Mystery was the theme of the Shifter's Masked Ball. We hid our faces and our scents, forgetting our identities for a night.
That was where I found my soulmate.
As the bond burst across our skin, I thought he was everything I'd ever wanted.
It wasn’t until several sweaty and delicious minutes later that I realized the horrible mistake I'd made.
Now that our bond is sealed and an uncertain future awaits, is it too late to reject him? Or could this unlikely bond be exactly what I've been waiting for?
If there’s one thing Miyo Hunter knows how to do, it’s serving up a piping hot paranormal romance with a side of angst and an extra-large helping of smut. Moonlight Claimed is no exception. This was my first full dive into Hunter’s world, though I had a fleeting encounter with her work in a PNR anthology. And let me tell you, if you’re here for a deep, complex plot... well, maybe take a seat and lower your expectations. But if you’re here for sizzling chemistry and enough tension to power a small city—congratulations, you’re in the right place.
The story follows Kira and Magnus, and oh boy, talk about complicated relationships. Imagine finding out your fated mate is none other than the infuriating, borderline sadistic wolf who’s been making your life a pack-sized nightmare. To add a juicy little twist, he’s also your brother’s sworn enemy. Drama, anyone? But let’s be honest, can you really blame Kira for being drawn to Magnus? He’s sexy, powerful, and basically the embodiment of every morally grey love interest we all secretly adore. Sure, he might have been a royal pain in the past, but hey, redemption arcs are sexy, right?
Now, I won’t lie to you—this book isn’t exactly brimming with plot. In fact, it’s about as thin as the excuses Kira gives herself every time she ends up in Magnus’s bed. But who cares? Sometimes, you just need a book that unapologetically revels in the delicious push and pull of a toxic, fated mates dynamic, and Moonlight Claimed delivers that in spades.
Of course, Kira has her moments of being a total cry-baby—running straight into danger, acting out impulsively, and generally making questionable life choices. But hey, we’re not here for logical character decisions; we’re here for the drama and the undeniable heat between our leads. And boy, does this book deliver. The tension? Immaculate. The spice? Off the charts.
In conclusion, Moonlight Claimed is a guilty pleasure read in the best possible way. It’s indulgent, it’s steamy, and it doesn’t pretend to be anything else. If you’re in the mood for brooding alpha males, a bit of enemies-to-lovers spice, and enough steamy scenes to leave you fanning yourself, then grab a glass of wine and dive in. Just don’t expect a complex plot or characters who always make rational decisions—because where’s the fun in that?

Kira was in such a rush to get back to her room. Why you ask? For one, it was because she stayed late to help the older professor put away equipment from class after all of her classmates rushed out of the room at the end of the lesson. For another reason and the same reason for the rush of her classmates, tonight was the Masked Ball. One that she was very behind in getting ready for. Not only did everyone where masks, but they also wore strong scents to hide who they were. Wolf shifters had great sense of smell after all. Would she make it in time? Would she have fun? Would she figure out who anyone was?
This was a fun read that went by quickly. The story was fun and it was very spicy. So if you’re looking for a spicy heavy book with a plot, then this is your story. I don’t typically read spicy heavy books, preferring more plot than spice. But, this was a good mix of both with the plot keeping me invested in the storyline. I did enjoy the book.
I loved the masked ball element, the mating bond manifestation and the tension as Kira and Magnus try and overcome their past in this enemies to lovers fated mates story. This is a quick fast paced steamy book and was a nice change of pace to the usual dark romances I read but there is still plenty of plot and I love the relationship with Kira and Sylas. I haven't read the others in the series but I'll be looking them up.
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
Kira's memory stores all the bad words, looks and snarls Magnus has thrown at her for years. When she sees him that all comes back. She is wonderfully overwhelmed by his being her soulmate, but it always comes back after and she starts to withdraw. "How could I be with him? How could I let him go?" Miyo has crafted a wonderful tale full of plot twists to keep you guessing. Richly described characters and scenes you will feel a part of. I laughed, was angry, worried, teared up and smiled as I read and I couldn't put this book down. The first story by Miyo that I've read and I will be looking for more.
This book flowed pretty fast. Especially with all the romping, which I swear was like 2/3 of the book lol. Magnus & Kira had a huge surprise when they soul bonded at the masked ball & had some big mixed feelings about it. Magnus had some misguided actions on how he treated Kira for a long time due to his feelings for her. So understandably Kira was afraid of how he’d truly treat her now that they were bonded. But the product of their bonding was a miracle worthy of a feast for the pack & ended on a HEA. Kinda think there needs to be a book on Erik now.
I hadn't read any of this series before. So I went back and read from the first one. These are quick spicy reads with a different take on mates for werewolves. Each book is about a different couple and has an HEA. I enjoyed all of them so far and can't wait to read more.
Our main characters get off to a rough start but work things out the best way, the spicy way. I really enjoyed Miyo's take on fated mates and how they are matched up. It's not something I've read before and I always appreciate something new.
I am absolutely in love with Miyo's world of Moonlight Mates. Each book we get a new couple, a new journey, and a new HEA. Each one is new and exciting, never knowing what we are going to get, and it's an emotional roller-coaster of pulling at our emotions. Here we get Kira and Magnus. Their story starts from literally the beginning as Kira remembers every interaction they have ever had. When there mate status is revealed, it is a turbulent of emotions of can I have him as a mate or can I leave him? Join the ride and see how these two make it out on the other side.

I won’t lie I thoroughly enjoyed this book from opening to close I was hooked. This was a super fun read that went by quickly. The story was fun and it was very spicy which I totally loved I mean who doesn’t love spice right.. So ladies if you’re looking for a spicy heavy book with a plot, then this is the book for you.
This is the fourth book in this series and it’s another fantastic read. Once again I was hooked from the start. This time we have Kira and Magnus’ story. I really love them as a couple. Together they create plenty of spice even though they got off to a rough start. I love how elements of the previous stories are brought in connecting the series. I hope there will be more stories soon.
Moonlight claimed is book 4 of The Moonlight Mates Series. This is quick and steamy read with quite alot of steam for majority of the book. The storyline flows and I enjoyed the characters and the happily ever after they got, even with the little bit of rocky start they had in the beginning. I am enjoying this series and each o e focuses on one couple.
Miyo does not disappoint with this book. She gets you hooked fairly quickly. She makes all of her characters come alive with the way she writes that you can't help fall in love with them. Love how the characters met and how they struggled with what they wanted and knew that your soul mate is what you are always looking for. Loved they got their HEA.
Kira and Magnus happen at a fast pace. She and him have been at odds for awhile. Then after a masked encounter they find out their connection. It was hard for them to express verbally what they were feeling. They had to work the past to move forward. I loved her brother Sylas.
This book was a serious rollercoaster and my emotions were everywhere. I could not stop reading and I loved the ending. Who does not love a romance story when the guy falls first? I adore it! Definitely a must read if you love romance!
Mira was just looking to have some fun at the Masked Ball. She never expected to find her fated mate there or for it to turn out to be Magnus, her enemy.
What follows is Magnus trying to win Mira over because he has always wanted to be with her but was afraid she wasn’t his mate.
It is a pretty quick paced storyline that involves quite a lot of smexy times ( not bad either ). Mira ends up in’s bit of a predicament with a vampire but Magnus saves her & in doing so almost jeopardizes their place in the pack. But because of this they also learn that Mira is expecting.
The jump after that was fast & the ending almost seemed like it just stopped but it was still a pretty decent take.
I did enjoy reading this, as I grew fond of Magnus & his alpha ways.
