About the author

Kathryn Jane

Award winning author, Kathryn Jane is known for rising to a challenge, whether it’s getting her pilot’s license, facing down cancer, training cantankerous horses or writing that first novel.

Her personal tales of adventure include misplacing a Thoroughbred filly in a 747 at thirty thousand feet, planning the evacuation of over fifty horses in the path of an approaching wildfire, and being volunteered to represent her peers in a public speaking venue.

In the novels she writes, Kathryn keeps her heroines busy surviving life threatening adventures, or soul searching personal journeys, while they are doggedly determined to not fall in love with men they really don’t need. Think modern-day knights, and reluctant, self-sufficient damsels.

In spite of ridiculous odds, every story has a happy ending, with both halves of a couple coming to terms with love and all its complications.

Kathryn lives in a cozy cottage in the Pacific Northwest with a pair of tuxedo cats, and a faithful dog to keep the man of her dreams company as she writes page turning, steamy tales of love, mystery, and adventure.

TOUCH ME, INTREPID WOMEN, KATHRYN JANE
Review from jeannie zelos book reviews
I hadn't realised there was an earlier book, but that not a problem as although this is a series, they are standalone books around a theme, not a group of people. Telepathy and other mental abilities are always intriguing so I thought I'd enjoy this book.
Well, I did..and then again I didn't...The telepathy/mental abilities part was perfect and worked well with the plot set out. What I had problems with was the multitude of characters who seemed to be one person, and then another. I was lost, not knowing who to trust, not understanding what was happening or had happened to Grace, and not understanding what it was she actually wanted. Like Logan I'd have said “enough” at that point too.... I felt there were so many overlaying plots, added to the special abilities and groups looking in to them, that I just couldn't keep up well with the story. The whole who was related to whom issue got confusing for me, and took away from the plot to rescue the children. I kept flicking back to see just where each person fitted...I got there in the end, and enjoyed the book but it was too tortourous with keep checking back for me to fully enjoy it more than a one off OK read. That just me though, I'm sure there will be others from whom this is a perfect read. I feel it worked better as a thriller than as a raomnce, I didn't really feel that conncetion between Grace and Logan, a physical arttraction but no more than that.
Stars: Three.

Touch Me by Kathryn Jane
Intrepid Women Series Book Two
Detective Logan is in the middle of a situation when a woman appears in the line of danger. He goes to remove her and that's the start of things. This woman doesn't make anything easy for Logan. Drop-dead gorgeous...yet, drives him crazy.

Grace Taylor has a past to forget...but she also never dealt with it. Ever since she met Logan, her life has been tougher. Having to face the things she's avoided facing. And having to fight her attraction.

The past has taken away her ability to trust anyone but herself. Logan feels the need to protect her. Two magnets pushing against each other. Great story!

Touch Me review

Touch Me is the incredible second romantic suspense book (with a touch of paranormal) in the Intrepid Women series written by author Kathryn Jane.

Loved the plot but it seems to lack chemistry and I had a harder time finishing this book. It wasn’t terrible but wasn’t anything that really kept my attention

Touch Me!

This was a great read and I was impressed with how much they were able to work together to save the girls. We need more done.

Kathryn Jane's writing is tops!

I've added a new author to my favourite authors list. Intrigue throughout the book kept me turning the pages without stopping.

Title: Touch Me

Series: Intrepid Women Book #2
Author: Kathryn Jane

Genre: Romance, Fantasy, Paranormal

Blurb: Telepathic abilities are a bitch and a blessing.

Shattered by the murder of her father, Grace has lost her passion for life, and swears she’ll never dance again. But a telepathic connection with a stranger sparks feelings, fears, and memories she can’t escape.

From the first moment Agent Logan hears Grace’s “touch me” in his head, he knows he can’t walk away from her cry for help. But reaching the intriguing woman who’s buried her feelings and abilities beneath an impenetrable armor requires all his gifts, and then some.

Will unveiling the secrets buried in Grace’s mind allow her to live again, find love, and dance? Or will a forgotten promise cost her everything?

Thoughts: I’m always up for anything steeped in the paranormal, and with the whole telepathic gift I figured this one would be perfect. The book was very intriguing a definitely kept you reading. I can’t say what it was that had me feeling a little ‘off’ about this one – the easiest way is to just say that it seemed a little scattered for me. I was unaware that this was part of series when I grabbed it, but that didn’t play a role in my feeling of the book. It was easily a stand alone. The vibe just felt off to me and it didn’t really read like a paranormal romance.

Touch Me is a complex, terrifying, amazing, and wonderful not to be missed novel of love, suspense, psychic senses, true evil and the battle against that evil.

This is the second of the Intrepid Women series that I have read. Having fallen in love with Daring to Love from the recently released collection, Love on the Edge, I was really excited to win a copy of Touch Me during a release party contests! Never did I imaging that I could possible love this one at least as much and maybe a bit more! Thank you so much Kathryn Jane for my copy of this book, but even more for introducing me to the amazing characters.

This is another one of those novels that for any other site would be a 5 star review but at Goodreads I compare each book to the best I have ever read. This one will surely move up once I have read it a couple more times.

Great book, hard to put down
At first I wasn’t sure about the book, but after the first chapter I couldn’t put it down. It’s a story about Grace who was miserable but meets Logan who also has telepathic abilities and life suddenly changes. The two of them go back over her past and adventure that changes everything. A little bit of everything in the story; love, friendship, loss, hope.

I was given this book to read for judging in a contest but it doesn’t have anything to do to with me review. It was an awesome book.

Logan and Grace have telepatheic abilities. She calls for him and he responds in trying to help her heal. She has so much pain and he is very drawn to her. Not much to this one. Not sure about it. It did not grab me. I guess it is not my kind of book.

I've read 2 other books in this series and enjoyed both. For some reason, I had a harder time getting through this one and connecting to the characters. Partially, I think there were just too many characters to keep track of who was who. Hopefully the next one will be better.
