The Sea is a Grave All of the Dead Have Come Out to Play
One of Captain Phantom’s own took the woman who owns his soul and delivered her to his greatest enemies. Betrayal and darkness foster the rage in his heart making him into the monster the world believes him to be.
Monsters, they’ve taken Rose Davenport. They’re in her head, tearing at what little sanity she has left, mixing with the voices of the dead who beg her to kill them.
The dead may raise from the sea to devour the world, and he would let them. Nothing matters more than the siren locked away from him and he would welcome the darkness if it means saving her.
She will not let them win. This siren has wings, and she’s ready to fly.
Red as Blood. Orange as the Fading Light of Day.
The Demons of Draiocht is the thrilling third installment to the Nemain's Revenge series featuring fantasy adventure, enemies to lovers romance, and a crew of found family pirates. This volume opens up new POVs and challenges as magic plays a bigger role. New romances form while the Devils struggle against new formidable enemies, but they already promised to do whatever it takes.
We reached new depths with this installment. More players, more POVs, more context, more Phantom!
I am absolutely obsessed with this world that Hatton has built. I'm pretty sure she's a devious mastermind. Carefully laying groundwork from prequels to extended epilogues, TONs of foreshadowing and giving us morsels of breadcrumbs.
This book gets dark and gritty and it hurts your heart a bit, but it also has moments that are so beautiful they made me tear up.
There is so much happening here, laying the groundwork for what I can only assume is going to be an incredible 4th book In the Nemain's Revenge series.
4.5 ☆ Ugh, my heart. This will hit you in the feels, rip your heart out, then stitch it back together all at once.
The characters continue to develop and get more entangled. We learn even more about the story and the lore that was introduced earlier in the series, but boy, does it get complex. This book deals in some dark and heart-wrenching topics that are hard to read but builds on to the plot even more. I will continue to root for these characters and their found family to the very end.
Exciting and suspenseful! Book 3 takes a darker turn and delves deep into Rose and Phantom’s inner machinations. Seeing Rose’s POV was an interesting experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. I feel like the characters are more fully developed and I’m so ready to see what happens next!
