Never go outside after sunset. The shadows lurk, always watching, and they are ravenous.
Wolf Mountain is steeped in a curse that runs deep within its soil, making the house the very heart of darkness. A shroud of evil blankets the land, concealing its secrets from the untrained eye.
Wolf Raven was born and raised in this haunted dwelling, unable to break free. An unseen force binds him there, along with the ghosts who visit him in the dead of night.
His brother, Cyrus, torments people, while Wolf finishes the job with his axe.
One night, a blood-curdling scream pierces the silence of the dark forest. He rescues a woman from a shadowy creature, only to discover that she harbors secrets of her own.
When the voices won't stop, how can you get out of your own head?
Mika Rayne was cornfed and raised in Iowa. She lived in Colorado and Louisiana for a bit, and now her home is happily in the Rocky Mountains. She loves cooking, running her cleaning business (she has the best clients ever), taking photos, reading, writing, and being a mom. '80s metal, oldies, grunge, and classical music are her favorites. Inspiration for writing is easy since nature is abundant where she lives. She writes all types of romance tropes. Mika loves her little family more than life.
I really enjoyed this one! It was such a fun ride. The mystery had me completely hooked. I had so many questions about Wolf, Cyrus, Daisy, and the parents, and the more I learned, the more I found myself speculating about what was really going on.
The story gave me The Haunting of Hill House meets Poltergeist vibes. I enjoyed the darkness, the supernatural elements, and especially the unhinged moments with these characters. The mystery definitely kept me invested.
The full-cast audiobook featuring E.M. Wylde, Cole Eubanks, Skye Lark, Will Rose, Ava Monroe, and Branden Davis-Butler was phenomenal. Everyone did such a fantastic job with the emotions, tone, and delivery. The production as a whole was so well done that I was completely immersed in the story. I was so caught up in everything happening that I didn’t even realize I was approaching the end.
And that cliffhanger! I’m not even sure how many of my questions were answered because now I have even more theories. I’m really looking forward to finding out what happens next.
I recommend this for readers who enjoy dark romance, supernatural horror, intriguing mysteries, and a little unhinged chaos.
Dark, devastating, deliciously spicy, and absolutely impossible to pause once it sinks its claws into you!
"Wolf Mountain" was about as dark, spicy, and tragic as a book can get, and once I made it through the first handful of chapters, I was HOOKED. I needed to uncover the secrets of the mountain, understand Wolf and Cyrus's past, and find out whether Wolf and Daisy's romance would ignite or spectacularly implode. There was SO MUCH happening, yet somehow Mika Rayne brought it all together beautifully. Well, almost. Because apparently Miss Mika decided to leave us dangling off a CLIFFHANGER. Ma'am. The audacity. (Glares.)
And can we talk about this narration?! With six narrators, I couldn't begin to tell you who voiced whom, but every single one delivered. Wolf's voice? SWOON. Cyrus's voice? ABSURDLY perfect. And Daisy? I absolutely loved her. This cast brought the darkness, emotion, and tension to life, making an already addictive story nearly impossible to turn off.
I cannot recommend this one enough to readers who love their romance DARK, their characters complicated, and their stories packed with secrets. But PLEASE check those trigger warnings. There are some incredibly intense, disturbing scenes that will not be for everyone. This book does not tiptoe around the darkness. It dives straight in.
📖 Wolf Mountain ✍️ Mika Rayne 🎙️ E.M. Wylde, Skye Lark, Ava Monroe, Will Rose, Cole Eubanks & Branden Davis-Butler 📅 10/31/26 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book was heartbreaking , and complicated, with so many layers. Dark romance, revenge, paranormal tones, family trauma, trauma bonding, steamy xxx, this story was truly a five star for me. We follow wolf as he navigates the ghost of his past, quite literally, while he works to take out the world’s scummiest of scum. Everything changed when he meets daisy and he’s forced to come to terms with his inner demons You’ll be laughing, crying, and saying “oh my god” in more than one way.
The end was absolutely 🤯 i definitely need another book . It surprises me the mystery the thrill 🥺🥺🥺 i absolutely love it . Definitely recommend it . Wolf was rawrrr 😍 and i finished in one go😍😍😍
Omg!!! This book was full of twist from start to finish. And the ending had me screaming and tossing my tablet then staring at a wall for 5 mins. Loved it 😈 Definitely recommend
Paranormal Serial unaliver Secret identity Wolf in sheep's clothing Touch her and die Horror Found family Single POV - 1st person
Duet multicast narration - E.M. Wylde, Skye Lark, Cole Eubanks, Will Rose, Ava Monroe, Branden Davis-Butler This casting was perfection! Each narrator performance was absolutely perfect.
