according to statistics, and is now trying to apply a new statistical theory to her love life. She is convinced that the rule of 37% is key to it all, and in order to prove it, she is on a journey to revisit some of her exes.

She wonders if she was too hasty initially in dumping them, and generally I think she may have had some lucky breaks.

There is Dixie, her best friend who after losing her latest job, is encouraged to use the 37% rule to a list of potential new careers, and thus she turns into an influencer. She's wonderfully impulsive and ends up on a bit of an adventure that just reminds me how daft social media really can be at time. While really wanting to see Arnold in person! (Arnold is part of the local wildlife of where she ends up, but I'm not revealing what animal!).

You've got the wonderful Renee. Omg I totally loved this woman, she is much older than the rest, but a key part of their rafting and cocktails club. There is absolutely nothing this woman can't do, and the life she has lived with all of her anecdotes, if they are to be believed makes her amazing. And if not then she has a very vivid imagination. She is larger than life, full of energy, possibly likes her cocktails extra strength, and is an absolute breath of fresh air in any chapter she appears in.

And the last key member of their club is Jay, who is an actor. It is also rather obvious he is trying to impress a woman, as he's doing various things that are clearly outside of his comfort zone. This includes Bruce, and seeing Jay and Bruce interact especially initially is hilarious.

I adored this friendship group, and just how close they all are. Seeing how they are all trying to take on new things in their lives, is heartwarming and there are many laughs to be had too.

This was such an enjoyable book to read, I loved seeing the variety of Nora's exes, there is a trip to an animal rescue that I really loved, and all the characters antics just brough smiles to my faces.

Another complete and utter hit from Bella Osborne. I can't wait for her next books!

Full of heart and Bridget Jones-worthy antics, this was the perfect Rom-Com to start the year with!

The writing was wonderfully witty and the cast of characters all incredibly endearing. I didn’t realise this was a multi-POV novel before starting, but getting to see the hilarious shenanigans each character stumbled into (and the unique ways in which they dealt with each situation) was marvellous.

Nora is our main character with a logical, statistical approach to love that sees her undertake a Seven Exes/ What’s My Number-esque journey in the hopes one of her exes might be “The One”.

Her quirkiness and enthusiasm for her dating formula was really quite engaging. And I enjoyed exploring each of her past relationships and the reasons that led/ contributed to each breakup.

I also loved her dynamics with Jay, Nora’s supportive (cinnamon roll) actor friend. His POV was really entertaining, especially after adopting Bruce (the most bearlike and mischievous dog imaginable.) And have to admit, watching him and Bruce navigate each other was genuinely the most I’ve laughed out loud in ages.

I really liked Dixie, Nora’s budding influencer bestie (who heads off on a solo trip in a 70s campervan) as well. With no real experience of car maintenance or the outdoors, Dixie’s POV only builds on Nora and Jay’s hilarious mishaps (including a cameo from the world’s angriest squirrel.) Which, combined, had me glued to my seat!

But the character that stole my heart the most (besides Bruce) had to be Renee. The sassy, G&T crafting retiree whose wicked sense of humour, wild stories and surprisingly diverse skill set has me eager to see her get her own spin-off.

Overall an enjoyable and uplifting read that Rom-Com fans should definitely consider checking out!

Also, thanks to Emma over at Bantam/Transworld for the proof.

An easy, feel-good romance!

I enjoyed the overall plot, and once I realised that there were multiple POVs, I enjoyed getting to know the many characters as well. I found Nora to be a bit too much of a stereotype at the start of the story - it felt like her only personality trait was that she was into statistics. However, as the plot progressed, I could appreciate her nuances with her overbearing parents and her unexpected yet wonderful relationships with her friends.

I like a good friends to lovers trope, though it felt like it took a bit too long to develop the friendship until everything happened very quickly at the end. I found their tension to be a bit over-exaggerated in the final act, though everything still tied up nicely. I thought Dixie was actually the most relatable, with her dreams, impulsivity, and being quick to love. Her journey brought a gentle frustration to the reader, but I wanted to route for her all the same.

Renee, on the other hand, was so funny and no-nonsense. It's a classic trope to have the older friend be so jarring but gods do I love to read about it. The drama with the engineering and pet sitting definitely kept me intrigued, though I wish more time had been spent on her personal life given her happy ending.

Overall, it was a perfectly nice rom-com of unique characters with deep frienships. I think existing fans would love this story, and anyone looking for a low-stakes easy read in the romance genre would also appreciate it.

Nora is a statistician who is fed up after having a string of bad dates. Not ready to give up, she decides to use her love of numbers and create a formula that will help her find her soulmate. Putting her theory to the test she finds herself in some questionable places with some even more questionable men, but undeterred she continues - she knows ‘the one’ must be out there somewhere.

I haven’t read any books by this author, but I wanted to read this as I really liked the unique, fun concept behind this one. This ended up a cute, quirky read and had a lot of amusing moments. I enjoyed seeing some of the situations the characters found themselves in and found there to be some laugh out loud scenes.

