"She tasted of ash and happiness, destruction and devotion. My world stopped and started again with that kiss. The broken pieces of my heart mended, stronger and better, fixed by my wild girl’s love."

I'm truly and utterly in love with how well written this book/series was. Like I was truly consumed by it. I thought the second the second book in the series would be my favorite but in came this one and it was like a life altering experience. It's the sort of dark romance that will give you suspence, plot twists, action, romance and spice and found family. But at the same time, the dark also gets balanced by lighthearted and tender moments that made me so giddy, it was unreal.

Riordan is such a likable mmc. I didn't have much of an opinion on him but he's pretty much perfect? Like sure he's got issues and occasional moments of fear and avoidant issues but at the same time, he's willing to fight for what he believes is his. And man's both dominant and whipped for his woman.

Cassie is truly a wild boss babe. She's the alpha in this relationship and I absolutely loved it. Like yes queen, claim your man, kidnap him, call the shots. She's such a beautiful contrast because there's such a gentle and soft side to her but at the same time so fierce, protective and possessive 😌

The chemistry and romance between them is so swoon worthy like you could practically feel the sparks fly. These two are perfect for each other and the way they encourage each other to be themselves and balance their ideas of crazy and soft. The spice is chefs kiss again.

I can't wait to read the spin off once it's out. Idk but I'm a Jolie Vines addict now 😩

There's not enough words to describe how much I love this series!!
This book was a perfect conclusion, I had so much fun reading it. I love them so much, your honor.. I have officially found my new obsession..

Cassie, the badass that you are, she's my spirit animal. Not only did she track him, kidnap him, but she killed for him too. She loved Rio unconditionally, she was absolutely feral for him. She is, by far, my favourite FMC in this series, no one does it like her. I loved seeing her find herself, her vulnerability.. Just like Connor will forever be one of my favourite MMCs ever, she will too.. Their special brand of crazy really works for me..
Riordan, how I adored him, he was so love deprived and seeing him being accepted into both of these crazy families did something to my heart. He deserved all that love at last. And the way he loved Cassie for everything she is, was simply amazing!!
They were the cutest couple, I really didn't expect to be kicking my feet and giggling as much as I did, so many damn butterflies!! All the angst, the banter.. Ahhh they were so good together.. And I do love a bike scene, iykyk..
They were so unpredictable, I was really enjoying myself!
Do please check the trigger warnings!!!

Now, the murder mystery part was all over the place, but I'm so glad it wasn't that obvious, I was worried for a second there, not gonna lie. I loved how everything was handled, although I wish the part between the middle and towards the end was a little more fast paced, but I didn't mind it that much.

And now I have to read her brothers books too. I don't really have a choice, I need to know everything there is about them.. Just have to..
Also, why did no one tell me there's going to be a spin-off. I might've cried a little when I read that, which is dramatic as hell, but I am who I am.. I really love this world, so I'll be counting the days until it's out, I need his book badly.
And Dixie and Tyler??? Screaming, crying, throwing up!!

.·:*¨ ¨*:·.

Can't believe it's the last book..
I know it's gonna be fun.. Can't wait for Cassie's and Riordan's story!!

*Twirled my ball hairs* whenever cassie came on page (pun intended) 😝

I already knew this was gonna be so funnn, hotteu and delulu in the best way possible after reading their snippets in the previous book 😚💘

Cassie - our fmc gets hit with a full-blown crush on Riordan, puts a tracker on his bike, lays a fuckin' claim on him, kidnaps him and so on (like u can't tell me, u don't already love her) 🤭💖

She was an inexperienced baddieee and i was so so so here for it !!

‎And Riordan - our mmc needed a person just exactly like her cuz he had been love-deprived his whole life (he literally used to sleep in his truck), they both complimented each other so well 🥹💝

Also the angst, the tension, the banter, the love confessions, the butterflies 💕💗💝💘💖💓💞 so dayyum good. I freakin' loved them mwah

Moreover he was also kinky like all the other mmcs in this series 😌🫦 but not more than Connor 😋

Quotes:

“You drive me fucking crazy, Cassiopeia Archer.”

“Weird way to propose, but I accept.”
“What?”
“Ye know that putting me on the back of your bike is as good as an offer of marriage?”

“I’m too short. I’ll never get my leg over.”
“Then climb on me, little backpack.” I crouched and tapped my shoulder.
Her eyes danced. “Too cute, Rio.”

“I’m utterly, heartbreakingly, happily in love with ye, Rio.”

"You’re so fucking incredible. I’m at your feet, begging you.”
Her happy laugh stopped my words.
“Forgiven. I love ye, remember?”
Until she stopped, I’d never forget.

“I thought your kink was tying me up?”
“My only kink is you.”

"I’m going to marry him.”
Riordan squinted down at me.
“What? Ye put me on the back of your bike. That was a proposal. I consider us engaged.”
Shade hummed. “Agreed. I hear that’s the law.”