Holy. Freaking. Moly. What did I just read?!?! Mike Rayne is a master in the plot twist that you won't see coming. This book is dark, emotional, scary, gory, and spicy.
Wolf is a serial unaliver who teams up with his brother to rid the world of horrible people that do terrible things. They live on Wolf Mountain, a dark, dangerous, and scary place to live. Their home has so much dark history that even they don't know or understand. When Wolf saves Daisy from one of the many horrors of wolf mountain he begins to unravel, to fall for her, to want more than his current life.
Wolf, Daisy, & Cyrus go through an extensive number of twists and craziness that ends on a cliffhanger that will have you shouting WAIT WHAT?!?!?!?! I need more of these characters in Audio ASAP!
Okay, that cover alone had me curious and with a creepy mansion, dark vibes and a full cast of narrators, I was ready to dive in!
Performed in duet by E.M. Wylde, Cole Eubanks, Skye Lark, Will Rose, Ava Monroe and Branden Davis-Butler, this audiobook has a cast that brings so much interesting accents, passion, darkness and emotion to the characters.
Wolfe the antihero hulk of a man, who had a huge heart and a deeply dark aura. Cyrus, whom I couldn’t help fall in love with his quirky character and Daisy the southern bell. The sweetest, most resilient lady with the most horrendous past.
I love when a book pulls me into its atmosphere and leaves me wanting to know what’s hiding beneath the surface and Wolf Mountain did that offering plenty of dark secrets, tension and twists! 🖤 But that ending! Mika come on!! What happened next?? I need to know…..
If you love dark romance with a gothic feel, mysterious settings and a story that keeps you guessing, this one deserves a spot on your TBR.
I made it past chapter 1. I felt like celebrating. Possibly the darkest book I have read. Not at all what I was expecting from Mika. She scared me. It is Dark Romance, gory, but most of all horror. True, crap in your pants (sorry 🤷♀️ - read the book) turn your hair white, believe in ghosts and the supernatural scary. Not sure if Wolf or Cyrus is more crazy than the other. You can feel the horror in the air when Daisy finds out what the boys are and what they have done. I was at Chapter 6 before I realized the time. Impossible to put this book down. Don’t try to read at work. I loved the ending. So many questions answered. Hopefully book 2 will be released quickly 🙏 🙏
This story is insane but so gripping you have to finish it but the ending doesn’t give satisfaction if you’re looking for HEA necessarily. It’s not super sad or anything but it is more thriller ending so it’s still a great read! It’s spicy, mysterious, and down right insane!!! If you enjoy romance and horror this is right up your alley.
This book is a sexy dark thriller romance! It leaves you guessing at every turn. The spice is 🔥! What more could you want. This book has, sexy mountain men, a curse, evil shadow spirts, creepy dolls, a haunted house, soooo much past and current trauma, serial killers, family secrets, and so much more! And in all that Mika is the queen of hilariously dark one liners! Don’t wait, add to cart now! You won’t regret it!
So good! It has everything - horror, mystery, gore, romance, WTFery, surprise endings. Everything! I can’t say enough how much I loved this book - read it now!
OMG MIKA DID IT AGAIN!! Wolf Mountain is an amazing horror sexy romance that is breath taking! I bout this in Ebook and I bought the paperback. I am obsessed with this book. How wolf, Cyrus and Daisy interact together. To the murder scenes, to the shadows in the woods. If you love a horror with a twist that isn't in a feminine kinda stance this is for you. I love this book sooo much!!
The plot twist! Damn. I didn't see it coming. This book was strange in all the best ways. I devoured it within a day. Wolf and Daisy, Cyrus and Reaper... They're all amazing. I can't wait to see what happens in Rose's book.
A serious mental darkness to a comforting love story. The longer you read, the more attatched you become to the characters. The shadows of the past are haunting enough to make you wonder how real they are. And just when you think things might get better... your heart gets ripped from your chest. But is that really the truth, or was it all just his haunted mind giving him a way out.
I feel like this story is darker than what is on the surface. I cried for way too long before I realized the mental complexity of what the main character fought with in his own head.
I love this book, but it is not for the faint of heart.
