I’m a pawn in my junkie mother’s game with the Russians, but it’s also put my siblings in their sights. Now I’m putting my nursing skills to work for them, including keeping alive the giant biker they have chained up. He manages to tell me he belongs to the Devil’s Soldiers MC, and despite the risk, I know I need to help him. And when the Russians threaten my siblings, I have to make a choice. Do I trust him and his club, or do I run and hope that helping him escape isn’t the biggest mistake I’ve ever made?
I’ve been betrayed and I aim to find out who it is, but first I have to figure out a way to get out of here. Away from the Russians that are taking great pleasure in having me chained and at their mercy. The only thing keeping me alive is her. My blue-scrubbed angel that gives me just enough relief to keep going. But when she risks everything to help me escape, I know I can’t let her go. I just need to convince her to give me a real shot once we deal with the Russians and find the traitors hiding out amongst us. Good thing I’ve learned what not to do from all my other club brothers in the process.
The final installment of the Devil’s Soldiers MC series! Loyalties are being tested, and no one will expect the twists and turns about to come their way.
*This series has a continuing story arc that moves through each book. It is highly recommended that you start reading at book 1, The Devil's Goddess for the best reading enjoyment.
I live in New Brunswick, Canada with my husband and our two dogs, Remi and Sako (pronounced Say-co). When I’m not writing, I’m playing fetch with the dogs, talking to my parents for endless amounts of hours, annoying the crap out of my husband, or just enjoying life with my friends. Writing has been a part of my life since I was about 12. I started out just writing short stories or silly knock-offs of my favorite shows or movies. Soon, though, I realized just how much I loved to write. How often my mind would wander and think of characters and where they could go. They became real to me, and I would start to write. I used to fill up notebooks and pads of paper when I got an idea. It would be an obsession, almost, to get on paper. Then, when I was old enough to have a computer, I started there. Now, I’m 28 years old and I finally hit that button. The one that I’ve thought about it over and over again for the past 16 years. There is no greater joy, or fear, at realizing you’ve just accomplished something that you’ve wanted to do for so very long. That is my greatest accomplishment and I look forward to hitting that button on many more.
The last book in The Devils Soldiers series and Emily Rose has finished it on a high.
Hulk by name and Hulk by stature, despite his size he has been kidnapped and is being tortured - literally - by the Russians and although he's hoping his brother's come for him, he knows there's a chance they could be too late.
In comes Avery, an angel in blue scrubs who has a story on her own and it's not a good one! Her darling mother has sold her and her siblings out for drugs and when they realise Avery is a nurse, she becomes even more appealing for them.
There's danger, violence and twists as well as humour, unwavering made family loyalty, spice and a group of characters that you want more off!
I'm sad to see the end but I'm also excited for what comes next!! 3.75/4
SUMMARY: Avery Clarke is a pawn in her junkie mother’s game with the Russians, but it’s also put her siblings in their sights. Now she's putting her nursing skills to work for them, including keeping alive the giant biker they have chained up. He manages to tell her he belongs to the Devil’s Soldiers MC, and despite the risk, she knows she needs to help him. Does she trust him and his club, or does she run and hope that helping him escape isn’t the biggest mistake she's ever made? Away from the Russians that are taking great pleasure in having him chained and at their mercy. The only thing keeping him alive is her. His blue-scrubbed angel that gives him just enough relief to keep going. But when she risks everything to help him escape, he knows he can’t let her go. REVIEW: The Devil's Escape is the seventh and final book in Emily Rose's Devil's Soldiers MC series that concludes by picking up where the The Devil's Conflict left off with Hulk having been taken by the Russians and the rest of the MC scrambling to find him. Avery Clarke has been forced to work with the Russian Mafia all because her junkie mother owe them money and they have been threatening her siblings just to make sure she obeyed. Hulk has been tortured within an inch of his life when his blue-scrubbed angel comes to give him the relief he needs to keep going. When Avery meets Hulk for the first time in the cell that the Russians had him in was an intense moment as she was being forced to heal him just enough to keep him alive for them to torture again for information. Avery is tired of working for the Russians and wants to keep her siblings safe so when Hulk tells her about the Devil's Soldiers MC she takes the risk by telling them she will help them get Hulk if they promise to keep her siblings safe.
