The Pursuit of Happiness is book 2 in the Satan’s Angels interconnected standalone series. It has One-night stand to fake dating, enemies-to-lovers, mystery, it has all the tropes.
I thought this book was sweet eventhough it seemed that it was supposed to be hardcore. There is a lot of talk about drugs and alcohol and the party scene that comes with being in a rock band. Sly and Aria have had a tough time in the beginning, but when Aria finally gives into her feelings, and puts her worries aside, they make a great couple.
There is a small 3rd act breakup, but it was so small that I can hardly consider it a breakup; and it was resolved with Sly being the hero yet again.
Overall, I enjoyed this rockstar romance and I recommend it!

I was lucky enough to get selected to read as an arc reader The Pursuit of Happiness and it did not disappoint! Right off the bat, we meet Aria, who is the guitarist of Satan’s Angels. This is the second book of the series titled Satan’s Angels. Although I didn’t read the first novel in the series titled The Masks We Wear, it’s not necessary to do so. These books are interconnected and this one is all about Aria and Slater.
We meet Aria, who is trying to find her own pursuit of happiness and mirrors the lifestyles of famous rock artists like Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett and Pat Benatar. She’s an independent, kick-ass fmc who deep down, feels insecure about who she is and what she has been through. She was able to leave the life behind that she once knew when she knew in her heart she was destined to be something more
Through Aria’s point of view, we met Slater Nicks, the drummer of The Thunderstrike, their competition. At first sight, Aria feels this instant connection with Slater, who has tousled blonde hair and tattoos on his arms. A. M. DiTota has an intricate way of writing exactly what Aria feels when she spots Slater across the club. She has a way of making you feel like you are sitting right next to Aria, feeling and experiencing everything all at once. Her writing style is out of this park!! The way she conveys emotions, feelings, settings and descriptions are out of this world and I freaking loved it !! 🫶🏽
This story is all about Aria and Slater’s journey into the unknown. Figuring out what is real and what is fake. Who is telling the truth and who isn’t. It’s a story of how despite what happens to both Aria and Slater, how the media always portrays the females in a disgusting light while high-fiving the males. This story demonstrates that insecurities can win a battle but not a war. And, lastly, it demonstrates how love can blossom from an unexpected event and fight through the odds. I absolutely loved reading this book and can’t wait to read Ivory’s !

Whaaatttt!!!
Okay the first book was good, but this one was even better Aria & Sly’s story was def my favorite one!
Like what happened to both of them is soo effed up, but then again if it didn’t happen they would’ve not gotten close.
Sly my man he’s just the sweetest person but mess with his girl and the man is like a damn bull seeing RED!!
I loved how protective he was of her and when she seemed to push back from / reject him he didn’t give up.
Aria, Aria, Aria she’s soo freaking cool (let’s face it Satan’s Angels are freaking bad a$*) anyways I get why she was the way she was and why she felt like something was missing so she would drink and do drugs and still feel empty.
I’m glad she realized none of it was her fault and she deserves to be happy!!
This book takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and for some a WTF moment (I say for some because for me that wasn’t the case I had already figured out who it was from the very beginning 😅👀)
Overall it was a freaking good book def read book one so you know about Brody & Harvey😊
& let me just say Selene is a freaking bad ass like always!!
I can’t wait for ivory’s story!! Also would love to see a story about Selene 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Lesson learned: never judge a book by its cover. While I haven’t been a fan of the covers in this series, the stories themselves? So good.
I love a good rockstar romance, and this one delivered. The way Satan’s Angels were portrayed as a form of feminine power in the rock industry was incredible. Aria’s dedication to increasing female representation in the genre was one of my favorite aspects of the book.
Aria Kane—a girl just learning to love herself and finding herself in some questionable situations. She has a habit of jumping to conclusions and occasionally ignoring common sense, but at her core, she’s sweet and just trying to find her place.
Then there’s Slater Nicks—the ultimate golden retriever/cinnamon roll type. This man has been pining over Aria for years, accepting whatever scraps of attention she throws his way and hoping she’ll finally return his feelings. She definitely didn’t treat him the best, but he understood why and never held it against her.
The feminist themes in this book? Loved them. It explores how women—especially in the rock industry—are judged for their sexuality compared to men, and it was so well done. The plot itself was engaging, though I totally guessed the bad guy early on. The real mystery was why it took the characters so long to put the pieces together!
Also, Harvey & Brody’s relationship? Still obsessed. Harvey’s protectiveness extending to Brody’s besties? Even better. Selene is an absolute BADASS and proof that terrifying things can come in small packages. And let’s talk about Dallas and Ivory for a second. That man is PINING HARD, and I need to see what happens between them in the next book.

