A stranger from the snow. A warning from the future. A mother’s fight to rewrite it all.
For Kelly McCormick, trying to balance single motherhood and a never-ending to-do list, is a constant battle. Every time she seems to inch ahead, some new emergency jumps up to knock her back. But she’s making it work . . . most of the time.
Less than a week before Christmas, she’s setting out to pack up the cabin of her closest friend with her two teenage sons in tow. Although it’s not a vacation, Kelly is hoping that maybe they’ll have one more magical memory there before the cabin is sold.
But with one son making it clear he doesn’t want to be there and Kelly feeling guilty about all she can’t do for both of them, that’s looking increasingly unlikely.
And that was before they found the man unconscious in the snow.
Events shift from difficult to downright life threatening in short order. This strange man has a world of trouble on his heels, trouble that comes with gunfire.
A simple good deed has turned deadly. But soon Kelly realizes that there is so much more to this stranger’s story, hundreds of years more.
Kelly is not a superhero. She is not a spy. She’s just a normal mom caught up in something extraordinary.
Right now, though, she needs to be extraordinary too. Because if the future this man has laid out is accurate, it’s a complete nightmare.

To be or not to be. That is a phrase in Hamlet by William Shakespeare that came up in my mind when reading Operation Kringle by RD Brady. Hamlet might have puzzled on the nature of life but when the world proved to be in dire straights 200 years hence when a time traveler's road crossed that of Kylide McCormack and her two sons, I certainly involuntarily started puzzling the aptness of this phrase too. The future, though advanced, also in dire straights? Really? Operation Kringle is a rather suspenseful thriller that kicks off when Kylie discovers an attractive but unconscious male in a snow patch and tried to save his life. That action had severe results when thugs subsequently indiscriminately fired on the hut they stayed in intending Nick's prompt demise. They narrowly escaped. And life became volatile for her, the kids and Nick. Operation Kringle is quite a tome consisting over a hundred chapters with lots of action and suspense and surprises. And sooo immersive! Even when idly wondering about applying the phrase "to be or not to be" Enjoy!
I normally read romance novels but after reading the description of OPERATION KRINGLE I was intrigued. I do enjoy an occasional time travel novel and I was looking for Christmas based stories so I found this book too interesting to pass up. I loved every minute of reading this book because it had everything but romance! We have a single mom raising her twin boys, a mysterious man in need of help, an adorable smart dog, and a mystery to be solved to save the future. I know that I’ll be reading this book again in the future and I also need to check out other novels by R.D. Brady!
I just finished Reading Operation Kringle, for the second time. I first read it shortly after publishing. I don't know where RD Brady gets the inspirations g for her books, but I hope she continues to get them. Her ability to braid facts and history into a cohesive story totally grab my attention every time. To enjoy a good read and well developed characters, I highly recommend this book.
No matter what I'm currently reading, if an RD Brady novel comes out I will stop what I'm reading and read her newest book first. I have, to date, read ALL of her novels and never been disappointed. Operation Kringle is an amazing example of her unique creativity and intrigue . Thank you so much for again sharing your excellent talent !
Reading the description for this book I was intrigued and skeptical but it all came together so well. The main character is perfect and the adventure along the way with the theories and facts (along with the Christmas element) was the perfect didn’t know I needed. Love and highly recommend
Overall I enjoyed the idea behind the story. But I felt some of the portions of the story were rushed. For example when Nick just blurted out he was a time travler. Or when Charlie first met Kelly, he seemed less interested about the shooting at the cabin then talking about his time travling theory.

An action packed thriller that does not disappoint. The lists are real. Santa has done all he could. We just need to remember that how and faith in each other is small gesture that can make ripples thru the lives of others. Need an exciting Christmas thriller, you got it right here.
Fiction / Christmas / SYFY / Thriller ⭐⭐⭐ /5 That was CRAZY!!! That is all I have to explain what I just read. I hated the FMC!! She got on every single one of my nerves. Making the rest fell short for me. That ending?! What? No.
A nice twist on Santa Claus! Very well written and nicely paced as always. The characters are well developed. Nice story, Thank you for a Christmas story as only RD Brady could deliver.
Although the action takes place at and around Christmas, the novel is completed and detailed enough to stand well at any time of the year. I read it in June and lost nothing because of the time of year I read it. A good read at any time.
I did really enjoy this time travel thriller! It is always a pleasure to read this writers work. A well thought out plot, interesting ideas, very well written, a real adventure to disappear into! I do recommend!
R D Brady delivers again. This was a great plot with good character development and all those little bits of history that Brady keeps giving us. Well worth the read.
