I fell in love with historical romances and all things Regency—and especially all those dashing Regency heroes—while living in England, where I spent most of my time studying the Romantic poets, reading Jane Austen, and getting lost all over the English countryside.
When I read my first Regency romance in 2012, I was hooked and longed to create my own independent and spirited heroines and dashing heroes. The best part of writing historical romances is falling into history—to live in the world of Regency England through my characters, with dazzling balls, beautiful dresses, and gorgeous houses that I would otherwise never be able to experience. I love the period’s rich history and find that all those rules of etiquette and propriety can be worked to the heroine’s advantage…if she’s daring enough to seize her dreams.
In addition to earning my degrees in the U.S., I have studied theatre in London, Mexican history in Guadalajara, and Spanish in Ecuador. I am an avid traveler and have enjoyed visiting schools and volunteering with children's organizations in Peru, Ecuador, Thailand, and Mexico, and I have amassed thousands of photos I unleash on unsuspecting friends who dare to ask about my travels.
I love to be outdoors! I've been hiking in Alaska, the Andes, and the Alps, including one week spent dangling off the via ferrata in the Italian Dolomites, and I love whitewater rafting (when I don't fall in!). I earned my pilot’s license at Chicago Midway (To all the controllers in Chicago Center—I greatly apologize for every problem I caused for you and Southwest Airlines), and it is my dream to one-day fly in a hot-air balloon over Africa.
I adore all things chocolate, shamelessly dive into ice cream of any flavor, and guzzle Kona coffee by the gallon. A Doctor Who fanatic (everyone says my house is bigger on the inside), I am a terrible cook who hopes to one day use my oven for something other than shoe storage. When I'm not writing, I like to spend my time trying not to kill the innocent rose bushes in my garden.
Lady Sophie Winter fell in love with the second son, Seamus (Shay) Douglas, and he with her. Years later, an accident and a fire changes the future for Shay, he becomes the Duke of Malvern. After five years hearing nothing from Shay, Sophie is marrying another man, but Shay stops the wedding. The contract negotiated by her grandmother and his father years before states she marry the Duke of Malvern. At twenty-two, Sophie marries Shay, but he's not the same man she knew before, or is he? A threat from his uncle puts Shay and Sophie's marriage and the dukedom in jeopardy. It's a test for the strength of their marriage. Harrington writes a gripping love story with angst, jealousy, fear, anger and hope for a happy ending. Descriptive sex. I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book from NetGalley.
This historical romance is part of a series that revolves around a group of friends, so it's easy to read them separately. The hero this time is badly scarred and has shut himself away until someone from his past needs him to step forward. Our heroine was betrothed as a child, but the man died, so she is free to marry who she chooses.
Her life is about to be turned upside down. There is danger and adventure ahead for her as well as a very emotional time. The story kept me interested all the way through. The characters are strong and loving with a lot of history between them. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
Thank you #NetGalley for the advanced copy of #TheDukesOnlyDesire by Anna Harrington in exchange for an honest review.
Ms. Harrington does a great job of blending romance and mystery. Her books are plot heavy but the character development doesn't suffer for it which makes me very happy. If you like mutual pining, friends to lovers, a scarred hero, with some mystery/danger thrown in, this is the book for you. I am anxiously awaiting the final book in this series because the others have been very well done.
I loved ❤️ this book's storyline. Parts of this story was sad 😔. I loved ❤️ the hot 🔥 & steamy scenes. I loved ❤️ Sophie's character. I loved ❤️ Shay's character. My heart broke 💔 for Shay. I loved ❤️ the ending. Awesome job Ms. Harrington.
Wow, just wow. This was such a good story. I could not put down. I loved the action, suspense, & romance. The twists were so good. I think this might be the best of the series.
If you are as fond of a scarred hero and a second chances love story as much as I am, this is an amazing book for you. The story is about Sophie and Shay, who find their way to happiness, despite inner and outer turmoil in their lives. The writing is fantastic and very engaging and there is just the right spiciness to the novel. It kept my attention from start to finish and was very original, with no tried and true or tired angles to it.
I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley. This is my honest review of the book I simply loved.