“Stop buying me things.”
Her eyes sparkled with mischief. “Never.”

‎Now the plot - well it was great but the problem was that the twists were all at the end, so in the middle i felt like everything has been done .i.e. they've killed the murderer and all that but that wasn't the case ofc 🤡

‎Also Jolie, have mercy on Convict in the next book 🙂

Oh Cassie I was waiting for your book and you did NOT disappoint. What a BAD BITCH YOU ARE 🔥🖤

I liked Cassie since she appeared in Arran’s Obsession. She is wild, reckless, strong, mouthy, impulsive, opinionated, beautiful, sweet and sour , sexy and CRAZY TO ANOTHER LEVEL.
She sees Rio once in the first book and falls utterly in love with him. He doesn’t know. But she starts to show him she’s into him, he tries to make her lose interest because he has a mission and the last thing in his mind is fall in love. She doesn’t accept.
She is so funny, she is the one putting a tracker in his bike, she is the one kidnapping him, she lays her CLAIM on him to all her gangster family 😂 she tells everyone and him that she loves him and he is HERS, the first time he takes her on his bike she says they are now engaged because bikers only take their old ladies on their bikes, mind you he is not a biker. HAHAHAHHA Crime is nothing new to her, her whole family are made of gangsters, Arran is the boss in the Skeleton Gang and she is training with Shade to be a vigilant. She will hunt and kill man in power that abuse, rape and mistreat women and kids. She shouts to everyone that Rio is hers and she’s obsessed with him. Poor Rio is lost in the beginning, he is “part” of the skeleton gang by association because of his 2 sisters, but he is not mean and he is not a killer, he is big strong and beautiful but barely knows how to fight and doesn’t even know how to shoot. Cassie’s brothers and Arran plus Shade have to teach him. In order to make him love her, Cassie makes a deal with him to have 10 days practically glue together and in return she will help him destroy the Mayor who’s Rio’s father but never cared about his existence. And OMG their story is so cool, their romance is so intense and beautiful, she gives Rio a heart attack a day 😂 she’s so crazy. Her pranks on the Mayor ARE THE BEST 😂😂😂😂
She is spicy as fuck. Rio is moody and sexy, dominant and romantic. He is so needy poor baby, he never had anyone loving him, he was never treated as part of a family (besides his sister Gen) he NEEDS her love and he NEEDS her to tell him every time how much she loves him. 😭😫
This story was the best, it’s just not a 5⭐️ because the author got a little lost in the last 20% of the book and it became a clusterfuck. SO MANY THINGS happened at the same time that my mind was trying to play catch up. It was too confusing with the mix of things. I was unnecessary to make this mess, the book was already really good and the characters are really likable. But anyway I will MOST DEFINITELY read the next one and I don’t know if it will be a DIXIE/TYLER story or a CONVICT story with someone else or if it will be a MMF story between TYLER/CONVICT/DIXIE because I kind got some vibe in some dialogue and by some I mean literally one 😂😂😂 but one can dream and I would absolutely LOVE this throuple . Convict really deserves happiness 🖤

I really liked how this book tied up the murder mystery that was ongoing since book 1. The twist was not something I expected. I should have but the murderer was not even on my radar and I think Jolie Vines was making a point with that fact that most people wouldn’t suspect this person (no spoilers or hints 🤣). I loved the FMC being so spontaneous and ready to go at any given moment! The spice was 🥵! I will say out of the three, books 1 and 2 was the spiciest. Book 3 focuses more on the plot twists and resolution for the characters reaching a finality. It also opens up to Jolie Vines next series Skeleton Crew and I’m excited to see Dixie’s story play out in that series!

It's been a long ride

Riordan's revenge brings this series to an end. Still this is definitely one worth reading from book one all the way to book 3 the ending I believe will put a surprise you I'm going to put it this way don't expect people to understand why you love these books so much.
I do agree that there were hints along the way from book 1 all the way to book three and you might be able to figure out who the killer is and you might not honestly I had a thought at the beginning and I was really shocked at the way things ended up being at the very end so there's there's a huge twist there but the very very end is rather comical in its own sense you'll understand when you get there happy reading everyone!

🖤Touch him and d!e
🖤 Викрадення
🖤 Помста
🖤 bad girl & good boy

ARC review

5⭐|4🌶|11% 🌶 frequency

The last book of this trilogy.

Riordan and Cassie are both crazy. Really f*ck!ng crazy. Cassie is an absolute bada$$. I still see her as a small child, but she is an adult now. Just not when it comes to size, she is a gnome 🙈 Sorry, but that's just how it is and it's not me who made her just 5' 😎 But as small as she is, the more bada$$ she is. She is a ☠️ in learning. Yes, SHE not Riordan. He isn't much into all the gang stuff, at least not originally, but with his sister being in a relationship with the boss...