I’ve had applications out for a while and I’m happy to report that I have finally found my next book boyfriend. It’s still new, but I hope you’ll be happy for Slater "Sly" Nicks and I as we begin our whirlwind romance. 😍
Okay, I’m not usually one to gravitate towards musicians or dive into rockstar stories but “The Pursuit of Happiness” by A.M. Ditota has totally changed my tune (I know you see what I did there). This is Book 2 in the Satan’s Angels series (not that I realized that going in) and it’s a wild ride that left me squealing and kicking my feet in the air.
The book centers on rival rockstars Aria Kane of Satan’s Angels and Slater Nicks of Thunderstrike as they have an electric one night stand, which should be chaotic enough but is made infinitely worse when a scandalous sex tape of them surfaces, threatening Aria’s hard-earned reputation. What are these sexy little rockstar enemies to do but hatch a plan to fake a relationship, convincing the world the tape was a publicity stunt. 📼
I found myself warming up to these characters immediately. The Satan’s Angels are badass, and their bond of sisterhood was such a reassuring foundation as the rest of the story progressed. I really loved watching Aria’s walls come down, as we both unraveled for this golden retriever drummer boy that goes from cinnamon roll to throwing hands when Aria is threatened. And then there’s the spice, which your ghoul liked VERY much. The way the forced proximity tension built between these two was addicting, and as jealous as I was, I was really rooting for their sexual implosion. 🌶️🌶️
Plot twist: Selene Stone came out of nowhere and turned into one of my favorite characters. I want to simultaneously hire her, befriend her and never mess with her.

I found myself warming up to these characters immediately. The Satan’s Angels are badass, and their bond of sisterhood was such a reassuring foundation as the rest of the story progressed. I really loved watching Aria’s walls come down, as we both unraveled for this golden retriever drummer boy that goes from cinnamon roll to throwing hands when Aria is threatened. And then there’s the spice, which your ghoul liked VERY much. The way the forced proximity tension built between these two was addicting, and as jealous as I was, I was really rooting for their sexual implosion. 🌶️🌶️
Plot twist: Selene Stone came out of nowhere and turned into one of my favorite characters. I want to simultaneously hire her, befriend her and never mess with her.

The Pursuit of Happiness was addicting. I wanted to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next. Aria is a guitarist who is lost to who she is and at the beginning of the book she finds herself in a terrible predicament. And Slater is a drummer who has been pining for Aria for ages who also finds himself in said predicament, only for him it isn't as terrible.
In this fake dating, enemies to lovers book you can't help but to root for Slater, at least I couldn't. Aria is the girl of his dreams and I wanted them together so bad. A.M. DiTota wrote such a heartbreaking story for Aria, so when she got her HEA it was a breath of fresh air and I cried happy tears for her. 4/5⭐

Book 2 in this rock star series follows another Devil's Angels rock star and her pursuit to find happiness. The connection to the title is given really early in this book and it is stated redundantly throughout. I think there could have been a little more build up before the connection added.
I overall really loved the book and was excited to read this next installment. The FMC and the MMC were fake dating after a sex tape was released of them. A sex tape that they were unaware of. The MMC is portrayed as a cinnamon roll but he does beat a lot of people up so...maybe not lol.
Overall, this was a cute romance with some fake dating where the MMC falls first and has loved the FMC for quite awhile. I loved how he pursued her, but he definitely was not cinnamon roll material. He was a little more of a bad boy than portrayed.

This book really takes on its title as all Aria wants is to find happiness but things don't run so smoothly for her.

Imagine there you are laid bare (literally) for everyone to see and not just with some random guy but the drummer from a rival band 🫣. To make things worse you can't remember any of it and don't know what is going on!
You really go through all of Arias emotional trauma from her back story to present day and she can't seem to catch a break. The tape really has a knock on her self esteem, especially with how it's received by the public but Slater is there by her side every step of the way and as always Selene is on it to try and turn it around.
They may start fake dating for publicity but Slater is the perfect calm to her inner storm and once they stop fighting it the sparks fly. He's very much a cinnamon roll but with touch her and die vibes 😅.
There are some twists throughout that keep you guessing on how things will turn out and who made the tape. I loved Slater and Aria together so maybe what happened was fate.
Selene is an absolute dream, her take no shit attitude is so empowering but she has a softer side that flashes through every now and again. She's definitely the glue that holds everyone together.
I'm looking forward to Ivory's story next as she started to come out of her shell in this book and I want to see what happens next 😍

