I kind of got mad when I reached the end and realized it was a cliffhanger, and I had to download the second part to finish the story. Despite that, I actually enjoyed the book.😛


Safety info:

- OWD: An OW tried to flirt with one of the MMCs, but he cuts off her fingers for touching him because he belongs only to the heroine.

- And the MMCs have been celibate ever since they first saw the heroine. They have shared women in the past, but they have never slept with an omega. Despite that, they don’t come across as manhoes, just experienced.

- OMD: The whole kingdom is hunting the heroine because of her scent (she’s the last omega that’s why). Essentially, whenever a beta or an alpha comes near her, they want to fuck her. Throughout the story, the MMCs protect her from this and claim her for themselves.

- No cheating.

- Ends on a HEA (you have to download the second part to finish😒)

Ok. I need to stop reading reviews before going into books unless I’m looking for something specific, because now I’m confused..There wasn’t even a bonus epilogue. So what the hell needed to be downloaded to finish the book…?🤷🏻‍♀️😂 I guess I’ll never know.

This was hot, and weird, and kind of fun.
Not my favorite from this author. But fun enough for a quick read.

Just when you think you've seen all the fairytale retellings, Alice in Wonderland is severely underused. But Lexi C. Foss takes this fairytale and whips it into a PNR omegaverse that begs for people to sit up and take notice.

In this book, we meet Ailsa Marvel, a human in a world filled with monsters, supernatural creatures and the like. It has been so ordered that anyone entering their 21st birthday should drink and elixir and it will determine if they're and omega and destined to mate with the Silver King and his 2 friends.

I absolutely devoured this book. I may or may not have left work early just so I could go home and read more. This was actually my first book by this author and I'm now adding her to my list of authors that I need to read the backlist of.

This was definitely my favorite Alice in Wonderland reimagining! It has all the madness, swirling portals, magical world, political warfare & fun characteristics of our favorite characters from Alice in Wonderland. With the added bonus of an omegaverse, with Alphas, Omegas, Betas, knotting & purring, as different species of monsters. Ailsa is a human, living in a different world/dimension, serving a terrible family of magical beings. She is overlooked often & seen as a lowly human. That is, until she is revealed as an Omega & is meant to be sent to the Silver King of Monsterland. Except Monsterland is currently serving under a false king, while the real king & his mat circle have been looking for their mate. Alisa has been dropped into a world of feral monsters that haven’t seen an Omega for hundreds of years. Alisa doesn’t understand what is happening, she’s only a human, how can she be an Omega? Not only that, but she is set to become Queen of Monsterland. I really enjoyed this storyline, there were clear nods to the fairytale, some a little more obscure but then somethings that were completely original to this book! These different aspects blended together to give an engaging read centred around the challenges faced by one omega! Ailsa a human falls headlong into Monsterland and captured by three men who offer to show her what it’s like to be cherished worshipped and loved 🥰 although they have their own reasonings for needing the mating for them nothing comes above her needs! There’s certainly a fair few things in their way but Catum, Craze, and Krolic will protect their girl from anything! Thankfully she’s also a bright sparky omega herself and isn’t afraid to step in and save their future either! And for all the OV lovers out there it does have your traditional knotting heat scenting etc and the HEA they all deserve 😃

Monsterland Mayhem was a super intoxicating Alice in Wonderland retelling with Omegaverse vibes. Ailsa, on her 21st birthday, discovers she’s a rare and coveted Omega and is whisked away by three Alpha supernaturals that claim she’s their mate.

Krolic is the rightful king to Monsterland and his best friends Catum and Craze that make up their mate circle have been waiting for the day to claim their Omega and retake their kingdom from those that stole it. Finally that day has come and Ailsa is about to find out what it means to not only be a queen but an Omega mate to three males that have waited a long time for her.

This is a RH with no MM which I appreciated. As much as I love MM, I don’t love it when a heroine is involved. Krolic, Catum and Craze worshipped Ailsa in all the ways they could and it was so hot. HOT, I tell ya. I loved Ailsa’s intelligent naivety because it felt genuine and cute. Krolic, Catum and Craze all had distinct personalities that fit well together. The banter and humor in here was impressive and I seriously loved Craze and his possessiveness. He had me laughing out loud quite a bit while also swooning. Krolic felt like a bit of a daddy to me without the actual kink and Catum felt like a praise kink Dom. The action in here was awesome and the imagery and world building was on point. The smut was on brand for Lexi and I couldn’t get enough of it.