This is only my 13th book by Anna Harrington. I read her Secret Life of Scoundrels series back in 2021 and then picked up her Capturing the Carlisles series. Both were very good. I have really liked book 1 and 2 in this series a lot and looking forward to this book and more.
This book is a great example of why I don’t read book descriptions anymore. Had I read it before starting I would already know what was going to happen in the first couple of chapters and I feel that would have taken away some of the surprise. Instead I had no idea what was happening. Makes for such a better read and I feel you are more invested in the story, not knowing.
I loved Sophie and Shay. I loved this storyline. I loved their story, their chemistry, their personalities. Just a great read. I couldn't put it down. I am adding this book to my favorite books read list for Feb, 2025. I am really liking this author.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book, provided by Dragonblade Publishing via Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own. A tortured, scarred hero in penance and a sunny heroine feature in “The Duke’s Only Desire”, by Anna Harrington, a story about pain, grief and redemption. I liked the characters and their relationship and romance: the honest communication between them, the trust, the fondness, passion and sensuality. The romance has sweet and heartwarming scenes. It developed pretty quickly. There are also a lot of sex scenes. Initally Shay sees himself as a monster, a beast, and is resigned to a life of loneliness and penance, but with Sophie’s encouragement, empathy and compassion regains some hope and confidence. I liked that the scars exposure didn’t take that long with Sophie. I felt Shay’s guilt and the intrigue plotline were a bit repetitive.
Sophie and Shay meet when Sophie is 12 and her aunt visits Shay’s father, the duke of Malvern, to broker a marriage agreement between Sophie and the duke’s heir, Shay’s elder brother John. John is a cruel man, insults the young girl but Shay stands up to him to protect her. They start corresponding and develop feelings, but of course they can never marry; she’s promised to John. But at the night before the wedding, John and Shay get into a fight and John eventually dies in a barn fire. Shay blames himself, is overcome with guilt, so he pushes Sophie away and doesn’t want to talk to her anymore. Of course she is hurt but later you understand that he didn’t felt he was deserving of her. Five years later she’s about to get engaged to another man but Shay finds out and lays claim to her and marries her the next day. Sophie initially is hurt but I liked that she immediately took charge and demanded answers. She didn’t took no for an answer and learns the man she was supposed to marry, is also a horrible man. So she recognizes the old Shay behind his mask of rejection and indifference and guilt; the once who cared for her. I liked that she immediately decides to fight for her marriage. She starts by seducing him but winning his heart is an altogether different battle. The speed in which these two get physical was a bit off putting to me, especially since Shay was trying to keep Sophie emotionally at arm’s length. And I think the amount of spice was too much. Both Sophie and Shay slowly grow closer, even more after the arrival of a villain. He makes it even more necessary to close ranks and fight for everything that is dear to them. I liked that Sophie kept proving to Shay that he was a good guy, kept communicating with him and never gave up on him. Shay really was a good guy; he might have been hurt but he was always taking care of Sophie. This was not only a love story but a big part of the book was their fight against the villain. This is a fast paced book with a emotionally and physically scarred hero, a fierce and loving heroine, lots of twists, turns and problems to overcome and of course a happily ever after. Thank you Netgalley and Dragonblade Publishing for providing an advanced copy of this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed it; all thoughts and opinions are my own. . .

This book was a little bit of a surprise for this series because it veered off from the formula of the previous two books, which is partly why I liked it so much more. I especially liked how these two characters had a well-developed backstory that spanned many years. Although I was not a fan of the way Shay went about saving Sophie from what would have surely been a miserable engagement/marriage, I was glad that he was able to convince her and her father that a marriage to him was the better choice. The truth was that Shay was far too insecure to approach Sophie in a more traditional (less a-hole) way for fear that she would reject him. One of my favorite parts was Sophie's relationship with Miss Danvies - it was nice to see her develop a supportive female friendship. And without Miss Danvies who knows how long it would have taken our two main characters to really start communicating with one another. I wouldn't mind a short story of the romance between Miss Danvies and Mr. Cross that is hinted at in the epilogue here. There is, of course, a villain looking to take out our hero which adds an additional obstacle for the main couple. I actually liked how that part ended up playing out, especially due to the fact that Sophie had the chance to start to fight back before having Shay swoop in to the rescue. I always appreciate a heroine who doesn't sit around waiting to be saved. There are a few quick scenes/mentions of the characters introduced in the previous books which worked well because their stories didn't quite fit in with the events of this book. But it was a nice to reminded that they were all there for one another when they were needed the most. This book was more in line with what I have come to expect from Anna Harrington. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!