There were a great bunch of characters in this story and I liked the relationships between them, however at times they came across a bit stereotypical. I was drawn into the story almost straight away, however as the story wore on, I began to grow less fond of the silliness, even so it was still an uplifting and heart warming read. My main issue with the overall story was that I found it predictable and the romance elements didn’t feel as in depth as I imagined it would have. Saying that, this is a great book for those looking for a sweet, humorous and easy to read romcom and I’ll keep a look out for more books by this author. 3.5 stars rounded down. I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve just finished this book and really enjoyed it - I’d say a 4.5/5 star and only that as I felt it could’ve been a slightly shorter and got to the ending we were hoping for a little bit quicker.

I’ve not read any of the author’s books before but I really liked her writing and it really felt like you were part of it and I felt consumed by both the main and supporting characters. It felt like it was a story about different types of relationships, not just dating or love lives but also friendships, family and dogs. There was so much joy, laughs and love that it was hard to stop reading (& I didn’t want to stop!)

The concept is really about “the one that got away” and Nora, our main female character, using stats and data to test her theory that she might’ve unfairly given up on a previous love, so she’s determined to reconnect with them to check. However, could she then be missing out on something better and more authentic right infront of her? And I’m not referring to Bruce, the adorable German Shepherd rescue dog she co-adopts with her friend, Jay.

I found the novel a lovely read and felt a bit emotional by the time it ended (in a good way). I also thought the stories, for all the characters, were nicely wrapped up.

Thanks again to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

We meet Nora,Jay,Renee and Dixie as the main characters in this more than enjoyable humorous read about the perils of dating and the fun of finding ‘the one’

Nora, loves statistics and I loved her love of them and found the info bites she gave interesting and often made me smile, she decides to retrace her love life and meet up with her ex’s,basically to see if she let the wrong one go

Jay,an actor just about to ‘make it’,lovable and genuine and when he acquires Bruce from the Animal Rescue, chaos ensues

Renee an ‘older’ lady with a tall tale ready at any situation and a penchant for making very strong Martinis and

Dixie, who has uber rich parents and now wants to make it on her own….in a camper van called Elsie,so old it doesn’t even have to have road tax

It's a story of loyalty and friendship, love and tears and all the way through made me laugh as I went on the journey with them and felt had become part of their group

I loved every page 💜 and was only disappointed when it ended….

I love how Bella Osborne deviates from run-of-the-mill romances and instead, throws in a mix of characters into her stories. These characters are quirky, eccentric at times and most of all, highly entertaining. Nora may have been the main character but the story also revolved around her crafting and cocktail club friends - Dixie, Renee and of course Jay.

After several failed relationships and dates, Nora is determined to fine 'the one'. In doing so, she decides to reconnect with several of her exes after wondering if she gave up on those relationships in haste. Best friend Dixie is determined to become an influencer and decides to buy a camper van to go and live a life on the road - which she does after the van breaks down just a few miles from home. Jay is an actor who is on the cusp of gaining popularity and Renee is a jack of all trades with witty and over the top tales to tell.

Overall, Not Quite Done with Dating is an entertaining read.

)Not Quite) Done With Dating is a fun take on the search for "the one" with an endearing cast of quirky characters.

Nora, Dixie, Renee and Jay are friends through a Crafting and Cocktail group. Nora is a statistician who lives her life based on numbers - and applying that to her love life, decides to revisit some of her exes to prove a theory she swears by - and quite a group they prove to be!

She also persuades friend Dixie to choose a new career on the basis of her theory - which leads Dixie to buy a clapped out camper van she names Elsie and become an influencer. Add in aspiring actor Jay, on the cusp of his big break, and his over-enthusiastic rescue dog Bruce, and full of life retiree Renee, whose endless supply of tall tales and penchant for rustling up strong cocktails and some "interesting" recipes - and this eclectic group of friends get themselves in quite some situations!

Their friendship is heartwarming and there antics will make you laugh. And what Nora discovers is that sometimes you find love where you least expect it.

This was a nice read. Nora was an interesting character, who wants to find love and uses a number algorithm to try and achieve it.

Her friends are great characters also, I liked Dixie and enjoyed her adventures ( even if she didn’t get very far ). Her funny adventures with Arnold the squirrel and Renee’s cooking experiment. Ned is just the solid person she needed to let her see how amazing she is and has a lot to offer.

Jay is so obviously interested in Nora, but to shy to say, so in true best friend style he sets out to help her find love, he even adopts a giant bear of a dog that he’s terrified of. It was nice to see, the more he tried to impress Nora, the more he was pushed out of his comfort zone and his confidence grew and he became more self assured. Until at last Nora notices and realises Jay is just what she’s been looking for.

A nice easy read that gives a few giggles along the way.

