Are you ready to meet the Heart City Billionaires? When Lex’s one-night stand turns out to be Heart City’s most eligible bachelor billionaire, Caleb Heart, she’s caught between following her plans and listening to her heart.
After finishing her studies and getting ready to move into the next phase of her life, the last thing Lex expected was to literally fall into the arms of the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen. After one passionate night together and a fortuitous encounter on a dancefloor, she can’t get Caleb out of her head, wondering if she’ll ever see her handsome stranger again.
After being burned in the past, Caleb avoids relationships, content with meaningless one-night stands and expanding his family’s legacy. But meeting Lex turns his world upside down. Never before has he been so enthralled by a woman, felt the desperate need to be near her, to hold her and never let her go.
Unrelenting feelings, personal obligations, and a twist they never saw coming have Caleb and Lex questioning the right time to stay on your chosen path, or let love guide you.
Untethered Heart is a contemporary romance set in a fictional Australian city. It has everything you billionaire romance, one-night stand to forever, age gap, reformed playboy who falls first and hard, strong female friendships, and no third-act breakup. Pick it up for the tropes, stay for the heartfelt, spicy, all-consuming romance between Lex and Caleb!
When I dove into Trusting The Fall and caught glimpses of Caleb and Lex, I instantly knew I wanted to read their story! The way Caleb meets Lex in a bar is electric, and the attraction between them is undeniable. They share a one-night stand, but then Caleb leaves without a word. However, he can’t stop thinking about Lex, and it’s clear he wants more. But Lex, who has her own uncertainties, is a bit hesitant, and it's up to Caleb to convince her.
Lex is such a relatable character! She’s sweet, kind, and smart, but she also struggles with her insecurities. Being the center of attention isn’t her thing, and she often feels overlooked and left behind. So when Caleb comes back for a second chance, it’s understandable why she’s cautious, especially knowing he’s a notorious playboy billionaire. Caleb is a billionaire with commitment issues due to a tough past relationship; he’s used to casual flings and working hard for his family’s company. But everything changes after that one night with Lex. The more he tries to resist her, the more he realizes he can’t stop thinking about her.
I loved his determination to win her heart! He’s so honest with her and goes above and beyond to prove he can be trusted. Their chemistry? Off the charts right from the start! I especially appreciated how they communicate openly with each other, avoiding any unnecessary misunderstandings. The friendship between Lex and Claire is adorable, too, not to mention Lex’s relationship with her brother. And let me just say, the things Caleb does for Lex are swoon-worthy! It’s heartwarming to see how crazy he is for her—it made me feel all giddy!
Oh the privilege to be able to have Beta & ARC read for Emme Goode. One of Emme’s many incredible talents is being able to write her novels over the course of the same time/events but from each characters’ perspectives. Although readers who may have read Trusting the Fall prior to Untethered Heart have an idea what events may occur, Emme writes in such a captivating, and intriguing way, while still maintaining an element of surprise! 😍 & Lex & Caleb’s story was just that!!! Having met them in Trusting the Fall, I was so excited to see where their story would lead as hints were dropped here and there and Emme did not disappoint!!
Oh a Siren and her Sailor/Honey 🥹 Caleb and Lex’s story was fun, flirtatious and incredibly sweet/swoon-worthy! There are so many beautiful moments where I found myself laughing, especially the interactions between those damn Heart siblings who literally have my heart 😂😍 The spice was also definitely spicing and I love the sweet moments in between leading up to those heated intimate moments! 🥵🔥
Can we also mention all the damn teases for Gage’s book?!!! These teases were so perfect and honestly just the right amount to intrigue readers and keep them guessing what’s to come 🤭 without removing the focus on Caleb & Lex’s story. I’ve loved learning even more about other secondary characters as well such as Dylan!
