Reading this story was an interesting experience. I listened to the audiobook while reading it, and maybe it's because the narration was done by ai, but there didn't seem to be any real emotions in it. Everything was so matter of fact and detached. I tried reading it without the narration, and it was the same. It was so strange.
Anyway, the buildup to the two MCs realizing that they were in love with each other wasn't romatic, and the story just sort of ends once they got together. There was a short epilogue, but it didn't make up for how incredibly rushed the ending was. I don't know what else to say, other than that this will probably be the most forgettable story I read this year. 😬 2 stars
update #1 to specify: the author confirmed the cover "art" is AI generated. do whatever you may with this info, or not.
i wish to add that AI "art" is unethical and considered stealing/theft which i do not support, therefore this author/book is on my "problematic-and/or-AI" shelf.
update #2: i've just found out all of this author's audiobooks are labeled AI "virtual voice"... plus they have some AI translations as well...
i'm just gonna leaving here some thought-provoking sentiments shared by others (including readers & authors) that i totally agree with regarding AI in the bookish world: 📣 "why would i waste my time and energy on a book that no one else bothered with to take their time and energy to write and create" 📣 "authors using AI for their cover is such hypocrisy - AI "art" is piracy! it's just as problematic as plagiarism and book piracy!" 📣 "if the cover is made with AI why should i assume the writing isn't as well. AI covers are red flags🚩" 📣 "AI translations are disrespectful to whole cultures, besides often unintelligible and like a world salad so with these bad translations native readers who buy them are also financially ripped off (often bc KU or such services aren't available in their countries)" 📣 "AI audiobooks are unethical & disrespectful to real voice actors/narrators" 📣 #supportrealartists #supporthumancreativity
[ if anyone notices me reading a book that had any "help" from AI (be that the cover "art", the writing itself, the audiobook, the translation, anything..) *please* feel free to warn me!♡ i try my best to avoid any AI content but i'm only human & sometimes it's easy to miss unfortunately.. ]
Desmond went to Moonstar Dating Agency to find a mate. He didn't expect it to be his fighting rival Chasen. When an accident happens, things change for them both.
This is a great start to a new series with a different take on shifters and fated mates, an interesting new world and a gritty and intense storyline. Desmond and Chasen are intriguing characters with a lot to prove to each other and the rest of the world. They have a rivalry even though they have never met but once they do meet they both deny the instant attraction that they feel. Chasen will never be able to do what he wants while he lets his controlling and domineering father make decisions for him. Desmond has been fighting his whole life to protect himself and his sister Melody. Once Chasen and Desmond start to get to know each other they become friends and over time something even more. In spite of everything going on in their lives they develop strong feelings for each other but they have some difficult issues to deal with if they want to be together. The secondary characters are great and I love the relationships Desmond has with his sister and his trainer Benjamin. The ending is perfect and I can't wait to read the next book in this exciting new series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This is a really fantastic MM shifter romance with an “enemies to lovers” undertone that certainly kept my attention from beginning to end. The characters are quite well-developed and react with believable emotions to the situations that they find themselves in. The plot is well-written & entertaining with some unexpected events. There is: a male omega championship fighter (Desmond) is not too impressed about being maneuvered in a training partnership with a extremely disliked alpha opponent (Chasen) then the situation changes as the attractions flare, twists & turns, some suspense, action, conflict, violence, threats, rivalry, longings, confrontation, a challenge, injuries, manipulations, disagreements, compromises, strange attractions, heat issues, decisions, determination, contentment, happiness, some steam & a well-deserved, satisfying epilogue. I enjoyed reading this MM shifter romance and would recommend it.
Loved it! This was an enemies to lovers trope and I really enjoyed the story and its characters. The story hooks you from the very start and I read this one in one sitting. This was a really sweet and fun story about two people from two different worlds. Chasen is a champion fighter and comes from a rich and well respected family. Having a mate was never in the plans for him and neither was falling in love, until a feisty-stubborn omega crosses his path and challenges him in a fight. Chasen tells himself he just likes to get a rise out of the hot headed omega, when really he wants way more than that. The longer they spend together, the harder it gets to fight their desires but there just may be more than their pride standing in the way
There is something very appealing about Ashe Moon's writing. I've been fed up with Omegas and mpreg for a while but I can't resist some dipping into mpreg universe as long as it's done by authors I like. Ashe Moon happens to be of the the few for me nowadays. I'm always up for the stories where seemingly physically week character exhibit more metal strength and skill than their physically challenging counterparts. Romance was quite sweet, though somewhat predictable. I liked both characters and their struggle to prove themselves to their own families and own selves, so that part was a total success with me. The ending was super-sweet, so what can I say? I really, really liked this story.
Desmond is an up and coming fighter finds that the number one fighter Chasen annoys him. Omega Desmond Vance is a rising star of the Clash of Fighters Championships finds that the current champion alpha Chasen Broadcote annoys him with what he says about him and his trainer. He ends up getting into a private fight but Chasen breaks the bones in his hand and goes to hospital. Desmond is shocked to see the number on the door to Chasen's room is 3-57 as this was the clue given to him by the Moonstar Dating Agency to find his fated mate. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
hmmm i really enjoyed the beginning, but it felt so rushed at the end ;-; there was lots of tension and build up, but not lots of lovey dovey moments 3
chasen was my fave !! i felt sad that desmond broke his hand and also that his dad was such an asshole!! desmond was a wild one, but i understood why he needed to act more abrasive than others. he had a point to prove.
i wish there was more about their relationship. it was glossed over and ended very abruptly. also, if jax wasn't a trained fighter, why did chasen ask desmond? he didnt have an attraction to him then? that part felt a little off. i wish they were forced to hang out together for another reason.
