This question has run on a loop in Kate’s mind ever since John, a fellow CIA officer and the man she loves, stopped checking in with his team. He’s been working deep cover with the Sanguinario cartel in Sinaloa, Mexico, and has never missed a check-in until six days, eight hours, and thirty minutes ago.
Where are you, John?
Kate and her team need to find John and extract him, but is there a bigger play in motion? One that could bring a big win for the agency . . . or backfire and put them all in the hands of the cartel whose name means “bloodthirsty.”
Oh my goodness! I have LOVED, LOVED, LOVED every one of these books in this amazing series! They are the perfect balance of intrigue, clean romance, suspense, and strong, likeable characters! Is this the end of the series? I think so but the author does leave it open enough to continue or branch out. I think it’s perfect just the way it is. I hope she continues writing in the same style but starts something new with new characters and a new storyline. I would 100% read more!
As usual, Amy Martinsen has given us suspense, love and nail biting moments. She freely showed her faith in God and His love and care for us. Please keep these books coming!!
Really, 3.8 stars. The story is good, just not quite four stars for me. This is a short read, only 165 pages. Lots of suspense about what the covert operation entails. Just not my first choice of themes.