Fierce passion and tender hearts are the driving forces of The Duke’s Only Desire for a beautiful and memorable story!
Horribly disfigured in a fire that took his older brother's life, Seamus "Shay" Douglass, the Duke of Malvern was a recluse. When circumstances dictated that he take a bride he did so reluctantly, as he was deeply conflicted because his bride was the woman he had always secretly loved and never could have and who he felt he did not deserve. Shay was a quiet broody hero with a huge noble streak. His devotion and silent suffering were heartbreaking to watch.
Lady Sophie Winter had long resigned herself to being a pawn in her family's ambitions and financial woes. Her beauty and kindness made her a catch even as those very same traits made her vulnerable to less than honorable intentions. Her persistence and gentleness were such that not only did she win over Shay but everyone she came in contact with.
As this story unfolded so did the barriers that Shay had put up around him leaving readers with a beautiful love story. The love and reverence shared between Shay and Sophia was rare and totally encompassing. Theirs was a once in a lifetime bond that was inescapable. As to be expected with this author there were ample amounts of drama and suspense keeping this work lively and readers on their toes.
Anna Harrington's affinity for hard fought true love shines in her works. This author consistently manages to subtly include the hardships and inequalities of women in the time period she is depicting without detracting from the love stories she is writing. Ms. Harrington's skill at entwining great suspense into her romances always makes for an exceptional reading experience. The Duke's Only Desire showed that love is so much more than skin deep and proved it again and again for a lovely story that will touch reader’s hearts.
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.* *While this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone."
I really enjoyed this captivating "Beauty and the Beast" story with the added scarred hero, marriage of convenience and forbidden love tropes. The very well-written plot is emotional and filled with heart-warming moments, a villain, intrigue, blackmail, suspense and spicy love scenes. Shay and Sophie are endearing characters who have been in love before, but circumstances have kept them apart. The chemistry between them and their feelings were palpable and I loved how they supported and loved each other despite all their difficulties and insecurities.
Sophie Winter was promised by contract to the heir of the Duke of Malvern as a child, but it was not John but his brother Seamus "Shay" Douglass with whom she fell in love, but John died on the eve of their wedding and Shay broke off contact with her. Shay never wanted to become the Duke of Malvern, but a quarrel between him and his brother John over Sophie, with whom he was secretly in love, escalated, resulting in John's death and Shay's disfigurement. Since then he has blamed himself for his brother's death and lives a life as a recluse on his country estate in Yorkshire. Years later, when Shay learns that Sophie is about to marry a dangerous fortune hunter, he intervenes and uses the old contract to force her to marry him in order to protect her. He plans to have a marriage of convenience with her, because Sophie is his desire, his weakness and the living proof of his guilt. And then there's his scheming uncle, who publicly accuses him of murdering his brother in order to strip him of his title...
I‘m happy to recommend this captivating read and look forward to Chase‘s story!
I received a free ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and left voluntarily.
Sophie's marriage to the Duke of Malvern has been arranged for years, but in the lead up to the wedding, it's clear that the one she wants is not Malvern, but instead his younger brother, Shay. The feelings are far from unrequited, and while both of them have no way of breaking the contract that binds Sophie to his brother, Shay makes it clear to Malvern that he will not tolerate Malvern hurting Sophie. The day before the wedding, the brothers fight and it ends in a fire that kills Malvern, and leaves Shay horribly scarred and reeling from the guilt of his brother's death (granted, his brother was no peach). Five years later, Sophie is newly engaged when Shay arrives to tell her that the contract signed years ago didn't specify which Duke of Malvern, and he now holds the title. Once the two are married, they face plotting family members, self-loathing, and a barrage of other issues, but the love they had for each other years ago still burns bright.
