A magical murder mystery with a little bit of ex-wife drama, and a whole lot of fated love...Brigette loved the little shop she’d inherited from her grandmother. If you want to find something to help you with your spells or to top off your witchy supplies, her store is the place to go.
She had a great life, even if she missed her grandmother and mom so much it hurt as they traveled around the world on cruises. She definitely didn’t need a mate. Why would she want to take the chance on a person who could choose to leave her because they wouldn’t feel the same pull a witch did? She was just fine babysitting her grandmother’s familiar, Mortimer.

And then witches started dying. No, not dying… murdered.
Who could have guessed the mate she didn’t want would step into her shop ready to ask her questions about the murders? The tall, dark, and handsome detective wasn’t going to get to her. Even if he seemed perfect.

Logan is a detective. He has a case where a witch was murdered. He knows about witches because his mother is one, and he asks her about the most powerful witches in the area, Bridgette being the most powerful one. He goes to meet her to ask some questions and he’s smitten with Bridgette since then.
Bridgette is a very powerful witch that has an occultism shop. She’s terrified of her fated mate because her grandmother and mother got their hearts broken by theirs, so she has many walls around her heart. Still she’s a kind and very sweet woman.
There’s mystery and murders, and a lot of sexy times too.
It’s a good book that keeps you engaged until the end.

- Virgin h. H celibate nearly a year. He was married for three years, and divorced for 6 months (she cheated). He was with the ex for 6 years and said it wasn’t really love, that it was a mistake because they weren’t meant to be.
- OW drama with the ex and ex's friend.

This was such a fun, spooky mystery. Bridgette owns an occult shop, and she's noticed things aren't white right lately. What she shakes off as random encounters become something far more sinister.
Logan is a detective, and he happens to meet Bridgette while working a case. When she becomes involved in it, things are much more complicated than either of them expected. A serial killer hunting witches, and learning about a mate bond have them on their toes.
This was such a fun read, super sweet, and just the right amount of spooky.

What an absolutely amazing and brilliantly written book. The pace was fantastic and kept me fully engaged throughout. I loved Bridgette's bad ass, but sweet nature and Logan was super yummy! I adored the whole magic murder mystery suspense and the sëxý times were hot!
A definite re-read for me and highly recommended to anyone x

I loved this book and I've after reading it I went and downloaded Ms Sullins other series to read next!
This book was sweet and cosy and just makes you feel good in the same way Christmas movies do. No massive drama filled middle of the book breakups. Actual communication between the couple, which was a welcome change of pace to other romance books I've recently read. The plot is interesting and keeps you guessing, although I was shouting at them ignoring the cat constantly! I loved all the characters, they were all well written and I'm hoping Shayla gets her book next.
This book does have some spice, not loads but I'd say the right amount for this book. If you're looking for a mega steamy book, this isn't it. If you're looking for a fun, happy book that has an interesting story and at least some spice then this is perfect! I'd say its 🌶🌶/5 for spice.

This is my favorite R. Sullins book so far (still working my way through her books). It's full of magic, mystery, and spice! This is a book you want to keep on reading until the end!

i like it a lot but i wish the author didn't keep the suspense towards the end. its a bit fast paced i don't mind that but we didn't find out about the killer until the end. there was no clue, nothing. out of nowhere boom! but who is she again?
also i have a hard time believing Bridgette is a powerful witch because there is no indication that she is although they mentioned it a few times. she was so clueless the whole time about the blade and other stuff.
lastlyyyyy, i wish Logan would stop calling her little witch. a few times, cool. but on repeat? stoooooop! i like you Logan but mygoodness stop it.

A fun witchy murder mystery! It has been a highly anticipated release for me. And it did not disappoint The main characters Brigette and Logan are very well written and they pair well together. Brigette owns an occult shop and is wary of love. Logan's mother is a witch and directs him in Brigettes direction because she is so powerful. But love will find a way! And through a series of events the two can't resist the draw they feel.

Logan is a detective with a case of a murdered witch to solve, and his mother points him in Bridgettes direction. She feared for love after what it did to her mother and grandmother but meeting Logan changes everything but can they solve the case together, and with trouble from his ex wife! Well written engaging, mystery, suspense, witches, murder and more!

This is a romantic mystery with a touch of sweetness.
I thought that Logan was a strong character, with a drive to solve cases and set things right. Bridgette is a good person, who is very strong magically. The attraction between them is intense, powerful and oh so very hot!
This is a very good read that had multiple elements mixed together that kept the plot fresh and interesting.

eeek I adored this book so much!
there's something about fated mates romance that just gets me every time! I love how protective Logan is, even though Bridgette is a bad a$$ and can handle herself.

The author has given us an older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Bridgette and Logan. The magical story keeps us turning the pages with suspense, connection, denial, realizations and steam.

Every time he called her “little witch,” I wanted to retch—62 times, to be exact. That’s a lot of nausea. 🤮
I would have enjoyed this book much more without that. The story itself wasn’t bad at all, but I was completely distracted from what could have been a solid read for me.

Logan is the local detective trying to solve a recent murder of a witch. With a limited understanding of their practices, he seeks the help of Bridgette, the town's local occult shop owner and the most powerful witch in town. Bridgette wants nothing to do with men, especially after the way men had treated her grandmother and mother, but she can't help but feel a pull towards Logan. With more murders happening and with the chance that Bridgette might be next, they work together to solve this case and develop more than a work relationship.
I needed this book. I've been in such a slump lately and nothing was keeping my interest. Not this book! I started it before bed and got to finish it at 4. I couldn't put it down. I like Bridgette, she is a bad*ss but doesn't act like it. Logan is your alpha male with a sweet side. They are awesome together. I really enjoyed the plot, it was easy to follow and very entertaining. I like the ending where you get a glimpse of how this book might tie into the demons within series. Overall great read!!