Emme has done it again with a sweet, swoony and spicy love story between two incredibly loving characters, and a family you’ll just wish to be a part of 🩷
Thank you Emme for the privilege to be a part of the BETA & ARC team🩷
Trope - boss × client, billionaire romance, ONS, he falls first, reformed playboy, obsessed MMC, sunshine couple, age gap (11 years), small town FMC, strangers to friends to lovers, slightly hidden identity, insta attraction, kinky, forced proximity, no third-act break-up, romcom, found family, workplace Bonus chapter - 1
Firstly, I want to thank Emme for the ARC. You have done it again!! Because this was beautiful. I knew this book was going to be one of my favourites when I was first introduced to the couple in Trusting the Fall. After falling for Leif and Claire, I knew I wanted to read more by this author. So, I applied for the ARC the day it was released and I'm so glad I did because this was FABULOUS!!
PS - I’ve tried to mention things that are already out there, regardless, beware people, this review will make you want to read this book.
Caleb is the eldest Heart sibling, with an alpha vibe but also a sweet, playful personality. I initially thought he would be a ruthless billionaire who doesn't care about his staff, but he surprised me from the start. He was kind, considerate, but also passionate.
Caleb usually avoids going out to protect himself from unwanted attention, but he's at his brother's bar for some business when he "bumps" into Lex, the shy redhead. She captures his attention and also secures a place in his heart.
After one night together, Caleb does what he usually does—leaves the girl before they can ask for anything more. But Lex is different; he craves more with her. Their first time felt like two soulmates meeting after ages to complete their life's purpose.
I love books where the MMC is a playboy who doesn't want to settle down, but upon seeing the FMC, he can't help but imagine a life with her. It's a bonus when the FMC is hesitant to commit, fearing she’s just another notch on his bedpost. However, the “commitment-phobic” MMC shows her just how untrue that belief is.
Caleb, our man, was obsessed from the very beginning. His words, actions, and efforts proved how gone he was for his Siren. But do you know what made him even more attractive? His glasses and the way he changed his wardrobe to match her hair colour. My heart was not ready, this guy owned my heart. Lex was sweet and soft, and I couldn't have imagined a better partner for Caleb.
The romance was a chef's kiss—the yearning, the desire, the chemistry, the dedication. Everything was just perfect. I fell a little harder each time they worked together to resolve things.
If you know me, you know how much I value communication between a couple. These two not only did that but also understood each other's thoughts. They knew what they wanted and worked to make it their reality—no drama, just genuine effort.
The spice was SPICING because why was each chapter hotter than the previous one?? And you bet your ass I took a long walk after that yoga scene—Because OMFGG!! CALEB knew how to get things done.
Side characters - 1. Claire brought her vibrant personality to every scene she was in, adding excitement and energy. She was such a good friend, loved her and Lex's bond, and I must also thank her for bringing these two together. 2. Gage, our German Shepherd Heart sibling. He was grumpy most of the time, but when he was with "her", he was different. I was swooning over him. I screamed the loudest when I realised who he would end up with. I can't wait to read his story and see our grump become soft for his sunshine queen. 3. The sibling banter was hilarious and adorable. Mase was a golden retriever, while Beth was a wild black cat. 4. Dylan was such a sweet and caring brother. I loved his bond with Lex. You could feel their sibling connection through the words. 5. Other side characters, from Lee to Riley to Isabelle to everyone in the Heart family, were lovely. Grandma Heart was truly a Queen, and I almost wished we had a book about her and Grandpa's story. _____________________________________________
This was a perfect mix of romance and humour because a few scenes made me laugh so hard.
I think I annotated the hell out of this book—why was each line and thought better than the last?!? The epilogue couldn't have been more beautiful. Oh, my heart was at peace. The spicy bonus chapter? HOT. Caleb and Lex's story felt like a fairytale, and I never wanted it to end.
OH, DEVOURED THIS ONE. Highly recommended. Overall 5/5
Untethered Heart is another fantastic addition from Emme Goode—fun, flirty, and full of swoon-worthy moments!
This book hits all the right tropes: a one-night stand turned into mutual pining, a reformed playboy utterly obsessed with his girl, with a billionaire MMC and some workplace romance vibes thrown in for good measure!
