I ate this one up! The ex-boyfriend's dad trope was handled with just the right amount of tension and heat. Despite the intense chemistry between Ryder and Sasha, they waited seven years to act on their feelings to avoid hurting Mason. It's also adorable how oblivious they were of their love for each other. But all that made their eventual connection even sweeter and more meaningful. Their feelings felt genuine and tender. 🥹💕

I can't stand Ryder. He's just too freaking perfect. Ugh! God, it's me again... *sigh* 😮‍💨

For instance, in certain Asian cultures, it is common for women to prefer older men due to their perceived stability and responsibility, qualities that the male protagonist in this story exhibits. This dynamic is generally accepted in Southeast Asia with traditional families where it is a common occurrence that it doesn't arouse scandal or alarm.

While I have previously found this author's works to be compelling, depicting well-developed characters and a cohesive narrative, this particular novella did not meet the same standard. It appears to have been written with haste, lacking substantive content and failing to achieve a compelling storyline. This one just didn't work out for me.

I loved reading about this fifty year old guy who loved a twenty five year old woman. She had always been fascinated by him, then it turned to a crush, then all she could think about, and fantasize about was Ryder. I know this troupe always has the son as the Ex, being a problem, but it always works out. Loved the ending!
