Basket Case: The Novel

Rate this book
Duane and Belial are brothers with a dark secret and a sinister agenda...
Born as conjoined twins and subjected to an unwanted separation as adolescents, years later Duane and Belial embark on a plan to seek vengeance on the surgeons and nurses that separated them. As Duane carries his brother around New York City in a large wicker basket, he visits their medical offices to issue very special post-surgery updates that blindside their victims. And Belial doesn’t play nice. When the basket opens, he wastes no time in settling the score.

An expansive novelization and love letter to the cult classic film. The novel builds on its source material by adding depth to the characters, salacious side stories, and over-the-top violence -- all written by Munoz with wicked exuberance.

Un bon roman qui détaille bien le livre en y apportant plus de profondeur aux personnages. Belial y est dépeint plus humain dans sa monstruosité, ses vices le rapprochent de la dépravation humaine.

Gross. Just gross. If you thought the movie was exploitation this novelization is way worse. Captured gritty NYC of the time well. But just gross.
