Holidays are supposed to be a time for family, but for widower Danny Lang, they've lost their shine. The same can be said of pop singer Stacy Brecker, whose failing marriage leads to her spending Christmas Eve alone.
When Danny and Stacy unexpectedly bump into each other, reliving their glory days proves to be the heartwarming jolt the former lovers desperately need. Before long, they agree to one last drive through the annual Festival of Silver Lights, for old times' sake.
Surrounded by a menagerie of illuminated Christmas icons, will Danny and Stacy remain content having achieved closure long overdue, or will the magic of the season open new doors and spark new beginnings?

Cutesy spicy winter novella just in time for winter! ❄️ I was able to finish this book in one sitting. Quick, easy read with light spice. I love Danny and Stacey’s dynamic. Spice: 🌶️🌶️
The book was definitely a quick read. I felt it was a bit rushed as a whole. Things happened very quickly with little character building or build up for the relationship/interaction between Danny and Stacy. The spicy scene happened pretty quickly between the two, where they got right to the point, no fore play so to speak. The only build up towards something about to happen, seemed to be Danny's interaction with his daughter about making spice cake, which in turn had him run in to his ex Stacy while getting the ingredients. Overall not a bad read, just to rushed for me.
“Silver Lights” is a sweet Christmas time novella. It is built around two main characters that used to be in love many, many years ago. One Christmas Eve, these lovers find each other again and each give the other a gift that was desperately needed. I love how the characters came together just at the right time in their life’s journey. I do wish the epilogue may have been a bit longer to include how the following Christmas turned out.
This was not for me. The older FMC Stacy reminded me of stifflers mom…. No thanks. And to make political comments? That’s not what I want in a book. It’s literally an old fling hook up over Christmas. The ending was terrible and flat. It literally took me 30-40 minutes to read so it is quick. But please read the synopsis before.
The story was heartwarming and perfect for the holiday season, with a magical reunion between Danny and Stacy. It’s a quick read that pulls you in right away.
My only downside was that it felt too short, and the cliffhanger ending left me wanting more with no sequel in sight. Still, it’s a lovely read that I’d recommend for a cozy holiday evening.
Want a quick spicy holiday read this is it! I was able to finish this book in one sitting. Sadness turned into a long lost flame returning. The characters are relatable. Lots of cute holiday banter.
A short holiday novella that’s a quick read. This romance has a sprinkle of spice and a dash of messy. It’s a great read for romance readers during the holidays.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was the cutest spicy novella which is the perfect for winter time. i finish this in one setting as it was quick read that comes with some light spice... I adore Danny and Stacey
Brian has done it again. Silver Lights his short Christmas romance is beyond amazing. I love even though it is a short romance it still feels like the whole story was told and it was just so good. The characters were well written and relatable. I love the interaction between Stacy and Danny. Danny was still hurting over his ex being gone and what happened to his daughter. Stacy is famous and recently separated from her husband when she sees Danny again, they have an unbelievable night together. They had history together, read and dive into Stacy & Danny’s story you won’t be disappointed.
This is a very short story. Perfect read to read during a break. I was able to read this in about 40 minutes or so. What a cute and quick way to get you into the holiday spirit. This does have a little bit of spice. I love how everything was quick and to the point, but I do wish it had been a little longer. I absolutely loved the puns in this book. I recommend giving this a read! What do you have to lose? It's a short book, so you won't feel like it was a waste of time.
If you ever had hope of rekindling a lost love this read is for you. When your ex becomes a famous singer and you decide to stay in your home town, you'd probably never s that you'd reconnect. That's exactly what happens for these 2. Not only did they get to rekindle old flames but they kindle something else when they take a ride through the Silver lights Christmas display. I personally had a little lol moment with this one. A great seasonal read to put you in the holiday spirit.
I loved this short Holiday Romance. Danny Lang runs into his old flame, Stacy Brecker, while shopping. They start talking and decide to go for a ride. Sparks fly and they get into some trouble. The spicy kind of trouble. This was so cute. This is loosely based on the song Auld Lang Syne. And the play on words in is adorable. Danny Lang owns a sign company. Love it. I definately recommend you take a break for an afternoon and enjoy Silver Lights.
Such a fun Holiday short story! Danny and Stacy find themselves running into each other years later during the holidays. They find themselves wanting to continue where they left off. I loved all the Christmas lines that Scala snuck in there. If you need a good spicy holiday read, I highly recommend this one!
Short Christmas story. Has mentions of family loss(not too harsh, pretty light and to the point) , has some second chances between 2 old lovebirds and tons of laughter! My own laughs I should say with all the holiday puns haha it was a nice short read and I enjoyed it. Wouldn’t mind seeing what next Christmas is like for everyone 👀
Holiday puns, anyone? This book by Brian Scala packs a lot of Christmas joy, holiday *spice* and a whole lot of heart into a quick read. Scala delivers excellent character development especially for being a short story. If you like romance and holiday cheer - this book is the red bow for the top of your tree.
This super short holiday read is packed with a second chance at love. I love Danny and Stacy’s dynamic and it was a perfect holiday palate cleanser with a touch of spice. This read was gave a happily ever after that is perfect with plenty of room to open up for more if we want to see the characters again.
Cute holiday novella! I love the dynamic of Danny and Stacey when they bump into each other and take a trip down memory lane. The puns were my favorite and had me giggling. Quick and easy read! I highly enjoyed!
I had a lot of fun reading this spicy short story by Brian Scala. I really liked both of the main characters and how they came (wink) together to make themselves their own happy ending.
This is a fun, pun-filled holiday short story about two old lovers who reignited their spark for Christmas. It's loaded with Brian Scala's unique sense of humor and a dash of spice. A short, quirky read for the season. 🙂
I really enjoyed this sweet novella! Two past loves run into each other at the store late one Christmas Eve, and they rekindle more than just their spark.