This was so much fun, and deserves so many cheers for avoiding defaulting to silly misunderstandings that separate Sophie and Shay. Their problems are very real but once on the same page, they work together to find solutions. I'm a big fan of romances that let the couples actually take on their external issues together rather than being forced apart by the narrative. Shay is such a good hero because while he is troubled from the fire, he is never cruel to Sophie or the people around him. It's easy to understand why Sophie fell for him and continued to love him despite his disappearance from her life for so long.

Author Anna Harrington creates a dramatic intense love story of redemption.
Sophie Winter’s character has a very interesting chain of events. Forced into a marriage contract when she was twelve years old that ended in tragedy now years later, she is ready to marry someone she doesn’t love but hopes she’ll come to love. Her life is filled with trauma and sadness, and she just wants peace. I admire the author’s way of making this come across the pages with ease. I felt her sadness and the loss of her real love, Shay, along with everything she desired for her future life. What I didn’t get from her character was a sense of despair but a woman who decided what her life would like in the future she picked.
Shay Douglass decided on the eve of her marriage announcement to take Sophie as his wife and enforce the clever marriage contract her grandma brokered even though he doesn’t feel he deserves her. Bravo Shay for finally stepping forward after 10 years.
Shay and Sophie take the reader on a merry chase with this love story that doesn’t want to be a love story. The events in this storyline show the readers that true love always tries to persevere despite all the odds against it. I was extremely satisfied with the ending, and I look forward to hearing if other readers feel the same way.
I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
This captivating romance begins with a forbidden love, a tragic twist, and a hero burdened by guilt and rumors of murder. Shay Douglass, the tormented second son turned reluctant Duke of Malvern, returns from a decade of self-imposed exile to claim a title—and a woman—he believes were never truly his to have. Meanwhile, Sophie, once betrothed to his late brother, has built a life without Shay, one she is determined to protect, even if it means denying the love they once shared. The chemistry between Sophie and Shay simmers from their first re-encounter, but this isn't a tale of simple rekindling—it's about redemption, forgiveness, and the emotional scars that love alone may not be enough to heal. The past looms large, particularly the mystery surrounding the fire and John’s death, adding a layer of suspense that kept me turning pages late into the night. Sophie is a resilient heroine—wounded but not weak—and Shay, while brooding and battle-worn, never veers into being irredeemable. Their forced marriage sets the stage for some deliciously angsty scenes, and if you are a fan of the “marriage of convenience” trope, you will not be disappointed. The themes of trust and emotional healing are beautifully handled. If you love brooding second-chance romances steeped in scandal, secrets, and sizzling tension, then this book certainly delivers! I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing and am voluntarily leaving my review.
The Duke's Only Desire is the third book in The Dukes of Darkness series.
Shay Douglas is the second son of the Duke of Malvern and secretly in love with his brother's betrothed, Lady Sophie Winter. Desperate to stop his brother from marrying Sophie, they get into a fight. John who is drunk passes out on the ground and Shay leaves him lying there. As he walks away, he looks back to he sees the building has caught fire and races back to save his brother only to collapse from the smoke.
Ten years later, Sophie is about to marry a man she believes is a good man. Before the announcement can be made at the party, Shay arrives to claim Sophie as his bride. According to the iron clad contract made by her grandmother, Sophie is to marry the Duke of Malvern. The agreement does name John or Shay, just the title. If she does not go through with it, her family has to pay a large sum to get out of it. Sophie's father does not have the money, so Sophie must marry Shay.
Shay feels guilt over his brother's death and claims this will be a marriage in name only. Sophie will have to find a way to get through to Shay to help him get past his guilt and scars.
This was a fun story to read. The characters were strong and likeable. It is a wonderful addition to the series.

Lady Sophie Winter and Shay Douglass fell in love the moment they met. Yet she was contracted for marriage to his older brother John, and, as a second son, Shay had been destined for a soldier's life. When a tragic fire kills John, Shay disappears, refusing to see Sophie again. Shay has been accused of murdering his own brother to claim the dukedom—and his brother's fiancée—for himself. Yet ten years later, on the night that Sophie plans to announce her engagement, Shay returns to enforce the old marriage contract that weds her to the Duke of Malvern...to him. Forced unwillingly into a marriage to the man who irreparably shattered her heart, Sophie must find a way to finally exorcise the ghosts of their pasts and heal the scars that still torture both of them, or forever end all hope for love. Another great book in this series. I enjoyed seeing how this romance played out and thought that the transition from their wedding day to their return to love was well delivered. It was refreshing to not agonise for endless chapters over their differences. Shay and Sophie are two wonderful characters, and their love for each other is obvious. I look forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Lady Sophie Winter was betrothal to John Douglass who was the heir to the Dukedom of Malvern. When he dies in a tragic fire she believes the contract is no longer valid.