I loved character development here. theme of taking back your autonomy and right to choose for yourself hit close to my heart. I'm so proud and happy for Chasen and Rain that they stood up for themselves. Desmond also gone through his feelings and became more honest with his feelings. romantic relationship was also there, although i'd like a bit more chapters showing them together. i mean after they started dating. and i didn't expect pregnancy but was pleasantly surprised by it. i think it's what made me rate he book 5 stars. it was solid 4 stars entire time, but pregnant omegas are my weakness.
Fighting rivals and fated mates bring this story to life. Chasen and Desmond bring fists and fangs and lots of sexiness here as we watch the romance unfold. Once, not only rivals but a little bit enemies, too, it seems which only makes the situation sweeter when the fated mates reality is revealed. The way all arrows pointed to this was fun. Once the passion was ignited the relationship was wild. Really strong characters and a really entertaining story gives a wonderful read. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
Great Enemies to Lovers. This was a great enemies to lovers book. It was well written and full of everything. I loved this book from start to finish. I really loved that bada** Omega Desmond. I tend to love a strong Omega and he was that. The chemistry was off the chart with these two. I was a well written story and I just loved Chasen and Desmond. They both got their fated mates and a very good HEA. Totally recommend this book. I was given this book by the author to voluntarily read it for an honest review.
Just loved this book that packed in alot in its pages. Love the enemies to lovers theme, the string omega and alpha , wes and chasen you cant but fall for. The moon dating agency a great hook for the story. Side characters you love to love and some you love to hate. Set in the fighting world dominated by alphas , wes the up and coming omega champion takes on arch enemy chasen.. you have to read it from here people. Enjoy, I certainly loved this freebie that I got in exchange for an honest review.
I thought that the blurb was misleading when it says that Desmond had a problem with beating up his partners in a relationship. He never did that, and wasn't in any way abusive.
I found it intersecting that Chasen was so incredibly cowed by his father. How much abuse and conditioning must his father have inflicted over the years to bring that about?
The competitive nature of both Chasen and Desmond made for a delightful story. I liked that they challenged each other to be better and learned that there is strength in being with your mate
This book had a great world that I'd like to read more about. The story was quite short and I have to say quite lacking as well. I totally understood Desmond, but Chasen was all over the place. He didn't understand love and didn't care, but he was persuading Rain to leave him and go against her family when he was doing exactly the same as she was?? Ohhh and then he realized he actually wanted to go against his family too?? And then he suddenly realized he always wanted to sleep with Desmond?? And then he loves him?? Sure, dude. I totally believe you.
Unfortunately this book wasn’t quite as enjoyable as I’d hoped it would be. The synopsis sounded interesting, so I was looking forward to an enemies-to-lovers romance between two championship fighters, but there just wasn’t enough romance IMO. The romance didn’t really start until 75% into the book, and once it finally started there were so much happening at once and it felt really rushed. That being said, I liked the author’s writing style and I did overall like the romance – I just wanted more.
I can’t believe this story had so much potential but it was such a let down towards the end. The moon star dating agency did not play any role in bringing them together it was just forced there in the story. They just came together organically and got together. There was so much potential with the rivalry to be a great romance but it was kind of abrupt towards the end.I was so looking forward to this book but was disappointed.

I enjoyed reading this. There was good back story and character development but the ending just felt rushed and not true to the characters. Although I did enjoy the overall outcome of the ending it pretty much just jumped to an epilogue without anymore real detail. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I can't go into detail but there was room for more.
The world of fighting was so realistic that it made you feel you were part of it. When Desmond and Chase finally found the serial side. Both had thoughts and desires they were afraid to acknowledge. Mainly Desmond even though even everything the psychic had given him to look for and he found them. The new baby and mated couple owned their school and were bound for success and happiness.
THE MOONSTAR DATING AGENCY is in the hands of Omega Kole. His ability is spot on. Desmond is an Omega champion. Chasen is the number one CFC reigning Alpha champion. These two meet with fists of fury. Fate has them right where they want them. ASHE MOON gives passion, drive and hard won happiness. I loved these two. Great combination. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THE MOONSTAR DATING AGENCY SERIES!!!!!!!!!!
This one was just ok. I'm not really a huge MMA fan, so the fighting part of this story really didn't appeal to me, which was a problem because this story was very fight-heavy. Neither did the personalities of the two MCs, but they got better as the story went along. It irked me that they seemed to just stumble into love with each other within the last 10% of the book. I probably should have just skipped this one TBH but I wanted to give it a try.
Fated Mates and Family Greats Meet Omega Offspring Dates
When the undefeated Omega CFC champion learns after challenging the longstanding Alpha CFC champion to a special match that the rich Alpha who teaches in his family's historical fighting academy is his fated mate and everything changes as their history as rivals becomes more entwined with family as enemy's become friends and lovers who teach together.
This was a fantastic, fast paced, grab-you-by-the-feels, exciting, amazing, fascinating, intense, action packed, incredible, smoking hot, powerful, and totally awesome twist on your average omegaverse fated mates/enemies-to-lovers storyline. I was hooked from beginning to end, and can't wait to see what happens next in this intriguing new series.
Desmond and Chasen were rivals until they met and had a match that didn't end well. This book was really great as it had everything! The action, angst and the hot times at the gym made for a good read. There were no loose ends and it was wrapped up with a bow! I enjoyed this story and you will too! " I received this ARC and I'm leaving a honest review."
This isn't your usual shifter romance. We have Omegas and Alphas, but not like I have ever read about them before. This Omega fighter is seriously going to make this Alpha pay for his smart mouth! Read for the laughs, hot, intelligent MCs, and a world I want to come back to.♥️
