Chambers' slick novels follow young Cockney billionaire, and one-time 'super trader' Jim Evans around the world on audacious crime-busting exploits involving private jets, pretty women and crazed crims fixated on his vast wealth.

The Armageddon Trade is the first in the popular series of adventure-packed crime novels, followed by The Twain Maxim and Kusunagi.

The fourth installment is set for release in November 2012, and is available for pre-order now.

Pitting Evans against a mad scientist with bio-weapons on the verge of unlocking the secret to immortality, and a psychotic lab assistant with a penchant for dismemberment, 'Britain's Most Eligible Bachelor under 30' once again has attracted all manner of evil to his door - or his money has.

Chambers is CEO of stocks and shares site ADVFN. He is a regular face on global news networks (BBC/Sky/CNBC/Fox/Al Jazeera/BNN) appearing as a financial media commentator, whilst he's also penned a series of investment guides, including the Amazon best-sellers 101 Ways To Pick Stock Market Winners and A Beginner's Guide To Value Investing.

An intriguing adventure that takes the reader from London to Tokoyo.
The Japanese Crown Jewels , along with the Kusanagi, a legendary sword, lost for 600 years , are found buried deep in the ocean, by 3 US Navy Seals. Here the adventure begins. Who is destined to have them, the Japanese Royal family, the evil and money hungry, Kim, or Jim, the shrewd stock market whiz.
Add to these characters, a meek Japanese museum curator, and a ingenious US woman Colonel.
There was a lot of suspense plus twists in the plot to keep the reader reading!
I liked the writing style that was fluid and full of vivid descriptions.
I recommend this book to adventure lovers. They will not be disappointed!

A rather fantastic adventure.
Although this is the first of Clem Chambers' books I have read and had no notion of the history of the main characters, it did not detract from the escapism of the story.
Japanese history intertwined with four SEALS find at the bottom of the ocean on a training exercise make for an entertaining read.

Looked an interesting story, but got fed up with it after a while. Got as far as chapter ten (short chapters) and felt the story wasn't progressing too well for my liking.

How has this book had such high ratings? It is awful.

The characters are wooden. The storyline too far fetched. It's badly put together.

I tried hard to finish it but resented the waste of time so only got 3/4 through it.

Very poor.

Another rip roaring Jim Evans' adventure. It is just too much fun to read to put down. I will soon start the next book in the series.
