59-year-old Julia Knight is officially divorced, lost and the talk of the town.
Everything changed when her husband decided he’d rather be married to her sister instead. So when her best friend Chloe suggests they move to Rosemary Beach and start their childhood dream business of running a bakery, the timing felt right.
But Rosemary Beach, the Floridian beach town where Julia grew up, has plenty waiting for her, including something that will change her entire existence. Among cobblestone walkways, and white sand beaches, Julia faces her fears, rediscovers love, and faces her fears head on. Maybe this second chance will give her the sense of purpose that’s been missing for so long.
Visit the beautiful beach town of Rosemary Beach, where friendship, hope, love, and wine are plentiful. This is Book 2 of 6 in a small-town women’s fiction series, perfect for readers who like easy beach reads and a little bit of mystery!
Just finished this 2nd book in the series even though I hadn’t cared too much for the first. These books are shockingly short, about the length of 3 chapters in an average book. These books fact that the author didn’t even bother to come up with individual titles for the books in a series should tell you something. The plot is 2 old friends, one just divorced and the other widowed. Decide to start a bakery together. Every encounter they have sets “butterflies off in their stomachs”. Maybe a teenager wrote these. Very disappointing. Luckily they are free to read on the Kindle Unlimited app. I’d feel cheated if I’d spent a dollar on this.
This series is awesome! It really does grab you from the beginning, I Had a hard time putting this book down! It really kept me reading ! I'm waiting on book 3;! Read the series really good
Julia sought professional guidance from her high school heartthrob after a night behind bars for a crime she swears she didn't commit. Scott, her knight in slightly tarnished armor, swoops in to help. But can he rescue her and Chloe from the financial quicksand of identity theft? And more importantly, can they unmask the criminal trying to crumble their sweet bakery dreams faster than a stale croissant?
This is an interesting story of two older women around 60 years of age trying to open a bakery. Lots of things happen that are impacting their ability to get the bakery started. This installment leaves the reader with a major cliffhanger. Leaving this reading hurrying to get the next book!
I enjoyed book 2 in this series watching Julia and Chloe navigate the various roadblocks they are encountering while trying to get their new bakery opened up. I'm looking forward to reading book 3 in this series and will definitely recommend this book to everyone.
And the drama continues. Now Julia's credit card has been hacked. Strange things are happening in this small town, before the bakery can even open. This is a true page turner.
This was a fun and fluffy read! It was short and sweet. Looking forward to reading the whole series! Julia and Chloe, long time friends, are opening a bakery in their old hometown, but nothing is going as planned. Someone is out to sabotage their dream!!
This is such a cute book. It is not normal to follow older characters in their 50s while being single and finding themselves. Which makes it super refreshing to read. That no matter what stage in life you are in, you can always have a fresh start.