Lex is the shy, genuinely kind FMC you’ll immediately want to be friends with. Caleb is the definition of yearning and swoon-worthy. The chemistry is electric, the yearning is delicious, and the emotional growth between them lands perfectly.
I especially loved the glimpse into the Heart family dynamics; warm loving, and with just enough hilarious shenanigans to keep things interesting. The overlapping timeline with Trusting the Fall was also woven in seamlessly and gave us a nostalgic peek into a past favorite without ever distracting from the story; this was so well done!
This was a satisfying read with just the right amount of swoon, spice and heart with characters you’ll root for and tension you’ll feel in your bones! I’m already counting down the days until we get Gage and Isabelle’s story!
Thank you so much to Emme Goode for the ARC! All opinions are my own.
Honestly, I don’t have much to say about Untethered Heart. I enjoyed Caleb and Lex’s story. We met them in Trusting the Fall, where their story starts with a one-night stand. I liked that we got to see that night from their perspective and how their story developed after that.
Emme Goode’s writing continues to impress me and I’m really looking forward to Gage’s story.
Thank you, Emme, for giving me the opportunity to read Caleb and Lex’s story in advance.
I honestly don’t even know how to write this without sounding biased, but I can’t help it. I met Emme through social media, thinking she was just another bookish girl like me… and then—boom!—her debut novel was on the way. I read her first book and thought, “Okay, this is a cheff kiss,” but this second one? This second one is NEXT. LEVEL.
I just finished it. Literally minutes ago. I started reading at 3 p.m., and now it’s 11 p.m. I didn’t stop. Not for a second.
Yes, it’s spicy. Yes, the male lead was a playboy. But Emme gives us the context, the backstory, the why. And when he meets her... everything shifts. There’s an 11-year age gap (she’s 23, he’s 34), and the way Emme handled it was mature, smooth, and incredibly well done.
But what I loved most? The relationship development. There’s no “insta-love,” no sudden “be my wife” moment at 80%. We actually see them fall in love. Slowly. Fully. With tension, depth, and real-life obstacles. And the chemistry? Off. The. Charts.
I also loved how the business storyline (he’s the investor behind the distillery project she and her brother are building) didn’t feel like a side plot—it mattered. It added weight and richness.
And those epilogues… God. Two of them. And the second one? Had me in tears. I mean, really crying.
Emme, I saw what you did there. I saw the setup for the next book and now I NEED it. Thank you for writing such a beautiful, emotional, layered story.
This was a fun book that I read in one day 😍 Lex & Caleb hit it off after a one night stand. Then they come to realize they’re now boss x client when their family businesses work together. Their attraction and chemistry couldn’t keep them away from each other 😮💨
Caleb was down bad from day one. He went from playboy to obsessed with one woman only. I was so here for it.
I loved getting glimpses of Leif & Clair. And the subtle hints of what’s to come with Gage has me feral for his book 👏
“And, who’s he calling Siren? Surely not me, the nervous sputtering mess of a girl. Aren’t sirens beautiful creatures that lured sailors to their deaths with their hypnotising sexual allure or something? That is not me.”
“This guy is all sex appeal and confidence, and I’m sure he’s a fair bit older than me. I appreciate the comparison, though. I love the ocean. I’ve been dying my hair bright red, like my favourite mermaid, since I was sixteen.”
“She was made to disarm unsuspecting men like me. Looking timid and sexy all at once. And that bright red hair.”
“I’ve never had this before, Lex. This desire for someone. I need you like I need air. Not just your body. I need your words, your attention. I need you.”
I love Caleb and Lex!!! This book was so so good! From the moment Caleb and Alex meet they are drawn together like magnets. They have a one night stand and then find out that they are business associates. They try to keep it professional but their love was destined to win out, and that’s exactly what happens when they give in, and instead of fighting the attraction for each other they enjoy it. Caleb gives Lex the confidence she didn’t have, and Lex gives Caleb the love and life he never thought was in his future. We also get to meet the Hart family and siblings in this one. And Claire and Leif from Emme’s previous book. This series is going to be so fun to follow along with, and I can’t wait!!