Wolf Mountain is horror, sexy, mysterious, and undeniably dark - exactly what I was craving. I’ve been deep in my dark-romance/criminal-era lately, so picking this up was inevitable, and it absolutely did not disappoint.
Two brothers live in a gothic mansion at the top of a deadly, secluded mountain. If the brutal winter doesn’t kill you, the wildlife might… and if not the wildlife, then the shadows will. These shadows aren’t just creepy - they’re deadly. They send out tentacle-like tendrils that snatch you into the forest and tear you apart. No body, no trace.
The law sees the brothers as criminals. Me? Not so much. Wolf is a serial unaliver - 302 kills when the book begins, and counting. Cyrus, the younger brother, tracks down the “victims” across multiple states and drags them back to Wolf Mountain. But they never harm innocent people. Their targets are abusers, rapists, sex traffickers, child-killers - the worst of the worst. They’re cleaning up the world in their own brutal way, and honestly, I didn’t mind.
Then Daisy enters the picture. She’s a survivor of many things, running from a past darker than the mountain itself. Even after the shadows almost kill her, she feels safer in that haunted mansion with a serial unaliver and a stalker than she ever did at home. That alone tells you everything about her trauma.
As for the horror elements? The shadows are terrifying enough, but the mansion adds its own nightmares: - voices whispering through the walls, - demonic souls trapped in china dolls that hiss and burn, - a bedroom full of taxidermied cats, - a ghost who appears at night, calls your name, sits on your chest, touches your lips, and kisses you
And that plot twist? Chills. Absolute chills. The ending left me stunned. A brutal cliffhanger - and according to the author, book two is already in the works. I NEED to know what happens to Wolf.
Dark, atmospheric, twisted, and addictive. I’m already waiting impatiently for the sequel.
HOLY SHIT! WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST LISTEN TO, WOW. What a mind fu€k this story is, the dark twisted haunted house on Wolf Mountain is haunted by shadows that won't let anyone escape the mountains especially at night and Poor WOLF (MMC) was born on that mountain & has lived there his whole life being trapped there with his crazy psycho brother CYRUS (MMC) & they have a business so to speak where they take out the human monsters to rid the world of some of it's evil. Then one day after seeing her in town, Wolf sees the woman from town DAISY(FMC) up on their mountain fighting for her life from a shadow. After saving her life he takes her to his house for her to heal but over a lil time of getting to know each other she doesn't want to leave because she doesn't want to go back to what she escaped from so Daisy ends up staying & her & Wolf grow close and become a couple.
This audiobook is Performed in Multicast Duet With the AMAZING TALENTS of E.M Wylde Cole Eubanks, Skye Lark, Will Rose, Branden Davis-Butler & Ava Monroe who all ROCK THIS STORY TO LIFE, the emotions they gave these characters were top notch as they make you feel all the feels & give you goosebumps. I definitely felt like I was right there next to the characters in the story & felt like I wouldn't be escaping the house. So if you like, paranormal, horror, spicy, Axe Murderer, dark love story with gore splashed in then LOOK NO FURTHER AS THIS PHENOMENAL STORY WILL HAVE YOU GRIPPING THE RAFTERS WHILE YOU LISTEN TO THE PHENOMENAL CAST KEEP YOU ON THE EDGE OF THIS CLIFFHANGER.
Wolf Mountain is a thrilling, captivating dark paranormal romance. Please read all content warnings and beware of the cliffhanger. Wolf Raven and his younger brother Cyrus live in the family home on Wolf Mountain. Cyrus procures their victims and Wolf takes care of them. One day in town, they meet Daisy. Wolf rescues her later that night and she stays with him. What happens when she discovers his secret? Buckle up and get ready for a very wild ride. The duet multicast performance by E.M. Wylde, Cole Eubanks, Skye Lark, Ava Monroe, Will Rose and Branden Davis-Butler was beyond extraordinary. E.M. Wylde was sensational as grumpy, obsessed, possessive, protective, caring, unhinged serial unaliver Wolf. His love for his brothers and Daisy was obvious in his voice and actions. Cole Eubanks was spectacular as dedicated, determined Cyrus and their evil, sadistic father. Skye Lark was marvelous as sweet, kind, vulnerable Daisy, obsessed Jennifer, Melinda and various ghosts. Her Southern accent was delightful. Will Rose was superb as young Wolf, Cyrus and innocent young Wren. Ava Monroe was brilliant as Maude, Clara, Tara/Penny. Brandon Davis-Butler was magnificent as Grandmother Rose and their evil, maniacal mother. Every emotion from their fear, terror, disbelief, vulnerability, uncertainty, happiness and love were all portrayed perfectly by these characters. I highly recommend listening to this audiobook. Thanks to Mika Rayne for this ALC. AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: Story 5 stars Performance 5 stars
This is the first book I’ve read in a while that is told solely from one character’s POV and my gosh it was so good! I found myself wanting to stay awake to keep reading. The suspense and sexual tension had me on the edge of my seat the entire book. I loved the premise of a haunted house with secrets, supernatural murders, and brothers trying to rid the world of evil while feeling connected and trapped on the mountain.
