I grew up a Navy brat before becoming an Army wife. My husband got out of the military, and we settled in Knoxville, TN. We became foster parents in 2010. We became adoptive parents soon after that, adding three additional children to our two biological children. I have education in the medical field, but spent most of my life working with children in various venues. I love preschool children, but my favorite job was working as a teaching assistant in middle school. It is from working with children that I get the most inspiration for my stories. I love to write poetry and can do it for almost anything.