Great classic but very modern new rom com from Bella Osborne is a delight and hilariously funny!!
Friends Nora Jay Dixie and Renee meet regularly for crafting and cocktails where they catch up with each other’s lives and support each other wholeheartedly through life’s adventures!
Nora has come up with a new plan in order to find her ‘one’ as her journey to romance has been rocky and the pressure from her parents is constant. As a numbers girl she is looking at statistical probability which takes her on a series of unfortunate dates.
Dixie is set to be an influencer after losing her job, in her new found van, Jay has rescued a dog and Renee is a gorgeous character adding a lot of laughs and humour in a very classy manner.
Enjoyable funny and entertaining on cold winter days!
Thanks to NetGalley and Transworld Books for the early read!

This is a fun, light-hearted romcom, just right to escape into. Nora is slightly quirky with a belief in the power of statistics which she decides to apply to finding 'The One'. Backtracking through some of her previous boyfriends, she sets about trying to meet up so that she can see whether love has passed her by. It goes without saying that each meeting leads to plenty of humour and some lively characters.

With a fast pace and such a variety of situations, you are invested along with Nora in her search. There is the hint of a slow burn romance running through the story and by the end, you are willing Nora to find what she is looking for. As with all of Bella Osborne's books, you will enjoy the quick dialogue and amusing situations.

In short: searching for love

This was such a fun, easy read and had some wonderful, heartwarming characters in it. The characters all have such a close friendship and there is lots of fun and laughter between them.

I enjoyed reading about Nora's exes and her quest to discover if one of them was the one she let go too hastily.

The characters are so likeable and each has their own adventures in the book, I loved reading about Dixie's adventures and disasters in her very old campervan.

This was a really well written book and uplifting, giving us the message that sometimes what we need is right beside us, even if we dont realise at first.

If you're a fan of rom com you'll love this book.

A cute and cosy read that I thoroughly enjoyed! I called the ending pretty early on but loved Noras journey of meeting up with her Exes and found some of them proper cringe (but still amusing).

Bruce was a big sweetheart and made me face light up whenever he appeared on the page! Jay was one of my favourites too and he came across as such a sweet and genuine guy!

Funny and heartwarming. But mostly funny.

I really enjoyed this book and honestly, there’s nothing to complain about. A definite 5 star romcom!
It was a fast, easy, and fun read; exactly what my soul needs right now.
Friends-to-lovers trope, very likeable characters, an old campervan, a rescue dog, a crazy squirrel, and strong cocktails... what more could you want?
If you’re looking for a fun book, look no further.
P.S. Bruce and Arnold were my absolute favorites (if you know, you know😉)!

This was a nice read, there was a lot of characters but it was soon explained and you knew who was who, I liked the way each chapter had a couple of characters perspectives, the characters were likable and although I suspected who the main character would end up with, you were left wondering at a couple of points.

I did a a mixture of reading and audio book on this one, the narrator did a good job of making each character sound different.

This was such a fun, light-hearted and cute read that I ended up devouring! It is definitely a book that came at the right time for me as I found myself struggling with life and needing an escape from reality.

I quickly grew to love these characters and loved that it was multi POV as it really helped us get to know our main characters in more depth. Nora is such an interesting character and I loved learning about the 37% rule (when trying to find the best option in a sequence, you reject the first 37% of choices meaning you'll have the highest chance of choosing the best option). I was totally unaware of this rule and I enjoyed the way Nora implemented the rule into dating and even in Dixie's decision for a new career. It definitely brought something new to the book and genre!

Jay was also a fantastic character and thought his chapters were so funny, especially when he adopted Bruce, a rather large powerhouse dog that absolutely gave Jay hell) but I have to admit my all time favourite character was Renee. I would have loved to read from her POV as she was a hoot with an amazing sense of humour and incredibly stories!

Not Quite Done With Dating was an enjoyable, funny and feel-good Rom-Com that I thoroughly enjoyed! I'm excited to read whatever Bella Osborne writes next!

This romcom is a slow-burn story following one woman’s mission to find a boyfriend using a unconventional statistical approach - revisiting all of her exes using the 37 per cent rule, to see whether she may have let “the one” slip through the net. Naturally, this brings a flurry of complications, some may no longer be single, some might think they’re now a dad, or worse still, the very proclivities she dumped them for could still be firmly in place! However, could what Nora is looking for be closer to home? An engaging journey into why Nora’s relationships failed and what she is truly searching for.

I really adored all of the characters and not just the human ones. From Elsie the VW camper van to Bruce the rescue dog and Oliver the lizard, the show was well and truly stolen by the four-legged (and otherwise!) characters. I also loved Renée’s many stories from her previous life and her frequent name-dropping, she felt like the thread holding the group together, the perfect friend and a wonderfully convincing matriarch when needed. I was very pleased indeed with the denouement of her own personal story which felt apt considering the crux of the main story.

All in all, this delivers plenty of laugh out loud moments, some wonderfully drawn out character studies and a modern romance perfect for chasing away the winter blues. I’d happily recommend it to fans of the genre.