I hope that Lexi writes more in this world because I think she did a really fantastic job at creating both a sexy and dynamic relationship on page as well as a storyline that felt fresh and addictive. Loved it.

Okay, the guys in Ailsa’s circle were so very dominant and possessive of her that they were making me bristle a bit, BUT they were also SO determined and focused on consent and making sure she was able to choose what SHE wanted to happen that they pretty quickly won me over completely 🥰🥰🥰.

Spice is pretty high and great, though not as intense as the content warnings suggested. Like, they were barely there (such as wax play or blood play). And I was disappointed some of the other omegaverse type tropes like nesting and her heat were almost an afterthought (only at the very end for like 1 chapter).

Overall, the plot was also great and kept me intensely focused! Highly recommend the audiobook as well as they have a GREAT full cast with some shiver inducing voices 😏.

But he catches her by the hip, preventing her from running. “I want to know what fruit to feed you in the morning, and now I know you enjoy cherries,” he says, clearly startling her. “I—” “I wanted to know what flowers to get you when I’ve upset you,” he goes on, cutting her off. “And now I know you like sunshine flowers, or sunflowers, as you call them. And I know what color shirt to wear tomorrow since you like purple. Those are called important details, darling. Not frivolous ones.”

“And yes, Ailsa, I did need to cut her fingers off. She touched something that belongs to my queen, which is highly fucking disrespectful and won’t be tolerated.” I blink at him. “I… I have no idea how to respond to that.” “There’s nothing to say to that,” he tells me. “I’m yours, Ailsa. Anyone who attempts to consider otherwise will meet a similar, if not worse, fate.”

“Now be a good girl and drink that hot chocolate. I think Catum may have added some special spices to it.” My brow furrows. “Special spices?” “Try it and find out,” he tells me. I rotate in my chair to meet Catum’s brown orbs. “Did you come in my drink?” He bursts out laughing and shakes his head. “Only you would ask me that, Miss Marvel.” “That’s not an answer, Master Pillar.” His lips curve upward as he shakes his head. “I’m not Craze.” 🤣

This is an Alice in Wonderland retelling with an Omegaverse twist.
Honestly I was expecting a little bit more from this author because I've loved other books by her.
Even though I was thoroughly entertained throughout the whole story, some of it seemed a little thrown together and the overuse of the word "Alas" was frustrating. All the male characters said it repeatedly so it wasn't just a personality quirk for one.
The world building is there though, with it being a monstrous version of Wonderland and the spice was on point with an Omegaverse type novel.

What a fun, steamy, and twisted Alice in Wonderland retelling! I’ve never read an Alice in Wonderland retelling before so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I loved it. I could see elements of the original tale and loved how it was twisted and retold.

This was a lot of fun and of course very spicy! It was a fast burn and I loved the characters mostly the mad matter ;)

Tropes to enjoy in this one are; omegaverse, knotting, forced proximity, why choose, praise kink, group scenes, tied up, fish out of water, chosen one vibes, and more!

OMG THIS BOOK WAS GOOD. I think I just discovered another author I'm going to be obsessing over. I absolutely loved everything about this book.

The world and story was easy to follow. I didn't know what to expect from an Alice in Wonderland retelling but I was pleasantly surprised. Once I started this book I got sucked in right away. From the very beginning there was action.

The men were everything. You know we live in a horrible world when book men who love consent and respect their woman has me on my knees. The guys were deadly, super protective, obsessed, just madly in love with Ailsa.

What I liked the most about Ailsa was how good she was at taking everything in. She got thrown into a world she knew nothing about and still fought, she ran and wasn't scared to ask questions.

Her and the guys had insane chemistry and I was rooting for them hardddd.

Omg what the hell is that cover?!? (Just saw it after reading this smutty book)

Seriously, I’m glad that I saw the cover after reading this since the white-haired guy— was that supposed to be Krolic?! Like he’s so old 😭😭😭😭 okay anyway there’s no plot whatsoever in this book and there’s no suspense no angst or anything. Everything is just insta lust and love and the plot twist isn’t really a plot twist because there was no plot build up for that twist. Mostly just smut and a bit of a retelling of Alice in the Wonderland.