Tropes: Billionaire x Bartender One Night Stand Age Gap Reformed Playboy Boss x Client
Some characters just feel familiar the moment you meet them — and for me, that was Lex. She’s the kind of person who’s warm and personable, but perfectly comfortable fading into the background. Watching her step out of her routine, take a risk, and then get hurt in the aftermath of a one-night stand… it hit me harder than I expected. That moment when she said, “As much as I’m used to being left behind, it still stung,” felt like it was written for every person who’s ever been brave enough to hope for more, only to be disappointed. So relatable.
Her friendship with Claire was a highlight — loyal, honest, and the perfect blend of supportive and pushy in the best way. Their bond felt like a safe place for Lex to land when her world tilted. She was the kind of best friend everyone deserves and I’m looking forward to reading her story at some point.
After their one night stand Lex and Caleb’s emotional connection was palpable—especially in their inner monologues. There was true yearning between them both.
I didn’t expect Caleb to assume the worst when he found out it was his company investing in Lex and her brother’s business — but knowing his past, it made sense. Still, it stung. Especially since Lex had only just learned who he really was days before. But what stood out wasn’t the mistake — it was what he did after. He started showing up at the bar where Lex worked, night after night. Not to push, not to pressure — just to see her. To be near her. To get to know her for real. That quiet persistence said everything about how serious he was. He wasn’t just chasing a connection — he was choosing her.
And when he committed? He didn’t hesitate. He wore her ring on a chain around his neck. Blocked every old hookup. Cleared out his DMs. Told his siblings about her like she was already part of the family. And when one of those exes tried to stir up drama at a fundraiser, his entire family shut it down without blinking — because Lex wasn’t just someone he was dating. She was it for him.
Lex’s backstory gave the book real emotional depth — her grief over her dad, the abandonment from her mother, and the way the ocean became her safe place whenever her feelings got too heavy. There was something so raw and human about her. Her fears of being left behind again. She felt so human — vulnerable, emotionally intelligent, and stronger than she gave herself credit for. You just wanted the world for her.
This story was low-angst, full of heart, and deeply satisfying — no third-act breakup, no unnecessary drama. Just a couple figuring it out, making mistakes, and still choosing each other anyway. Add in well-written spice, believable chemistry, and a strong emotional core, and this was everything I want in a romance.
I’m so ready for more in this world — Gage and Isabel are already intriguing and I’m crossing my fingers we get a single dad story from Lex’s brother too.
Another smash hit for Emme and the start of her new Billionaire series! This book was hinted at through "Trusting the Fall" (book 1 in "Matters of the Heart" series). This book had an overlapping timeline with Trusting the Fall which was pulled off flawlessly and I loved seeing the events of that book from Lex's perspective.
LEXXXX - sweet, baby angel Lex. She's young but she's been through so much in her life. She carries herself so well and I found her such a relatable character. Emme wrote her feelings of grief and longing to belong really well. Her friendship with Claire was a real highlight, too. Everyone deserves a friendship like that - unwavering and unfiltered support 😍 CALEB - NEXT LEVEL OBSESSED. MY MAN. He saw his girl and he was like "yes please, she's mine". Wow! He was such a sweetheart - loyal, an honest family man who would do anything for the ones he loves and so passionate. His character really surprised me, in the best way.
These two had an instant connection from their first meeting (resulting in a one night stand), the mutual pining was so delicious. Despite the tension, their working relationship and formidable chemistry, the lines of communication were always open and honest. There was genuine effort from both of these characters to make their relationship work and be worthwhile.
Despite their differing backgrounds, Caleb and Lex ultimately wanted the same things - an all consuming love, surrounded by their families and the one person they're meant to be with.
Thank you for the arc, Emme. I cannot wait for Gage's book! So proud of you, girlfriend!
“Do you think it’s remotely possible to forget a woman like you, Siren? If you know how, then I beg you, don’t tell me.”
⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Lex & Caleb’s story was SUCH a comfort read!! Incredibly romantic, deliciously spicy - you can’t go wrong with this one!
Lex crashes into Caleb’s life with a super steamy one night stand and from that moment, he falls ass over tea kettle for her. He’s a man enthralled and will stop at nothing to call Lex “mine”. I loved how authentic & ambitious Lex was and it was so sweet to see Caleb win over her guarded heart with unwavering dedication. Emme's writing is so transporting and she created such beautiful imagery and throughout their story - from Caleb's Siren to other beautiful ocean references. It was really captivating to read.
Now let's talk spice because it was SO DAMN GOOD! Caleb is possessive, has a serious case of *wife her up* k!nk and isn’t afraid to have some fun in public 😏 Their chemistry was red hot from the start and the forbidden nature of their “working” relationship just added to the tension building between them.
If you’re looking for the perfect book to feel like you’re falling in love along with the characters, you’ll really enjoy Untethered Heart!
4.5⭐️ Absolutely loved! Untethered Heart is the kind of romance that pulls you in from the very first page and refuses to let go.
Lex and Caleb’s story had everything I adore in a contemporary romance, explosive chemistry, emotional depth, steamy moments, hilarious banter. Their connection was magnetic and believable, and I loved watching their relationship evolve from a chance encounter to something much deeper.
Emme also does such a beautiful job with the emotional layers, vulnerability, healing, and finding the courage to love again. And the spice was chef’s kiss.
Another highlight for me was the strong female friendship. Lex’s bond with her friends brought so much warmth and authenticity to the story, balancing the intensity of the romance perfectly.
If you’re a fan of billionaire romances that are both steamy and soulful, this one is a must-read. I can’t wait for more from the Heart City Billionaires series!
Emme Goode delivers a super sweet and swoon worthy billionaire romance with Untethered Heart. It’s one of those romance story that captivates you from the very first chapter and you can’t put down.
Untethered Heart starts off as a one night stand that quickly turns to something Caleb and Lex can’t forget. Caleb, once a playboy billionaire becomes a man obsessed with his siren. That man would do practically anything for her and I loved every minute of it. And our sweet Lex, that girl deserved the world and I’m glad she was able to get it with Caleb. The connection and chemistry between these two was out of this world and scorching hot. I particularly enjoyed the workplace romance twist that came with these two.
The Heart family also definitely caught my heart. From how they supported each other to the siblings’ banter, I loved everything about them. I can’t wait to see what comes next for this family.
You also get to see more of Claire and Leif from Trusting the Fall, which was super fun.
If you enjoy billionaire romance, Untethered Heart is definitely one to read!
I would like to thank Emme Goode for the opportunity to read and review Untethered Heart.
Caleb and Lex were two people I was rooting for in Trusting the Fall (which you should absolutely read if you haven’t yet) and I felt a connection to both characters and wanted to know more. The swoon here is epic-the tension, the pining, the sweetness, the spice. Call me old fashioned but I like the idea of a Cinderella story and this seemed to be coded that way, also it was (for me) Beau Eaton coded and I’m a heau for Beau forever. There’s a LOT of spice here folks, something for everyone. I’ve been working on trying to pull quotes from my highlights to show you the swoon and trying to not spoil the magic-this book IS magic though, so likely I’ve failed because these quotes for me are epic. One of the things that I adore so much about Emme Goode’s writing is the way I can’t get enough of the sibling group chat and their dynamics. I laugh out loud whenever the family is together and I can’t wait to hear from all these siblings in their own stories.
