In the sizzling sequel to the much-loved Shower, the tension between Justin, Tommy, Jake, and Marcus begins to rise. What started as fleeting glances, shared experimentation, and unspoken desires has evolved into something far more intense—and far more adventurous. With emotions running high and boundaries constantly shifting, Justin is pulled deeper into an erotic web of secrets, temptation, and uncertain loyalties. As feelings grow stronger and trust becomes fragile, the risk of things spiraling out of control looms ever closer. In this steamy follow-up, Justin must navigate the fine line between friendship, lust, and passion, knowing that one wrong move could change everything.
This novella contains mature themes and includes acts of a sexual nature between two or more men.
I kept going with the series since they are so fast to read. This novella is only 52 pages. MM Romance. Things start heating up in the door room with the 4 swimmers. One is secretly gay and they start watching a “movie” together. Read the book to find out what happens. Now all four go to the showers together. Things are definitely wild and a little naughty.
I can’t speak for every gay. In the story two college guys find each other. For me it was 35 years of denial. The story was very refreshing and real. It takes some people (me) a long time to realize their true identity. Glad af least in the story they realized while they were still young and had so much to offer eachother for a possible life time.
I loved this novella. It is so sweet and funny with the male posturing. Confident, sassy, outspoken, and then melt-your-heart sweetness was Tommy. I liked how Justin may have had fantasies, but then that is what they are- fantasies. I wanted the story to continue, but it ended just right.
This is a remarkable sequel to Shower. It's psychologically well written. It's A slow unravelling walls and honesty. The two main characters are taking clues from each other and delight in their developing perspective and relationship
“I feel like you’ve broken my brain. To be completely honest, you’re all I can think about.”
Back at college with The Leftovers: Justin, Tommy, Jake, and Marcus.
Justin is still struggling with being (mostly) closeted. He continues to get closer (and closer) with Tommy; the other guys largely fade into the background in this installment.
“You don’t want to share me with anyone else.”
Morning swim. Skinnydipping in the campus pool.
Pranks and video games.
Male bonding and curiosity.
High sexual tension.
Strong Male Gaze read throughout. From verbiage to circumcision status, it’s very authentically gay.
Justin’s inner thoughts truly shine. His vacillation is hyper-real.
Training sessions.
The Confession Time, especially over breakfast at the diner…just the two of them…so well done. 🤩
“I’m not gonna do anything else with the other guys…I wanna see where this goes with us. If you want that.” “I want that.”
And that ending. 😍
Hot—with the feels, too.
Tommy looked over at Justin and smiled.
Justin smiled back. And in that moment, he knew that everything had changed. This was the beginning of something new, something neither of them had expected but both desperately needed.
A great story that any of us who are gay understand, the fear, the tension, and the final understanding of being able to be who we are. The wonderful way that the story reads and finally comes together, a story that is like any romantic story, emotions and all. Two people who finally know they are real and very much in love with life. Great story of the way life goes from being afraid to relaxing and present for all life has to offer.
I don't want to spoil the experience of reading this short tale, so suffice to say that it was a pleasure to read about 2 members of the "Shower Club" who come to realize that there's more to life, to THEIR lives, than a "sesh" with their bros in the shower. Looking forward to more about Justin and Tommy in future books... maybe with the heat turned up a bit higher. We can handle that.
This little story was written very well. Any time you have characters like these two it's difficult to come to terms with their situation. The book is much to short and could have been made into a real good book with an author who writes this good he missed his chance at a novel that could have been great. Because this was so short I felt I got cheated. It was still fun to read.