I wish the Cheshire cat was one of the Alpha Circle. He’s so interesting, okay bye

Like a lot of people, I've seen a dozen live-action Alice in Wonderland films, plus I’ve read a fair number of retellings. However, oddly enough, I have never read the original, and I don't plan to. I mean, why would I when you have authors like Lexi Foss out there doing amazing things with the story? Monsterland Mayhem was glorious.


Lexi's version reminded me so much of Alice in Wonderland that I'm used to but so much more. I enjoyed the wonder and whimsy, the nonsensical wordplay, and familiar characters that all reminded me of the original, but then Lexi made it an omegaverse with an ABO dynamic, added a bit of steam, and some monsters, and made the magic even better.


This wasn't just some smut-filled omegaverse (no criticism; I love those too); this was an excellent fantasy with a great subplot. There was a coup, an imposter king, subterfuge, and that was just the tip of the iceberg. Plus, this book had some epic plot twists. I was completely blindsided and had to pick my jaw off the floor. It was that good.


With Alice in Wonderland being complex from the start and really well-known, I think it makes it that much harder to turn it into a retelling. Lexi has done an outstanding job creating something new but familiar. I enjoyed Monsterland Mayhem to the fullest.

I love plot with my monster smut, and this book delivers. it's also VERY big on consent. Monsterland is a twisted Wonderland/Candyland world. so the story also has some whimsy. really, this book is full of everything..

our FMC: Alisa is very sheltered. naive. and a virgin. finds out she's an Omega and all of Monsterland wants to breed her.
our MMCs are very Knotty 🤭
Krolic: Wolf shifter.. protective Daddy vibes
Catum: Shadowdaddy. magical tattooed 🍆
Craze: 💀🃏 the groups "enforcer". wields magical cards.
a wonderful menagerie that aim to please their Omega Goddess.

the only issue I had was It could have used a bit more spice throughout.. I mean, Craze has a Jacobs ladder pierced 🍆 and it's barely mentioned and utilized.. the few scenes are definitely 🥵🤤high heat..
but I'd put the spice scale at 🌶️🌶️🌶️

I also don't know what people are talking about that. there was a cliffhanger and they needed to download something.. I have the beautiful special edition with colored chapter art and sprayed edges.. highly recommend for collectors.

Lexi gives us a smexy Wonderland retelling with more than a few twists in this standalone book! Ailsa has to drink an elixir on her 21rst birthday to see if she's a unique being, an omega. Once this is established, she is whisked away by the wolf she calls Beast to Monsterland where she meets Craze and Catum and becomes entwined with them all in trying to retake the throne and become mates on the way to their hard earned HEA. Dive into this beautifully written book with complex characters and plot twists that keep you turning pages throughout. I loved reading this story and highly recommend it! Don't miss out on this book!!

I received this book as an ARC. This was a short and steamy omegaverse novel that had a fast-paced romance and plot. I love how all the men had distinct personalities, but were a perfect cohesive unit. I don’t think I could pick a favorite if I tried… they all had their moments. I thought the way that Alice in Wonderland influenced the story were done in a very refreshing way. I can’t be the only one curious about the relationship between Alice, Ches, and Tav right??? Hopefully we get a story there someday 🤞🏻

3.5 stars: This was an interesting take on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. It is rather fast paced, but I suppose that it is to be expected when the elements of mates is concerned. The gentlemen here actually did want to provide the FMC with time and choice, which to an extent they did.
Overall, this was an enjoyable story to follow as this slight retelling throws you in a magical world, where nothing is as it seems.

Loved it. The way the author does her version of Alice in Wonderland is so cool. I really enjoyed the omegaverse twist to it. I'm glad everything happens the way it did but I think Heart got off a little too easily. Great read.

I love Lexi’s books! Told from all POV, this is a bit of chaos. A spin off of Alice in Wonderland, it definitely challenged my ADHD. I would classify it as a medium burn, fast paced crazy romance. Love the instant connection the alpha’s have. This book felt a bit rushed, like it could have been longer due to the storyline. I am not sure if I will read the others in the series or not.