But it's not just that the two are crazy. I have to say Jolie Vines is too 🤣 In a good way of course. I expected a lot, but this? No. There is the murd€r mystery. And sure everyone who reads a mystery tries to solve it. But there is no f-way, at least not for me. I always have my suspicions, and often am right, but this time. There are just so many people and everyone has reasons.

This book has so many plot twists. I got not just even crazier, I got dizzy and got whiplashes (yes, plural 🙈).

I loved seeing all the DIS characters again 🥰 I already missed them so much. And the reactions of them to Riordan are so funny. I mean, you know how big brothers are with their baby sister and the guy who dingle dongles her 🙈 But on the other hand, the four are not a tiny bit prudish and they raised Cassie 😉

It's a dark romance, with a lot of 🔫🔪☠️, you know. But I laughed so much 🤣🙈 Not sure what that says about me. And I'm not sure if I want to know either 😎

And one thing that makes me really happy is, the series will get a new series, YAY 🥳🤩 We will get more of the Skeleton Crew.
If you haven't read the DIS series yet, I recommend reading it first, because otherwise there would be a lot of spoilers in this series. You don't need to, but just saying 😊

So bored! 😭
I guess I went too long between the other two books and this one as I’ve completely lost interest. I know I was originally really interested in Cassie’s story but it’s Riordan who is so damn boring. Like dude she have this hot girl kidnapping you because she’s obsessed with you… why are we 22% in and you’re still resisting?? lol

DNF at 22%.

What an ENDING! This book follows Cassie and Riordan. Cassie is impulsive emphasis on impulsive lol. I LOVE HER. She kidn@ps Rio to protect him because she got a note from the unaliver pretending to be Rio. So she stole some of Shades sedatives and knocked him out 😅. Obviously, Rio wasn't happy with that. Until everything was talked out. He's obsessed with Cassie just as much as she is with him. But he's fighting it BAD. When the spice hits. Holy Moses! The twists at the end of this book made me gasp so loud I woke my husband up 😅. I'm not sorry. I don't know HOW I didn't figure this mystery out. I'm kind of glad I didn't! It made it that much more exciting! Highly recommend this trilogy if you want spice, morally grey mmcs and fmcs, and a murder mystery! Enjoy!

“Cassiopeia’s house of pain. How may I hurt ye today?”

Cassie is probably one of my favorite female main characters EVER! Chapter 1 she drugs and kidnaps the guy she likes. I love her wildness so much! And then she claims him!!! He offers her a ride on her motorbike and she says that’s basically a marriage proposal and calls him her fiance!!

The conclusion of the Body Count Series comes to a dramatic head after Riordan Jones has been kidnapped by the one, the only, Cassie Archer. Cassie had decided she was going to keep him based on their first meeting, and interesting subsequential meeting, regardless of his feelings on it. Meanwhile, the killer of women in Deadwater continues their spree and Cassie, along with the other women in the Skeleton Crew Detective agency, moves through hell and high water to bring them to very messy and final justice.

Easily my favorite of the series. Cassie and Riordan's relationship is everything my sassy, snarky little heart loves. They are the light and dark of each other and Cassie's impulsive, determined nature is the perfect match to Riordan's calm and precise nature. The plot is plotting, and we get the answers we've waiting two other books to know.

This one was hard to get through. I'm still not a fan of the writing, but a lot of the situations were just repeated from the previous books. I kept going cause I wanted to know who the villain was, and when you found out, meh.
For the spice and the masked man kink, stick to the first book.

It's safe to say that these books were a let down. Book one worked because it had a unique MMC, and some good character introduction and suspense (lets be honest, I just really liked Arran) but the remaining two books have had none of the above 😑

From a plot point of view this was a hot mess. The murder investigation and it's eventual reveal (after like 3 fake reveals might I add) fell completely flat. Not only did none of the team of HIGHLY TRAINED AND EXPERIENCED investigators (not talking about you, Cassie) figure out who was behind the murders, but by the time I finally found out who the killer was the plot had gotten so convoluted I just didn't care.🤷‍♀️

The romance was terrible. I really liked Cassie and Riordan in previous books. The reality of them as a couple in their own 500 page book was very different. I hated them together. They were annoying and repetitive and had no chemistry. Cassie was a child constantly throwing her toys around and claiming everything as "mine". It was idiotic and just made me cringe. I liked Riordan at times, but for the most part he was a generic "ugh I can't handle my feelings" man-child. His *revenge* was so melodramatic and ended up going absolutely no where. 😒

I liked the side characters, I liked Riordan's induction into the Skeleton crew, and I thought the pranks and fucking around with the Mayor storyline was very entertaining. I also really liked Tyler and Dixie and it's very apparent the future books will center around them, but chances are I'll hate that too so I think I'm finished with these characters for now. 🤣

Cassie fit in both worlds so well! I was here for her as Riordan didn't do it for me.

