And They Call Me God

Rate this book
What caused the bloody massacre within the walls of a small Baltimore city church? A thin trail of circumstances lead to Devonte Harrington, a mid-level drug dealer with a devoted group of young women and block soldiers who surround him at all times. What is his hold over them? And what inspired his legacy of savagery? Son of a selfish teenage mother, and raised primarily by his aunt Angela, Devonte was born in the shadows of the Myers Home for Veterans, and for years hidden from the world like a dirty secret. Could the start of his villainous supremacy begin here? Told through the eyes of Samantha Herrnstein, one of his devotees, we learn her view on how the absence of love spawned his wrath. But as her flare for story holds you captive, be careful, you might miss something. And we promise, you won’t see it coming!

I needed God in my life

I became spoiled with the speed at which T Styles dropped reading material last year so trust me when I say this book was long awaited.

I can't even review this book the way I want to without giving away spoilers! It was fast paced and full of drama. God aka Devonte is that dude. This story was just what I needed in my my life

They call me...

T. Styles always comes up with some of the most twisted storylines and this was no exception to the rule. Take this journey along twisted emotions and feelings of rage.

This book keeps you on your toes all the way to the end. And although he was an horrific individual the end still hurt and, I won't lie, I dropped a few tears. Well worth the read.

"And They Call Me God" by T. Styles! How do you create a character so cold, calculating and heartless, but in the same breath have people feel compassion for him!! A man, who as a child was always on the losing end of things! The scars from his childhood formed the deadly character of a man who felt no love or forgiveness for anyone, not even the family who tried to reach out to him and right their wrongs! They Called him God and to many he was God, because he had the power to determine your destiny if you went against him! This book was filled with neglect of a child, inner pain, control, revenge and a revelation so damn deep and well orchestrated that I never saw it coming! The character of God was larger than life because all people wanted to do was serve and please him. He proved several times why they called him God but let me highly suggest that you one click and crack the cover of this book open to find out for yourself how he garnered such a title! "And They Call Me God" by T. Styles. I have been a reader and supporter of her writing for many years and am looking for many more to come.

This is my first read from this author. I blew through the text because I just could not--would not put it down.

The story is heart wrenching, with a central theme of unrequited love being woven all through out. Make no mistake though; this book is gruesome, profane and downright nasty at times. So get your mind right.

Nonetheless, the primary character is so well written; so dynamic.

Im a Law & Order, How to get away with murder, criminal minds fangirl & I NEVER EVER would've guessed who the traitor was, right up until they were revealed.

Geez, bottom line, download a sample then 1-click. It's more than worth it's price.

I plan to go back and read more titles from this author.

All I can say is wow! This book was very good. T. Styles did her thing as always. When Lauren family was murder what stood out for me is the identity of the man with butter skin and beady eyes who she will never forget. Who is he? Is he Devonte "God"? If it was Devonte I know her feeling will def. change for him even though he was killed...or he pull through? I wanna to know so bad. I cannot wait for a part 2.

Where do I begin with this book? Tossed aside, abandoned and hurry, Devonte's life spiraled downward at an early age. What emerged from the rumble was a man best described as the Dark Knight…one who is afraid to love, because he was never taught how. For this reason alone, many are left by the wayside and all are left…

This much anticipated release was definitely worth the wait and I enjoyed it.

One of the best!!!!!!

I am by far a T.Styles fan for sure and this book has just upped the ante for me. Knowing what kind of person Devonte was I don't blame Lauren for her unconditional love that is what he needed. The tragic in this man life my God! I just feel so bad for Lauren it starts all over for her again.

When a single event can change everything

This book was great. It was relatable how a single event could change the lives of the characters. Each character was vulnerable in their own way. All the characters dealt with challenges relating love in various ways. Overall I finished this book feeling as if I should be more forging and excepting of love. Bravo... T.Styles

How long is it going to be for part 2?

Although, I love this book I felt as though there were too many characters to keep up with. However, I can't wait for the second installment. There are so many twist and turns that I never expected it. Another job well done from the Queen T. Styles!

this was my least favorite book by t styles. This book did not have any of the usual twist and craziness that I am used to by this author. the devonte character was the only reason I kept reading. other than that I did not have any connection with the other characters.

Good Book

What can I say T.Styles you always writes good stories. This was a really good book. Devonte aka God has been through a lot in his life. Didn't see the twist until it got close to end of the book. Looking forward to your next book.
