But Rosemary Beach, the Floridian beach town where Julia grew up, has plenty waiting for her, including something that will change her entire existence. Among cobblestone walkways, and white sand beaches, Julia faces her fears, rediscovers love, and faces her fears head on. Maybe this second chance will give her the sense of purpose that’s been missing for so long.

predictable…

Just finished this 2nd book in the series even though I hadn’t cared too much for the first. These books are shockingly short, about the length of 3 chapters in an average book. These books fact that the author didn’t even bother to come up with individual titles for the books in a series should tell you something.
The plot is 2 old friends, one just divorced and the other widowed. Decide to start a bakery together. Every encounter they have sets “butterflies off in their stomachs”.
Maybe a teenager wrote these. Very disappointing. Luckily they are free to read on the Kindle Unlimited app. I’d feel cheated if I’d spent a dollar on this.

I said I would wait to read this one..

In my review of the first book I said I had to get to work and that I’d pick this book up when I was done. Um, ya, I didn’t do that. There’s a sneak peek of the next book at the end of each book so I read the first chapter of this book 2 and since I was already hooked I returned book 1 and began book 2. “Just one more chapter… ok, ONE MORE chapter…” Now I’m done and ready for book 3.

This was another great read and the very last paragraphs are cliff hangers that will resolve in book 3. It really stinks what happened to Jules. Again. I wonder if it’s the diner owner that is making it nearly impossible for Jules and Chloe to open their bakery. Probably.

Hopefully no one winds up getting murdered because you know Jules and/or Chloe will be suspect numbers 1 and 2.

Chloe suspects something is going on with their new chef, Daniel, but I think she just isn’t recognizing she’s attracted to him. I don’t know, maybe he’s the stealer of Jules identity. We shall see though!

See you in my next book thoughts review of book 3.

Julia and Chloe's Problems Continue

Julia sought professional guidance from her high school heartthrob after a night behind bars for a crime she swears she didn't commit. Scott, her knight in slightly tarnished armor, swoops in to help. But can he rescue her and Chloe from the financial quicksand of identity theft? And more importantly, can they unmask the criminal trying to crumble their sweet bakery dreams faster than a stale croissant?

A Good Cliffhanger!

This is an interesting story of two older women around 60 years of age trying to open a bakery. Lots of things happen that are impacting their ability to get the bakery started. This installment leaves the reader with a major cliffhanger. Leaving this reading hurrying to get the next book!

Great Read!

I enjoyed book 2 in this series watching Julia and Chloe navigate the various roadblocks they are encountering while trying to get their new bakery opened up. I'm looking forward to reading book 3 in this series and will definitely recommend this book to everyone.

Strange Happenings

And the drama continues. Now Julia's credit card has been hacked. Strange things are happening in this small town, before the bakery can even open. This is a true page turner.

meh

Hate how this series/book is written abd broken up. Short chapters and one story line broken up into multiple’books’ calling it a series seems deceptive but the story is okay. A bit predictable but ok.

Read entire series. Loved it. I just wish that it was one book instead of a set of 6 with only 80 some pages per book.

I'm loving this series. My only wish is that the author just released it as a full length novel to make it seamless reading. Just my opinion...

I like the fact that these books are short 80-85 pages. Most books I read are 380-480 pages. Great story line.

This is an interesting way to do a book. They are short not sure why the author doesn’t just make a book out of the 4 it’s a good read

This is such a cute book. It is not normal to follow older characters in their 50s while being single and finding themselves. Which makes it super refreshing to read. That no matter what stage in life you are in, you can always have a fresh start.