Shay Douglass is the second son of the Duke of Malvern and brother of John Douglass. He is secretly in love with Sophie and blames himself for the death of his brother.
When Sophie is about to make a big mistake by marrying a fortune hunter, Shay enforces the marriage contract stating that she is to marry the Duke of Malvern which is him. Sophie is not happy that Shay has come back into her life since she believes he abandoned her after the fire. Shay does not feel that he deserves to have a happy marriage but is determined to save Sophie. Will they both be able to move from the past to embrace a future together?
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book!! It was such an emotional roller coaster with all the twists and turns before Sophie and Shay got to their happily ever after. I liked both Sophie and Shay’s characters and really felt what they were going through in their journey together. The secondary characters were absolutely wonderful and really added to the story. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next book in the series!!
This book was great. I loved both of our lead characters. Our Duke of darkness is created around his own trauma and whispers around his past. But one thing was alway true, Sophie has always loved him. Honestly I wish the previous books had MFC like her I would have enjoyed them so much more, I was not going to read more by this author after this book because of the previous two books in this series but if this is the type of book she is capable of I’m am going to have to dig into her back catalogue. It was angst, romantic, the mystery/drama was good and I loved that their was no third act break up. They dealt with the issue together! The steam was good too but they were just so loving to one another. His denial of his love of her was so sweet. Sir, you kept tabs to keep her safe all these years and still thought that you could love her? Poppycock. And I loved his valet to. I want him to have the happiest of ending. The only thing I wish really ended differently was the ending with Ms. Cole, I wanted her to return. Thank you NetGalley and to the publisher for the Arc in exchange for my honest opinion.
Thank you NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for an ARC of this novel. All opinions are honest and my own.
Wow! Anna Harrington does it again!
This gives you everything you want in a historical romance. Not only do we get a truly Tortured hero (I’m talking tortured with a capital T), but we also get steam, villains, and a plot that keeps you turning the pages long after you should be asleep.
This is the third book in The Dukes of Darkness series - however each focuses on a different couple and can be read as standalone. We do get some cameos from previous (and future) main characters, and I’m so excited to read the next book in this series… and fully prepared for Harrington to rip my heart out with it.

Anna Harrington's "The Duke’s Only Desire" is a delightful Regency romance that earns a resounding 5 stars. This novel captivates from the very first page with its compelling plot, intricately woven with themes of love, secrets, and passion. Harrington masterfully crafts her characters, particularly the enigmatic Duke and the spirited heroine, whose chemistry ignites the pages.
The narrative flows smoothly with a perfect blend of witty dialogues, emotional depth, and unexpected twists that keep readers eagerly turning pages. Harrington's attention to historical detail immerses you in the Regency era, enhancing the authenticity of the setting and making the story all the more engaging.
"The Duke’s Only Desire" is a testament to Harrington's prowess in the romance genre, beautifully balancing romance with a touch of mystery. It’s a must-read for fans of historical romance who appreciate strong character development and a plot that tugs at the heartstrings. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enchanting and heartfelt read.
