Blood & Fur #3

The Lord of Fear: A Progression Fantasy Epic

To overcome the Lords of Terror, he will have to become one himself.

Iztac's struggle against the Nightlords is now at a turning point. With the failure of their ritual and the loss of one of their own, the vampires have never been more paranoid; none are more suspicious of Iztac than the White Snake, who would see his treachery exposed by all means necessary. And in the Underworld, the trials of Xibalba continue.

But there is a light in the darkness. As Iztac's power grows, so does his circle of allies; among whom is his deceased father and all-too-living mother, who each seek to guide him towards a different path.

The crossroad between light and darkness awaits, and the road to ultimate power comes with a cost...

Book 3 in the action-packed BLOOD & FUR Progression Fantasy saga with a unique spin from Maxime J. Durand, bestselling author of Vainqueur the Dragon, The Perfect Run, and Apocalypse Tamer.

Another great book in this series. I truly found all the different trials in the different houses of fear to be truly interesting on human nature and what we fear. This book gave the main character plenty of power, but also truly made him go through major character development. (small spoiler) This especially took place in the last chapter of the book.

I read this awhile ago so it’s hard to remember why I gave it up, but if I remember correctly it was just the constant tension and horror at what was going on. 3 books is a long time to go without a real break from the terrors of this series.
