First off, the cover is fantastic. Reminded me a bit of something from Clive Barker’s NightBreed. Ash Ericmore sometimes loses himself in the more superficial aspects of extreme horror, which only works a portion of the time. He forgets to add in proper context and flow, resulting in predictable and mediocre outings. Other times, he nails it and I felt that way here. The beginning was a little nastier and grittier, but it eventually turned into something akin to Bedazzled. Lots of playful banter between Damien and Katie as they reigned down a horrendous number of acts to people who deserved such harm. Tons of gore and body horror, but, again, a fair amount of humor worked in, I had a really nice time here. Made me want to eat spaghetti for some odd reason, too. Any input on this? Any mental health professionals out there willing to take a stab?

Am I biased because I just love Ash Ericmore, maybe but there are reasons, his work is top tier.
I am not gonna lie I was on edge of my seat a few times.
I love Damien and Katie how they are together. Ugh I'm gonna read this again!

I can’t tell you how thrilled I am over this read and how much I really fucking enjoyed this book.
Just a little backstory from myself, I was 14 when it happened to me and his name was Gary too and reading this gave me so much pleasure and closure it’s unreal.
Damien, his poor soul. He just wanted to live and be happy with his dearest Tracy but his manhood got stripped away on that one foul night. It was Gary.
But one day his guiding demon came to save the day and her name was Katie.
Damien craved revenge with the help from a strange woman but soon enough he didn’t need to anymore.
I’m going to be raving about this book for many years in the far future.
It’s a MUST READ.

Firstly thank you so much to Ash Ericmore for gifting me the audible code for this & so many of his amazing books! I’m absolutely loving going into them all blind & coming out as equally blind after scrubbing my eyeballs 🤣👏🏼
Secondly, I am struggling on how to give an outline of this one without giving to much away, so their is a quick scenario from the very first chapter below, if you don’t want any spoilers then stop reading now ☺️
Damien was abused in the worse way, being failed by the justice system he’s lonely, depressed & desperate. He’s crying out for help from anyone who can help him get his revenge. He doesn’t realise his pleading to swap his soul to the devil would actually work! Katy has been summoned…
So imagine you’re doing the deed & all of a sudden you feel a sharp pain, blood starts pouring & arms start coming out of your 👀 followed by a fully grown woman ‘Katy’…yeah that’s the vibes 🤣😱
Now for the fun part! Revenge! 👏🏼
Omg I loved Katy!! She was so funny 🤣 I say this every time I read an Ericmore book but the dry British humour just gets me!! I giggle the whole way through his reads 😅
I totally got behind the revenge in this! It was very well done, Damien needed it & Katy helped him so much. But I did not see the ending coming at all!! Are we getting more after birth? 👀👏🏼

More often than not, I go into an Ericmore book blind because I know I'll enjoy it. He hasn't failed to entertain me thus far and I highly doubt I'll ever be disappointed in any book he writes. After Birth absolutely did not disappoint.
It's typical Ericmore with no holds barred brutality and gore. The kneecap scene made me queasy! The first chapter, Yikes!
It has his signature dark humor, that makes me wonder exactly what is wrong with me when I chuckle along with the characters.

Damien suffers an extremely upsetting abuse that leaves him wanting revenge. Little does he know his request will be granted by a demon Katie.
Once again Ash does it again and makes a bloody fantastic book to add to his collection. This had me cheering Damien and Katie on, wishing them the best in the murderous encounters. I love how he made me feel so close to Damien to then rip my heart out at the end. It was a surprise twist that a thoroughly enjoyed but also upset me a bit 😂

It started as any other night for Damien and his girlfriend Tracy, walking home after a few drinks at the local club. Intoxicated and ready to settle in for the night he would usher them down the alley that would shave off a few minutes from their walk home and open the worst night of his life. As Tracy begins alerting him to them being followed, he never expected four men to corner and begin a horrific assault into him. As one held Tracy, Gary would force his way into Damien and rape him multiple times as he was relentless kicked and punched into submission. Violated and traumatized, Damien has lived the last two decades in fear and hatred, until he began practicing into dark magic and the possibilities it could bring. A demon would be born from the flesh of an innocent woman, leaving this monster to amass a human identity before arriving at Damien’s door. Katie, disguised as a beautiful young woman, would help guide Damien through revenge by slaughtering and torturing the same men that stole so much of him back in 2003. Creativity and depravity would clash together as the men responsible would be tortured. Leon, Peter, Ralph and Gary would meet grisly ends as the need for revenge grew ever stronger for Damien. As they closed in on Gary and left him horribly disfigured before his death, Damien understood the real price to pay for his pound of flesh was his body and soul in return. An absolutely amazing read which does not hold back, from the very first chapter this book is filled to the brim with the descriptive gore, spice and humour that make ash ericmore a legend in his own right, once you start reading you won't want to put this book down!!! 😁

First off, that was the best entrance of a main character I've ever seen. I always know I'm going to get some really good/unique torture/kills when it comes to Ash and I'm here for it.
This is a revenge story but our main character gets some help from someone. I loved how these two characters had a weird connection and interacted with each other.
If you are looking for a revenge story with a lot of blood and guts this is for you.

Conjuring up a demon from hell to torment the men who raped you? ✨️Iconic✨️ I also appreciate the fact the victim is a man; I could see this be very therapheutical for men who have gone through the same and want to live out the fantasy of revenge through this.
I love the paranormal part, it really adds to the already amazing revenge plot. As always with Ericmore: amazingly written. And this one being quite heartfelt!

If there's one thing you can guarantee with Ash Ericmore it's that he will make you laugh as you puke and then leave you in tears.
A spin on the classic "rape and revenge" this one was incredible and it brought a lump to my throat at the end.
Beautifully written solid gore and amazing characters if you havnt read this do it now.

What you see.
This book really makes you not want to pick on the wrong person. Some people can not let it go if you are attacked. Even if I hate someone for what they did to me I could not get revenge. Please read this book and you will see the real side of evil.

Loved it!
I really enjoyed this story, it had humor, it had vengeance, it had, dare I say it... romance! I found the story entertaining from beginning to end and recommend it to any fan of extreme horror or splatterpunk!

Obscene extreme horror, splattered with very British and very low-brow humour and woven into a supernatural revenge story with shades of Return of the Living a Dead Part III and The Crow.