Lady Sophie Winter and Seamus Douglass met when she was only twelve. When she was contracted for marriage to his older brother John, and, as a second son, Shay had been destined for a soldier's life. Then a tragic fire changed everything. Shay retreated to his isolated estate a scarred and broken man, determined to live out the rest of his days in self-exile and never see Sophie again. Five years after the fire & on the night that Sophie plans to announce her engagement, Shay returns to enforce the old marriage contract that weds her to the Duke of Malvern...to him. The third book in the series & it’s easily read on its own. I loved both Shay & Sophie & loved their rocky journey to a HEA, there’s plenty of angst but throughout it all their love is constant even if he fights it. I loved the chemistry between them & how their relationship grew & deepened. A very well written book with strong characters, a well paced story, some adventure & danger, I thoroughly enjoyed it I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own
When Sophie was twelve, her grandmother contracted her to eventually marry the Duke of Malvern. When the duke dies in a fire the night before the wedding, Sophie considers herself free of the contract. On the night of her engagement ball, Shay, now the duke, shows up to claim her. He is now the Duke of Malvern and considers the marriage contract valid. Scarred from the fire that killed his brother, Shay wants to save her from an unhappy marriage. The two had been writing each other for 10 years as Shay was fighting in the wars so they already had a connection. Their happiness is achieved early in the story so much of the book is the happily married couple thwarting the evil uncle who wants to take the Dukedom for himself. I enjoyed the first two books more than this one, but I recommend the series and am looking forward to the next book. I received an ARC of this title from the publisher via NetGalley for an honest review.
This has been an amazing series so far and if anything this romance is even more enticing as Shay and Lady Sophie battle with their desires while searching out the truth about the death of Shay's brother. The suspense that winds its way through the plot keeps one on tenterhooks, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Fortunately, Shay has friends who are closer than brothers to him, and with their help more than one plot is uncovered, finally bringing about justice for a vile perpetrator, while Shay and Sophie get exactly what they deserve. I love the main characters in this novel, the attraction that grew into friendship over a number of years, and the connection that held them together in spite of the horrifying death of Shay's brother. I received a copy of this well-written and suspenseful novel as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This book was a mix of highs and lows for me. On one hand, the romance between Sophie and Shay had some really tender moments, and I enjoyed the exploration of guilt, redemption, and fighting for happiness. The characters had depth, and their journey felt genuine in many ways.
However, the story leaned heavily into drama—almost too much for my taste. Every time things seemed to settle, another crisis appeared, which made the pacing feel a bit uneven. While I appreciate emotional intensity, it sometimes felt like the characters were drowning in conflict without much room to breathe.
The writing itself was solid, and the romantic tension was well done, but the overload of dramatic twists made it hard for me to fully immerse myself in the story. It’s not a bad book by any means—it has some great moments—but it didn’t completely win me over. Decent, but not unforgettable. I'm giving it 3 ⭐.
Sophie from the age of 12 was meant to marry the heir of the Duke of Malvern . But when she met the heir John and his younger brother Shay the younger brother was the one who was polite and friendly to her . After a terrible accident and the Duke's death now Shay is the Duke of Malvern and because he is covered with burn scars he has no desire to marry Sophie , When Sophie is getting engaged he appears and demand they marry or he will have to bankrupt her father . Even though he loves her he blames himshelf for the death of his brother so their marriage will be only in name . Sophie at first is angry with him but she realises that he loves her and will do everything to heals his scars that run into his soul and together they will fight his enemies . I received this book from netgalley , the author and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .
I loved the first half of this book. She was engaged to his brother, our MCs sent letters to each other instead, it turned into this Beauty and the Beast situation. Lots of pining, lots of yearning. It was melodramatic, but in a fun way!
I was even ready for forgive the fact that we never got any of those letters on-page (a crime, tbh). And that our heroine, though extremely likable, was being the “I’m a Cool Mom” version of a duchess (which I was kinda rolling my eyes at).
But then the second half of the book went in an evil uncle, impending court case direction. And I just didn’t care enough about it. A lot of my favourite romance plot elements felt ‘settled’ at that point and the story started to drag, for me. Plus there was a detail about the ending that wasn’t my fav.
I received this book as an ARC and these thoughts are all mine.
This is the third instalment in Anna Harrington’s Dukes of Darkness series, but can be read as a standalone.
The Duke’s Only Desire follows the story of Shay and Sophie, who fell in love when they were younger but Sophie was promised to Shay’s brother. This is a period marriage of convenience story and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Sophie was such a strong character, she knew what she wanted and treated everyone with such kindness and respect, regardless of their status. Shay carried so much guilt and shame, and really thought of himself as beast undeserving of love. Sophie never gave up on Shay and showed him what he really was. I was rooting for them the entire time I was reading!
This was another hit, and I can’t wait to see what Anna Harrington comes out with next!
Thank you to NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for the ARC! All opinions are my own.
