I could not put this book down. I have been a homemaker for 52 years and wish I had this book from the beginning. I often do not read the opening sections, but I loved getting know Beth’s background and from the A Few Ground Rules through How to Use this Book it’s not the usual boring step by step. The recipes are easy to follow, the notes are vital to the success of the recipes and I drooled my way through the entire book! The cherry on top is the Menu Plans section at the end, which brings everything together!
First thing I’m going to try is Beth’s way of making Hasselback Potatoes.

I really appreciate the tips! While there aren’t many recipes I would personally make, the book’s design, photos, and information are absolutely amazing.