I love the Rick and Roll / Music tropes and I really enjoyed this book. Aria and Slater are both part of a Rock and Roll band and are up for the same award. slater has had a crush on Aria for 3 years when they first met but she doesn’t remember him because of the lifestyle she used to live. After they end up part of a sex tape, they decide to pretend to be a couple, until they realize they are not pretending anymore. I really enjoyed the theme of woman in power and been in charge of their lives. I gave it 4 / 5 stars because I wished Aria would have spoken up sooner about how unfair the media has portrayed her rather than doing it on the show. I also didn’t care for Slater always resourcing to violence when things got difficult or someone insulted Aria. To me it showed a bit of immaturity. Aside from that, this book was hot and I really enjoyed it

Oh my god, I loved this book! Slater Nicks, need I say more? I am obsessed with A.M DiTota’s writing style and the way she writes such multi-layered and relatable characters. I thought I loved Brody and Harvey’s story and then she outdid herself with Aria and Sly’s story. From page 1 I was addicted, I could not put it down. The plot is so interesting and this one had kind of a mystery element to it, which I really enjoyed. The romance in this book is just top tier, Sly is the definition of a golden retriever man who is fiercely protective of his woman. I’m truly in awe of the way DiTota writes her FMC’s, they are so loveable but also so relatable, I loved Aria so much. I’m so excited for Ivory’s story!

What a rollercoaster ride! I love the Satan’s Angels girls and this book was brilliant! The dedication is perfect: “to all the girls who’ve always wanted to be a rockstar’s girlfriend.” Aria (FMC) is sassy and strong despite all her traumas. Sly (MMC) is the perfect balance of golden retriever with protective and touch her and d!e vibes. I was invested in their fake but not fake relationship very quickly -the characters and plot had me hooked from the start. I also love how A.M. DiTota hooks her readers in for the next book in the series by adding a little hint or cliffhanger for the next FMC (she also did this at the end of book one for Aria). Loved it!

This book from the dedication to the last page keeps you interested. As usual read your trigger warnings. The persuit of happiness is book 2 of a series but it can also be read as a standalone.
A.M done it again the emotions, the plot and most of all the amazing characters it has it all. READ YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS!!! Everything about aria and slater was amazing I was hooked on every page I couldn’t read it fast enough but I also didn’t want it to end I need the next book like yesterday please. There is so many good quotes but this one just stuck in my head!

Slater Nicks! (Fanning myself) he is just so perfect. His way of being, his energy, and the way he loves! I was rooting for him since the beginning.
Aria falls for Slater the more they hang out. It doesn’t start all lovey dovey, but when they get to a part in the relationship, if fake dating, Aria realizes she has fallen for him and it’s mutual.
I was so engaged in the story and the way the book developed, amazing. I had such a good time reading. A swoon worthy story you don’t want to miss.

Just wow! This book had me on a roller coaster ride of emotions and I was definitely here for it! The plot is well thought out. The fake but not so fake relationship was what got me hooked. We all know someone who can relate to the characters. The ending was definitely a great way to have the readers looking forward to the next book.

This book was amazing though I didn't read the 1st book in the series when I read this 1 it was fine... this book is for the ladies that wanted to have that Rockstar life. I love this story!!!!! I could not put it down. The compassion and support that was shown with all the characters was amazing. Along with all the banter. When the book ended I needed more. This will def be a book that will live rent free in my head.

This story portrays a story that women of the world know all too well. Enjoy sex and the woman is a slut, yet the man is a god. This was so good, and I am in love with Sly myself. But most of all, I appreciate the message that a woman can be a badass rockstar and get her happily ever after.

Let me say the development of the two characters in this book Aria and Slater was such a whirlwind and I was in full awe🎸! When reading their was a PR stunt of a relationship , due to the video leak 📸 of a explicit video of theirs, however their relationship did turn into something more which was so interesting to divulge more as the story progressed! Let me tell you Slater has a Dominant side 🗝️ of himself and his lover when in a relationship even though he is a such a sweet, and a golden retriever type, which i'm not complaining 🤭. Let me say Aria is such a strong, independent character that stays determined and is one of my favorite characters 💜!!!
Also, when reading this book it was such a lovely story that highlighted women taking the lead and staying in charge of our life and our story, thank you!!! 🥰 When reading it took me through such an emotional rollercoaster of emotions and feelings 🥺.