Wolf was a phenomenal main character. The author did a wonderful job fully developing him from his physical description to his personality. I found myself rooting for him the entire book. Daisy was a great fmc. Although I do feel like she and Wolf’s love was a little trauma bonded. I loved that they each accepted each other’s flaws.
The spice scenes were definitely spicy! Wolf is a brute of a man and the way he manhandled Daisy in the most consensual of ways was well written. With that being said, if you’re seeking a happily ever after, you will not find it in this book.
I knocked one star because the majority of the reveal happens very quickly in the last chapters of the book. I was left with a few questions that will hopefully be answered in the next installment in the series.

Wolf Mountain was such a unique blend of horror, dark romance, and paranormal suspense. Mika Rayne created an atmosphere that was creepy, unsettling, and impossible to look away from. The haunted setting and constant sense of dread had me flying through the pages because I needed to know what was lurking around the next corner.
Wolf was a fascinating morally gray character, and I loved unraveling the mystery surrounding him, his family, and the mountain itself. The story had plenty of twists, and the horror elements were genuinely eerie without sacrificing the romance.
The reason this lands at four stars instead of five is that I wanted a little more depth in a few areas, particularly with the relationships and some of the reveals. A few answers came so quickly near the end that I was left wishing they’d had a bit more room to breathe.
That said, if you love haunted houses, morally gray killers, creepy paranormal vibes, and dark romance with a healthy dose of “what did I just read?” energy, this is absolutely worth picking up. Just be prepared for an ending that will leave you desperate for more.
TLDR; A creepy, spicy trip to a mountain with far too many secrets and an unhinged brother who became my favorite.
Wolf Mountain has a creepy house, ravenous shadows, murderous brothers, and VERY spicy spice. There’s a lot of dark, disturbing material here, so definitely check the content warnings.
Daisy got on my nerves with the constant promising she wouldn’t do something, doing it anyway, and then begging for forgiveness. I did appreciate her questions, though, because I wanted answers too. Some details about Wolf’s past initially had me questioning things, but answers came as the story continued. I’m still confused about some of the mountain’s rules, and that cliffhanger left me with even more questions.
The audio was great overall, with expressive performances and consistent sound across the cast. Cole Eubanks as Cyrus was probably my favorite. He sounded completely unhinged, and I loved it. 😂 Daisy’s Southern accent did pull me out of the story quite a bit because it didn’t feel authentic to me. The delivery itself was great; that particular accent just didn’t work for me.
Thank you to Author Mika Rayne for the ALC! All thoughts are my own.
"Welcome to my nightmare. I think you're going to like it."-Alice Cooper
This read/listen was exactly like a wild carnival ride and I was questioning everything I thought I was hearing lol. The more revealed, the more questions I had. The Raven brothers are the only remaining "living" heirs on Wolf Mountain with a haunted house and cursed land full of the unknown, unnatural, and unalive. Shadows take, creepy dolls haunt, and the brothers are serial unalivers to despicable human beings. Cyrus is completely unhinged and omg Cole delivered this role in audio and I ate it up! Wolf is haunted by inner and outer demons, which EM does him justice for sure, and then we throw in Daisy, a Southern belle he saves from the shadows but ends up falling hard for her. She's full of secrets herself and everything is not quite what it seems. This is full of mystery, surprises, spice, and lol moments (yes there are plenty of times I absolutely cackled).
There are plenty of emotions to run through here and I definitely don't want to spoil anything. Beware you get left on a cliff .....so what's to come?? I'm ready for whatever it is!
Thank you Mika for the ALC! All thoughts are my own.
I received an advance listening copy (ALC) in exchange for an honest review.