👋 Therapist Take: This story played out pretty organically (imho) as someone who has listened to many a person who is struggling or living with the impact of parental abandonment, grief, and unrelenting standards for themselves. I enjoyed the way both characters communicated their thoughts and feelings and the sweet and swoony ways that they learned to trust and ground themselves in each other. Emme continues to impress me with her poetic descriptions and seamless ways of weaving intimacy and connection with emotion and intense heat…and those veiny forearms and sweet little nicknames too 💕
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🥵🥵🥵🥵
Thank you to the author for the opportunity to beta read for you, and for being a dream to know-can’t wait to see you make huge strides…your future is going to be so bright 🫶🏻
Rating: 5⭐ Spice: 3🌶️ FMC: Lex Morgan MMC: Caleb Heart
Oh my, I don't know where you got this writing power from Emme, but please keep it up. From the first chapter on, I am hooked and can't get enough. Caleb is such an intense man, but so freaking sweet and caring around Lex. My heart was exploding at every moment between them. He is so obsessed with her, and I am here for it.
The first spicy moment between them was just fireworks going off. You could immediately tell that things already shifted between them. But I definitely enjoyed the development between them.
The tension and sweetness between them really brought me to my knees multiple times. The nickname was another weakness. It just fitted so perfectly. Lex is a strong woman who is career focused, but also ready to find love. Caleb is a rich playboy who wasn’t looking for love but knew he was doomed as soon as their eyes locked. He had no problem showing he cared and wanted more with Lex, who became his ‘Siren’.
Everything of this book is just pure perfection, the banter, the tension, the chemistry, the connection, the kisses, the spice. I absolutely love a good dirty talking man, and Caleb Heart for sure knew how to wet your panties.
And then the teasers about Gage 😍 it definitely made me so excited to read his story. I sat at the tip of my chair every time you brought Gage and his woman up. I need to know more and I need it soon! 😂
Thank you, Emme, for gifting me an ARC copy. I was so excited to read their story, so I really appreciated the opportunity to read and review it early ♥

Huge thanks to Emme Goode for the opportunity to receive a review copy of Untethered Heart!
After not really connecting with this book from the beginning, I decided to DNF at the 65% mark. Lex and Caleb’s connection didn’t really feel tethered to anything (sorry, I couldn’t help going for the pun here). It is impossible not to compare this book with Emme’s debut, Trusting the Fall, which has significant overlap since it takes place at the same time as Untethered Heart - with both books offering us alternate perspectives on several of the same events.
While Trusting the Fall also begins with a ONS, those characters continue to be drawn together by their physical relationship which eventually develops into more. There is a lot more time dedicated to them getting to know each other and Claire’s journey from playgirl to settling down.
By contrast, Lex and Caleb’s ONS - while a very memorable experience for them both - was initially a one time thing rather than something that immediately turned ongoing and they literally never had a lengthy conversation until he started hanging out at the bar where she worked. This made their complete obsession with one another hard to connect with since we never got a deeper look at what was pulling them together. The insta love feels like way too much, and Caleb’s over the top expressions of his feelings for Lex felt disconnected from the original character we met (again, without really showing us any sort of change or development in him on a deeper level). What could have provoked all of the feels in another setting felt like super lusty love bombing rather than rooted in genuine feelings.
You need to read this if you want to feel ready to be somebody to someone, forever.
Lex has goals & a clearly defined path to meet them. She's set her family legacy at the center of it all. She's focused & resolute. Thank God for her bestie, Claire, or I don't think she'd know what fun was. And boy, does our girl find fun one fateful night out. Lex's life plan starts to shift as she thinks about what she truly wants. 4.5 Caleb has the world in his hands. His life is built on a "I won't be fooled again" mindset, and it's served him just fine. He's set up rules of engagement and doesn't waver from them. He didn't know what was missing until one scorching night. It altered his chemistry & reordered his priorities. A new possibility was all he wanted to consider, and the rules went out the window.
Lex & Caleb find each other in a way that the other hasn't been found before. A knowing that's hard to reconcile in something so new. A wrinkle of circumstance adds complexity to Lex & Caleb's relationship. It slows one of them down while bringing clarity to the other. They compromise. They voice needs, wants, hopes, and desires. They make it work. They build it just right, just for them.
A siren & her sailor tethered together just as it should be.
