Zariah never had the luxury of innocence. Growing up on the gritty Westside of Chicago, she quickly learned that fairy tales weren't meant for girls like her. When her father walked away, leaving her mother drowning in heartbreak and addiction, Zariah’s childhood vanished overnight. Dreams were deferred, replaced by the daily struggle of survival. Trust became a liability she couldn't afford—until Kaine stepped into her life.
Kaine. Wealthy, dangerously handsome, and dripping with an arrogance that screams untouchable. He carries himself like the city owes him something, a magnet for side chicks, baby mama chaos, and a reputation built on bad decisions. Zariah knows men like Kaine only bring pain, yet his relentless pursuit begins to dismantle the carefully built walls around her heart.
As their worlds intertwine, Kaine becomes her anchor amid chaos, a twisted safety net that feels like salvation. But the deeper Zariah falls, the clearer it becomes that loving Kaine means inheriting his past—and his past is relentless.
Enter Akina, not just an ex, but a woman scorned. Her obsession with reclaiming Kaine ignites a dangerous game of manipulation and betrayal. In Chicago’s brutal streets, where love and loyalty blur lines, a jealous woman can be just as deadly as a loaded gun.
With the stakes higher than ever, Zariah must confront truths darker than she imagined. When loyalties fracture and lies unravel, she's forced to ask herself one life-altering
Is being a Spoiled Little Hood Wife worth losing her heart—or even her life?
If you’re a fan of African American romance, hood-rich thugs, second chance romance, and wealthy Alpha men with dangerous edges, Spoiled Little Hood Wife will grip you from the first page, pulling you into a story as raw and intoxicating as forbidden fruit.
I’ve read so many books at this point that the minute I feel a story drifting in a direction I don’t like, I start skimming straight to the end. And this one went left quick. Everybody is somehow in the same circle, everybody is sleeping with each other, and the drama feels recycled.
Zariah is clearly being lined up to end up with Silas in book 2, even though she didn’t deserve a happy ending either. She was sleeping with him knowing he was still involved with his baby mamas, but of course she’ll still get her HEA because that’s the direction the author is pushing. I’m glad I didn’t waste my time reading every page, because nothing here made me want to stay.
The characters were all becoming unlikable and messy for no reason. And Zariah never gets held accountable for anything. She moves foul, but the narrative bends to make her look like the victim every time. That’s when I realized these 4–5 star ratings be pity stars. High ratings do not mean the book is actually good.
Now wait a dang minute Kevina Hopkins I know you did not just leave us hanging like that.. It is about to be a whole war going down in part 2 because baby Kaliq is about to be on a rampage about Zariah. Oh and Kaine just made my s** t list for that stunt he pulled and he is about to see a side of Zariah that he has never been exposed too before..
Man I hope Zariah finds the strength to fight for her life. I know she just found her mama DOA but she still has family that needs her. I like Kaine but I'm kinda feeling like he doesn't deserve her if all it took was his baby mama giving him some information and he cheats on her. When he knows the bull💩 his baby mama already into, why indulge? There's no coming back for Monte with Ari and I don't blame her. It's one thing to cheat but to have the hoe in their bed is an unforgivable betrayal. Veronica doesn't deserve Kaliq either. I know they are married but she be doing to much. She needs a reality check. I like Silas tho, he doesn't seem shady even tho he was messing with Kaliq's baby sister Zariah behind his back.💕💕
I can't stand a messy - miserable ass hoe. Bri and Akina just can't well enough alone. Then some of them ninjas acting like some real Bishes too. How you pillow talking with a miserable bish? Kaine I really had high hopes for you but you done pissed me the fuck off. Yo baby mama ain't nothing but a smut bucket. She f@cking someone you working with yet you believe what comes outta her 🍆 sucking cum guzzling mouth? You stupid Bruh!!!!!
Kaine and kaliq about to paint the town red over Zariah.poor zariah found her mother on the 🛋 so sad.akina was a deadbeat mom .briana and Akina deserve that butt whoopin they got.i feel like Veronica is a snake. Monte should be shame of his's self.i don't blame Ariana for what she did.cant wait to read part 2
Zariah reminds me of the young ladies from my neighborhood ,they fall in love and all in till the messy baby mama comes and tries to ruin everything Ari and Monte just need to go separate ways and those messy Brianna and Akina just need to disappear the ending had me at the end of my seat cant wait to see what becomes in book 2
I love Zariah and her relationship with Ari and Alicia. They are blood but Rick like besties. Kaliq looks out for his sisters. Kaine is gonna have his hands full trying to keep Zariah if he isn’t on the up and up. Monte deserves exactly what he’s getting. Can’t wait for part 2
Took awhile to get used to the writing, but I was hooked. This book has the juicy drama that I don’t mind reading😂 it was messy as hell! It ended in a freaking cliffhanger, so I’m desperate for part 2.
Boring …good girl meets drug dealer have great sex and that’s the main story line. Waste if time…please pass on this read. Trust me…if ur over 21 you’re going to find this quite juvenile.
A good read full of craziness. These characters have so much going on. The drama, lies, secrets, and trauma is at an all time high. With well developed characters and a good storyline, I can't get enough. On to book two.
I'm ready for part 2. Who was shooting? And was it for Silas? Kaine messed up again smh And what's up with Veronica? She's on some sneaky mess I think. Anywho good read.
whew this book was a great read well written with little to no errors. Ii bed reading this authors books for years let's just say she never disappoints
I love the sibling bond Kaliq , Ariana , and Zariah have. Kaliq don't play when it comes to his sister's. That includes checking his wife Veronica about her jealousy towards Zariah. I don't like Veronica. She look sneaky. I also looked at her side way's when she said Zariah wasn't Kaliq real sister. I believe she's envious of Zariah because Zariah is the youngest sibling and hardly ever ask Kaliq for anything but now since he moved her and Ariana in together and Zariah allowing him to do more for her. Veronica feel some type of way. Kaliq and Ariana share the same mother and father but Zariah have a different mother. Veronica sounded dumb as hell saying that. Akina and Briana should be tired of getting their ass whooped. Kaine need to put Akina on a leash because she's doing too much. Akina feel like since her and Kaine have a daughter. She's entitled to him whenever and that she should be living the life Zariah is living. Akina hate that Zariah is the one Kaine is in love with. All the drama she continues to start isn't without reason though. Kaine need to keep his penis in his pants and Akina need to be worried about being a better mother and stop chasing after Monte too. Briana is mad because of Silas and Zariah past. Briana know that even though Zariah is with Kaine. Silas have feelings for Zariah and that is eating Briana up. Ariana need to leave Monte trifling ass alone. Not only did she find out he was cheating again but it was with Akina hoe ass. Then Monte got even more disrespectful and did it in the house him, Ariana, and their daughter live in. Monte better be glad all he got was a shot in the arm and Akina better be glad Ariana didn't drag her. Not only that Kaliq, Kaine, and Silas need to watch Monte. He pillow talk with Akina entirely too damn much. The way this ended. I couldn't do anything but shake my head. Zariah biggest fear came true. In the mist of all that. I drive by happened.