Since the start of the series, we knew Cassie was a bit adrift and still looking for her place. It seems her place is beside Riordan, and she didn't really give him a say in that. Good thing he has a bit of a crush on her, too. So, in a compromise, they try to do a modified version of what the game requires - 10 days together. A lot can happen in those days, including discovering who's been murdering women in their town. But as the ten days come to an end, what will they do? And did they really catch the real killer?

Cassie and Riordan get their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.

In all honesty, I think Riordan was too soft to be a part of this crew, and it was Cassie who really should have been inducted. Though she kind of was. I loved how the crew from the Dark Island was pulled in again and to see them all working together to help keep this town safe and accepting that this is where their baby sister belonged. I highly recommend getting the bonus epilogue from the author, which ties up the series quite well!

By far, Cassie and Riordans relationship is my favorite and will forever be burned in my brain. He never called her crazy in a bad way for killing people and literally just wanted her safe. She provided him with a place to call his own with his own bed and a family that (aside from Gen and Everly) he never had. She provided him with father figures in the form of the brothers who raised her. He gave her outlets and they always had each others back including after she kidnapped him 😂 god forbid a women shows a man how she truly feels.

With the murder mystery whodunit wrapped up in an ugly bow because I hated her from the beginning, Monica (the ghoul) showed she was a force to be reckoned with (again, god forbid a woman has a hobby to show a man she loves him).

I wonder if Dixie is Mila in Convicts book which I’m really happy they both survived. I couldn’t take another blow.

A bit disappointing to give this book 3 Stars after the high of reading and loving Connor’s claim. While I love the conclusion of the murder mystery as a whole, the romance between Cassie and Riordan was such a letdown. Riordan as a character is okay but he doesn’t compare with Connor or even Arran for me. And as for Cassie she was just too much and I didn’t find myself connecting with her at all.

I enjoyed other aspects of the book such as Struan and Camden’s appearance (starting Dark Island after this) and Cassie and Connor being stabbing buddies. The little revelation about Connor in the Bonus Epilogue was also a lovely surprise. I need to know what happened with my poor Convict and OMG a book about Dixie and Tyler? Yes please!

Overall, still a nice conclusion to the Body Count series.

Okay im honestly sooooo disappointed in this book. This was my most anticipated book for dec 2024 and it took me till almost mid Jan to finish.
Firstly Riordans character just didnt do it for me. I get not all gang members have the same personality but I expected more hurt and destruction for his character with the title Riordans Revenge. The closing allowed me to understand the title more however my perception of him going in was set high.
The book itself was just too unrealistic for me and most of it had me rolling my eyes. I think I just expected more and it seemed as it was just filled to get to the end to then drop and explanation of the title.
Lets just say im a bit bummed.

***Audiobook Review: 5✨ overall for narration and story.

Honestly the best of the series. I freaking love Cassie's wild, obsessive, and murderous energy and how she claims Rhiordan instead of the other way around; the way he desperately needed her love in more ways than he realized and the way she showed him that love with such fierceness. Spice rating: 4.5🌶️

There were so many crazy twists that even I couldn't predict and a mild blowing revelation at the end. I definitely want to continue with the Skeleton Crew; I NEED to know what happens next with Dixie, Convict (which I am so freaking GLAD he did not get killed off), Tyler, and the rest of the crew.

4 🌶️ (bring holy water and snacks)

I don't know if I want to be HER or be WITH HER.
Riordan’s Revenge is a dark romance masterpiece where Jolie Vines said, "Hey, what if love was sharp, bloody, and hotter than hell?"

We’ve got 👇
❤️ A girlboss killer-in-training with a mani-pedi schedule and a body count.

❤️ A revenge-driven, tattooed biker who looks like every bad decision I want to make twice.

❤️ Mafia wars, masked men, and a murder mystery that will have you side-eyeing every character.

👉 And a finale that ties up the Skeleton Girls Detective Agency storyline while wrecking your soul (in a good way).

If you liked the other books, this third one grabs your face, kisses you, and then throws you off a cliff (but lovingly).

Highly recommend if you like your romance dark, your men dangerous and morally grey, and your heroines absolutely unhinged in the best way.

I think I liked this story the best from this series. Of the three men from this series, I liked Riordan best. And while at times, unbelievable, I also liked Cassie’s character best. While this book concluded the series and the murder mystery at hand, I feel that sometimes the underlying plot was lost on me. I honestly finished the second book and forgot that they were also trying to track a murderer.

Great ending

I love Cassie! She is a tiny ball of fury and not afraid of anything. It was hilarious when she claimed Riodan. Loved the glimpse of Convict and the hope still there. Don't think Dixie was attacked by the same person.