I was so excited to be back in Heart City! We first meet Caleb & Lex in Trusting the Fall, and I couldn’t wait to get their story. They were 🔥 from the start - Caleb’s a playboy, but something about Lex has him pulled in. And he’s not alone.
Lex is working her ass off - finishing school, supporting her family’s dream of growing a whiskey business, but no matter how hard she tries, she cannot stay away from Caleb - even once she finds out his company is investing in hers. Let’s be honest - business with pleasure? We LOVE to see it 😮💨
UH is our first introduction the Heart Siblings and their extended family and I just adore their dynamic and was living for the group chats 😂
This book also sets us up for Gage’s story and I am already so down bad for that man.
Emme is going places my friends, and I want to shout her from the rooftops. Please run to download this when it releases tomorrow. You will fall in love with her characters and immediately be searching for flights to Australia 😍
It’s truly an honor to be one of Emme’s Goode Girls and have the opportunity to read this early. So thrilled for you!!
Well holy smokes. So I read her first book Trusting the fall which focuses on her friend Claire. this book starts her billionaires romance books! I am just loving these books. This one is spicy! But there is so much heart (I realize the pun) and I was here for all of it.
Lex hooks up with a guy at a bar after spending years focused on her degree. She has abandonment issues and hooks up with the city's billionaire bachelors who is notoriously known as a ladies man. But everything changes with this one night.
I love the heart family. Everyone is so different and intriguing. Lex and Caleb are amazing together and I love how family is so important in these books and even brings in the little issues within families while also realizing they are complex and still so much love. I found myself laughing, tearing up and also needing to fan myself when things get....heated! I loved this book and cannot wait for the next one! Thank you Emme for the ARC!
*Emme is from Australia so some of the spelling of the words are different. This is not spelling errors.
Emme did it again!! Caleb & Lex were everythingggggg 🥺😍 I loved the overlapping timeline with Trusting the Fall and all the side characters!
Caleb. Honey. Billionaire. Sir. 🧎♀️ He is wildly obsessed with Lex and I was 100% here for it! He had one night with her and then couldn't get her out of his mind. I loved how he did not play around with his past and was completely open and honest with Lex about everything and anything. His communication was on point!
Lex is an adorable little siren 🧜♀️. She was so mature for her age and had been through so much in her young life already. I love the way that really came into her own and was able to open up with Caleb and let him help her.
The swoon, the spice, the found family, and the love were just perfection. 🤌 I'm looking forward to everything Emme has for us in the future!

This story was amazing. The spice was spicing. The characters were well developed - and I cannot wait to read the next one!!
Caleb and Lex meet one night and she allows herself to enjoy a one night stand. They hit it off on a deeper level but Caleb doesn’t do sleepovers and he’s gone when Lex wakes up. Their meeting again is amazing and it turns out they have plenty of ties to each other.
We learn about their families, how they are now working together, and that Caleb and Lex cannot stay away from each other. They decide to keep their relationship quiet as to not upset the family.
There’s no miscommunication, there’s no 3rd act breakup, there’s no other women drama (minus one quick moment where she was properly taken care of).
Emme gave us a wonderful book that has me impatiently waiting for Gage & Izzy’s story!!
Lex and Caleb share one unforgettable night, thinking it was a one time thing but they can’t stop thinking about each other. Caleb even goes out of his way, hoping to cross paths with her again. Their connection is instant, but both have their own hesitations about diving into something real. Watching them navigate that and grow closer was so sweet. I also loved how their story tied back to book one. If you're in the mood for something swoony with just the right amount of spice, this is definitely one to add to your TBR.
Obsessed. No notes. Another flawless book from @emmegoodewrites 👌🏽 Caleb and Lex are perfection! I loved how they both were so drawn to each other and after night 1 that was it. I mean, Caleb is OBSESSED! I loved his inner monologue and the teasing from his siblings was amazing 😆 I already cannot wait for Isabelle and Gage’s book! Emme does such an amazing job really cultivating the side characters!

