I have read three previous books by this author, and I recently read Scar, which after reading it, I was hoping to be better. After finishing that book, I was excited to read Brando's story, but once again I was left with wanting more. This book is a quick easy mafia read. It has a basic plot of a mafia man protecting the heroine due to some unforeseen circumstance mixed in with some insta love romance. Except the heroine wants nothing from him until randomly halfway through the book, they get together, which seemed abrupt. I only gave this 3 stars because I just felt something was missing in the book - it was a lot more telling me stuff then showing. I did not feel connected to the characters at all, and I wish the FMC, Mia, showed more of her strength and resilience towards Brando. She kept saying she wanted to do everything on her own, but did not show that in her actions. And Brando kept acting like she was weak when she was raised in the mafia world. Also, the plot holes were too much. She goes to save her sisters and lives with Frank, but then the chapters are from Brando's POV and you have no idea what is happening with Mia and Frank. Then she doesn't find her sisters and just leaves- no way Frank would let her go. And then the story just ends abruptly with certain things not resolved... Overall, it was an okay ready, I just wanted more of a detailed plot and characters with a smooth transition throughout the story. There was too much going on, when it could have been one succinct detailed plot.

Iris has been a favourite of mine and she sure knows how to write a gripping mafia book! Brando is the second book in the Gatti Brothers series and I was hook, link and sinker from the get go ⚓
Mason Ironside calls in a favour owed by Brando, who has three nieces in dire need of protection from the Maltese. Brando doesn't want to get involved, but knows he must pay his dues. Especially when there's potential skintrade on the line, his conscience tells him everything he needs to know.
Mia and her twin sisters, Sophia and Maxine are currently holed up in a safe house. When they sneakily leave the house whilst without Mia's acknowledgement, Mason and Brando make it their mission to find them. Someone has taken the twins, and it becomes a race to find them before time runs out.
Omg, this book literally had me sitting on the edge of my chair! Full of twists and turns, I never knew how the story would literally end.
I adored Mia and Brando's second chance romance, having had that connection from a young age but circumstances pulling them apart. They never really got over each other and when they reconnected it was like no time had passed at all! They were such the perfect pair and definitely a force to be reckoned with!
I honestly can't wait for more in the series... Maybe the next book from Lucky?? 🤭.

This is the second book in the Gatti Brothers series. Mia is a tough heroine that will do what has to be done to protect those she loves. Brando is a rough around the edge who only shows kindness to his brothers, sister-in-law, and Mia. She's the one he left physically but never mentally. When she and her sisters are in danger, Brando is asked to protect them.
We find out more of the past. Mysteries are explained. Whys come to light. Mad men are brought in to be the villain. Sadness and loss tags along with a melancholy happy ending. The reason I hedged on the five stars is Brando. We got to know and understand Mia quite well, but Brando remained closed off. While we were told he loved Mia, we didn't quite feel he opened himself completely. The reader knows he loves his sister-in-law because we've seen it and felt it. With Mia it seemed there was still a bit closed off. The one thing I felt was confusing is with this being the second book the secondary characters should be somewhat known. In this one, there was a completely new set, so it became a bit confusing of who was who. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I really liked this one, I think it was a tad better than Scar for me.
I really like the story behind how Brando and Mia originally met. Granted I didn't over like when Mia was 15 and her involvement with Frank but the more you get into that part of the story the more you hate Frank and start rooting for Mia and Brando to get together.
I loved that Mia would do anything for her sisters just like Brando would do for his brothers. I also like the little with with who Uncle Mason actually was to Mia and the twins.
I have to say that I do love that with Iris's book you do get a lot more plot and a lot less sex. Not that I have anything against those scenes in books but they sometimes can take away from the story but with these ones, yeah might get the odd mention of it but it's not page upon page of it.
My only complaint is that we didn't get the closer on both twins. Now their is at least another book so the story might cross over into that but it would have been nice if it had been wrapped up in this one.

I’ve been patiently waiting for Brando and let me tell you I was not disappointed. He is more of the silent brooding brother who carries a lot of weight on his shoulders. Mia is 25 and does everything she can to provide and protect her younger twin sisters after their dad is murdered. Of course they don’t listen because at 19 they think they know everything. When the twins go missing Mia reaches out to her uncle who then reaches out to Brando. Turns out Mia and Brando knew each other when they were kids and drifted away in high school. They have to figure out their past and focus on the present in order to help Mia track down her missing sisters. Don’t under estimate Mia though she’s a badass who knows how to use a gun and can fight. I was not expecting the ending at all. I can’t wait to continue this series with Lucky!