If you love dark romance, horror, mystery, and suspense, Wolf Mountain is for you. And the full-cast narration? Superb. These narrators brought the characters to life and made every unsettling moment hit harder.
Now, let’s talk about the story…
Mika dropped it off the mountain. IYKYK. 👀
I’m not usually one for too much mystery, but this one had me guessing—and I guessed WRONG. “WTF?!” is the only response my brain could manage.
This is the kind of story that makes you wonder what was going through the author’s mind—in the best, most unhinged way possible. Mika, are you okay? Because after that, I’m not sure I am. 😂
I want answers, d@mmit!!!
I can only imagine how this story hits on the page, but listening to the full cast brought a whole other level to the experience. The tension, the emotion, the delivery… they pulled me right into the chaos.
And now I’m left with so many questions, not nearly enough answers, and a desperate need to talk to someone who’s finished it.
🖤📖 HAPPY RELEASE DAY TO WOLF MOUNTAIN BY MIKA RAYNE! 🐺🌕🍂
What better way to celebrate spooky season than with a paranormal horror that delivers ALL the creepy vibes?! 👻🖤
I was lucky enough to receive Wolf Mountain as an ALC, and I thoroughly enjoyed this one! From the eerie atmosphere to the unexpected twists and turns, this book had so many of the things I love in a spooky-season read! And let me tell you, that ending?! 😱🤯
The narration was absolutely TOP NOTCH! 🎧 It really brought the story to life and made the whole experience that much more immersive.
I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to listen to this one ahead of release day! There’s something so exciting about discovering a story before it makes its way into the world, and now everyone else gets to experience it too!
If paranormal horror is your thing and you’re looking for something creepy to add to your spooky-season TBR, definitely check this one out!
Wolf Mountain moves fast, in a good way. The story kept me turning pages (metaphorically of course because…audiobook), and the cursed mountain mystery stayed mysterious long enough that I genuinely couldn't guess where it was headed. The romance and spice are well balanced against the suspense, so neither crowds out the other.
The multi cast audiobook narration is fabulous. The narrator who played the brother gave him a slightly unhinged edge, with his own vigilante code of ethics, of course. It made him very interesting to listen to.
The author's newness shows at times. Several moments would have hit harder if they had been shown through action and dialogue instead of told directly, and a few emotional moments felt like they were stated rather than experienced. That's a craft issue that should sharpen with practice, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the ride.
The cliffhanger ending was well executed. It left me wanting the next book right away!!
Audiobook Cast: EM Wylde Cole Eubanks Skye Lark Will Rose Ava Monroe Branden Davis-Butler
This was a four-star book for me, but the Audiobook is FIVE STAR PLUS. Why? The entire Audiobook cast did an amazing job, but Cole Eubanks puts to plus to this rating! Wow, this was the first time I heard him, and he really brought the manic unhinged Cyrus to life -- and then some! Cole's personification of Cyrus was also a great balance to EM Wylde's bass-line Wolf Raven -- also a phenomenal performance, especially in the special grenade scene.
Skye Lark did a fantastic job with Daisy's gradual descent to "damsel in distress" to "femme fatale". I don't want to post spoilers here, but wow-- she really does come to embrace the Ravens' way of life. It is fun, empowering, and refreshing!
The entire cast did an amazing job, and I cannot recommend this audiobook highly enough for a fun, unhinged, extremely smutty adventure! Cannot wait for the next book!

✨ALC REVIEW ✨ Thank you to Production & the Author for the ALC and I am leaving this review voluntarily
You know those books you know you need to pay attention too? This is one of them. The tid bits of information dropped throughout this book makes it even better. Can you trust everyone?? Still another question that needs unfolding The cast was so great in this Spooky suspenseful take about a house on a hill. Or is it. Cole Eubanks played the role of his life. Who knew he could gave so personalities in one role. Mika wrote this with her whole soul. Great job everyone!! Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️ 🌶️ Narration: 🎙️🎙️🎙️🎙️
This book was ridiculous in the best possible ways. I found myself laughing probably harder than I should as the banter and the situations are pretty hilarious.
However, I think that is the charm of this book. That despite how extreme some of the situations are and the characters can be…I was never bored and fully engaged with the story. I especially love that there is a shift in the middle of the book that changes in the tone of the story.
If you are able to suspend your belief for a bit and just accept the world that they live in. You will have a good time.
Also shout out to Maude. She is who I aspire to be when I am an old lady.
