Jack McCarthy was a spoken-word poet legend and he prepared this book as he was dying so it would be published shortly after he passed in 2013. He is the author of eight books of published poetry including Almost A Remembrance, Good Night Grace Notes and What I Saw.
The book includes his well-known poem Drunks and reflections in both poetry and prose about his experiences with being a long-time very active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for fifty years.
If you aren't both amused, and deeply-moved by the poems, stories, and essays in this book, then it's probably not possible that any book will succeed in doing that for you.
You will come to an authentic understanding of addiction, the A.A. program and a Jack's healthier addiction to words and poetry through this book.