I loved Lex & Caleb!! Emme Goode writes vulnerability incredibly well and I felt it throughout the book as these two discovered each other and negotiated their relationship. I loved the world she created and I'm totally invested in this siblings and found family/friends surrounding them. I recommend this book if you like tender and sweet relationships that are encouraging and hopeful!
ARC Review 📖 Untethered Heart Heart City Billionaires Book 1 Written by Emme Goode @emmegoodewrites
From the moment I picked up this book I was hooked on these two. I love how obsessed Caleb is with his Siren (Lex). I love that somehow they keep running into each other. Fate I might say? The chemistry between them speaks for itself. They both cannot stop thinking about the one night they spent together.
Whenever they're together it is HOT! He cannot stop looking at her , touching her and saying the sweetest things to her. He is utterly obsessed and I'm here for it , because who doesn't love an obsessed MMC. Emme knows how to write the perfect book, boyfriends! First with Leif and now with Caleb. I can't wait to read all of her MMC and FMC.
I can't get enough of how gone he is for Lex and all the things he does for her and the things he says are so swoon-worthy throughout the whole book I kept thinking how can this man keep getting better and better. Anything is possible when it comes to Caleb Heart.
I love getting more of Claire and Leif as well in going to say it, does Claire's mom Margot get her own story? Hear me out because I could see that storyline having so much potential. As well as I would love to read about her finding a man that worships her and teaches her how she should be treated.
• Billionaire romance • One night stand • Boss/Client • Reformed playboy • Slutty glasses • "F*ck it" moment • Age gap- 11 years • 💦 in his pants • Mild exhibitionism • Man OBSESSED!!! • Secret tattoo • Claire and Leif cameos
Ahhh! Following Emme Goode’s writing career has been an absolute joy! And once again, she blew me away with another release. I’ve been so excited to read Caleb and Lex’s book and finally getting to know more about the Heart family. Emme has created such a beautiful world with the best found family vibes! This book was so good. Lighthearted, so hot, and the the dynamic between these two was so much fun.
The chemistry between Lex and Caleb was instant. It might have started with a one-night stand that left both of their heads spinning, but it quickly turned into so much more. This man was unapologetically obsessed! Watching him go from reformed playboy to Lex’s man was exactly the type of character arc I LOVE. Caleb was such a great example of a man who falls first and hard. He might’ve been hesitant in the beginning, but when he went all in, he went all in. Emme gave us some of the sweetest, most romantic moments that had me swooning like crazy, and they only made the insane chemistry between these two even stronger outside of the bedroom. The tender moments were hands down my favorite part of the book!
I absolutely adored the nickname Caleb had for Lex. It fit her so perfectly and made my heart melt every time he said it. She was such a tender, but strong FMC, and we got to watch her grow more and more confident as the book went on. Emme knows how to write a perfectly career-driven woman while keeping her tender personality, and Lex was the perfect example of that. Seeing the similarities between Claire and Lex was so much fun, I just loved their friendship in this book, it felt so real and supportive and added even more warmth to the story.
And getting to see more of Claire and Lief. Ahhhhh! I loved it!
This book ended with the sweetest moments and ZERO third act breakup. It was perfection.
Emme teased us just enough with the MMC (and a bit of the FMC!) of the next book, and I am so eager to start Gage’s story!
If you’re looking for a strong FMC who’s career-focused and just starting to put herself out there after years of pouring everything into work, and she just so happens to meet a possessive, dirty-talking businessman who has no problem making it known she’s his after one unforgettable night together. Then this book is 100% for you!
Let’s welcome Caleb Heart to the chat, our down bad man obsessed, slutty glasses wearing billionaire and my oh my does Lex his Siren knock him on his arse!
Our sweet girl Lex doesn’t even realise the effect she has on Caleb and when there past and present clashes together their palpable connection is too fierce to be ignored.
What I adore about the Emme-Verse is the seamless flow created between storylines and the incredible family moments that are intertwined. Can I join one of the Heart family dinners please? Because seriously every scene I can confirm I was grinning ear to ear!