BRANDO is beautifully written, well balanced with action and romance. This book has a captivating plot, wonderful characters, and a breathtaking final outcome for the main characters. I immediately fell in love with Brando and Mia, their story was quite entertaining and enjoyable to read. Author Iris T Cannon has done another fantastic work with creating this breathtaking mafia romance. The characters are well developed and beautifully executed throughout the book. Also, BRANDO is quite suspenseful and a page turning mafia romance. BRANDO is definitely a book that I would give as a recommendation for anyone who enjoys reading mafia romances. I’m looking forward to reading more amazing romances from this author in the future.

Wow! I love a good mafia romance and Iris T. Cannon does not disappoint in this second book of the Gatti Brothers series, Brando. I was very excited to start reading this book. I already knew I liked her style of writing. Ms. Cannon is excellent in her characters and their personalities. The plot was well thought out and unfolded smoothly.
Brando is his brother Godfather Scar Gatti's right hand man. When Mia, an old friend of is needs his help you realize just how much people have come to depend on him. Like I already said I like a good mafia romance and I loved Brando. I cannot wait till the third Gatti brother book comes out.

I was astounded reading this book I couldn't get enough of this book, the story was written well and with depth, the characters were sensational. There were so many mafia family names all with the twist on the end. Someone is out for revenge and they took Mia and her sister's after they killed their father, now they are blackmail. Brando Gattis was in love with Mia when they were younger and then she left him for Frank Falcone’s Brando was fighting everything to get Mia and her sister's back and kill the person that kidnapped them, with Brando he's like royalty, and when the Lucianis went to see Brando what they know and they will join forces, but will the girls survive.

I loved Brando.. and sometimes was really ann-oyed over Mia!!! Like listen to him, girl!!!!! I liked how both of them were so protective of their siblings that they were ready to do whatever for them!!!!! Both of them got a second chance in love and they grabbed it with both hands!!! Loved the plot!!! Still some questions remain about the other sister!!! And that enfo-rcer???? Wow!!!! Who is that??? Will he get a book?? Is he a book bf material???? So many questions and I want all the answers!!!!! As usual, Sc-ar is having a lot on his plate!! Taking care of Allegra, Scarlet, n also keeping his brothers in cont-rol!!! Ahhaahah!!! Their bond is so so cool!!!! Now it's time for my fav brother, Lucky!!!!! Yay!!!

Iris T. Cannon did it again with book 2 in this dark Mafia series. This is the second brother Brando Gatti's story and it's a second-chance romance. I was hooked once again from beginning to end. This plot was full of action, delicious tension, and steam. This can be read as a standalone but the characters overlap through the series so I'm glad I read the first book.
The tension, the heartache, and the longing between Brando and Mia were so good. The burn was slow but good buildup. He is a man obsessed and I was there for it.

This is the second in the series, and a really enjoyable read. Brando is a cold, quiet confident man. But when he finds Mia, and he realises exactly what trouble she's in. He literally goes mad trying to find her. Mia is such a strong character, and actually really impressive and more than a match for Brando.
Can't wait for much more of this series...

I was looking forward to this book after reading the 1st one in the series Scar's. I loved all the brothers in the first book. Mia and Brando's 2nd chance story was a nice little twist on the normal mafia story. I was curious to see what would happen and how they would overcome their past. Great story. Looking forward to read the next one in the series. I received an ARC of this book which in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions of it.

This is Gatti Brothers: Book 2.
I loved this book. The storyline kept me intrigued and glued to the pages with the twists and turns. This book will definitely put you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions.
The characters were fabulously written, the steam level was hot enough to make you blush. I will definitely be checking out the rest of this series.

Brando is the second book in the amazing Gatti Brothers series. It grabbed me and pulled me in right away. It’s a wonderful second chance, mafia romance. It’s full of drama, violence, non-stop action and spice. The characters were well developed and the plot was very entertaining. Brando and Mia are great together. This is an excellent addition to the series.

❤️❤️❤️ good book but a bit gloomy for my taste. I understand Brando's pain and his suffering but he was a bit dull sometimes. As for Mia... I didn't really feel the connection... But I did finish that book though 😉 which means it is worth reading. I liked Scar's book better. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

I had read Scar previously and very much enjoyed that book, this book follows Brando, Scar’s brother and his relationship with Mia. A relationship with plenty of twists , turns and missteps . Another very enjoyable read from this author.

Brando and Mia have something in common, family is everything to them. When Mia has an issue with her twin sisters, Mia reaches out for help. Brando and Mia have a history.
I loved reading this book because of the suspense that draws me in and made reading this book extra exciting.

Finished Scar and was so excited for Brando!! Brando gets pulled into a situation he wasn’t expecting and he came face to face with the past. He always had feelings for Mia that never went away. The turmoil between them got hard to read.

This was part two of this series and I thought it was even better then part 1! I liked the characters and the setting and the plot was very intriguing with lots of steam.