I laughed so much the moment that Avery was in the supermarket with her brother Sawyer and sister Isla trying to get some food to eat which ended up with Isla and Sawyer scaring an older woman with their sassy responses that also happen to catch the attention of two of the Devil's Soldiers brothers. After the fire fight between the Devil's Soldiers and the Russians with the Misfits MC it was such a surprising moment to find out that Silver a Misfits MC member is an undercover FBI agent and that their brother Cryos was also an undercover FBI agent that betrayed their trust which had me upset as the MC was devastated. Emily Rose delivered a slow burn, found family contemporary motorcycle club romance that had me from start to finish with suspense action and some very spicy scenes. This was a wonderful conclusion to the Devil's Soldiers MC series that tied up the whole problem with Russians from the first book though I'm sad to say bye to these characters. Though there was a note from the author that said it is possible there might be novellas for the remaining brothers of the Devil's Soldiers which I would love to read.
Well Emily you did it again. So sad that Hulk and Avery's story will be the last for this series. Now folks if you haven't read any of the Devil's Soldier MC books it is highly recommended to start at the beginning of the series you will not be disappointed. Emily has a way to suck you in with her characters and story line. One minute you are laughing next you are crying and then you become so angry you want to through your kindle/book or yelling at the characters.
You have Hulk that has been kidnapped by the Russians but someone has betrayed him and had a hand in handing him over to the enemy. He is being tortured for information about his club but he won't say a word.
Avery becomes Hulk's angel in blue. She is a nurse that is being threatened to work for the Russians thanks to a debt that is not of her making. Avery tries to everything possible to keep Hulk alive while he is with the Russians but she can't figure out a way to help him until Hulk was able to give her a very vague message and she still wasn't sure as she had the most important people in her life to try and keep safe from the Russians. She doesn't know if she can trust the DSMC but she is running out of options.
Chances are taken and the club with the help of Avery are able to rescue Hulk. They know that this is going to cause the Russians to retaliate and come down hard on them. Tension is running high You have a club that is having a hard time figuring out who has become a trader when they thought they had already dealt with the trader and everyone else was good but they also have a Allied Club in thier club house but don't know if one of them is the trader.
Can the Devil Soldiers neutralize the threat before anyone gets hurt? Can the figure out who the trader or traders are before everything explodes open. Will the club have to call in other allies to help them survive? Can Hulk and Avery have a HEA or will this be too much for Hulk's angel and she runs to keep her and her family safe?
Come join the crazy group of badass men and women of the Devils Soldiers you will not be disappointed. Happy Reading!
I have been reading about the Devils Soldiers from the very beginning and I was hooked from book one right through to this book which is the 7th in the series and the very last one. I’ve got to admit I have mixed feelings about this being the end of their journey, because although I’ve been riveted throughout and desperate to see what happened next, I won’t be able to read about them anymore and so I’ll need to find another series to consume instead. Unfortunately I can’t even move on to the Dragons (who feature at the end of this book) as I’ve already read (and loved) all of those too.
The thing I loved about this series in particular was without a doubt the “Old Ladies” and children of the club, don’t get me wrong all of the men featured in the books have exactly what you’re looking for in a book boyfriend (not a term I ever thought I’d use lol). They’re growly, alpha male protectors who are absolutely and completely devoted to their women, (well not withstanding a few hiccups along the way, after all they need to be occasionally taught the error of their ways) which would be enough to make anyone swoon. But the women of the club, well they’re just something else entirely, while the men may be protective and strong, the women also have strength, strength of character and also occasionally completely badass (*cough* Rose) the things they go through would be difficult for anyone to face but they come through it stronger than ever. And the mischief? Well that just makes the story even better!
This book is all about Avery, a nurse who is taking care of her teenage siblings, and Hulk the mammoth sized heartthrob who has been kidnapped by the Russians. I won’t spoil the story for you but you should absolutely check it out. Although each book can technically be read as a standalone for the best experience you should read them in order as the main plot of each book carries on throughout the entire series.
🔥BOOK REVIEW: The Devil’s Escape by Emily Rose – A Perfectly Explosive Finale🔥
It is with a heavy heart and immense admiration that I turned the final page of The Devil’s Escape, the breathtaking conclusion to Emily Rose’s Devil’s Soldiers series. Without a doubt, this is one of the most gripping and unforgettable MC romance series I’ve read in years—an epic ride of danger, loyalty, heartbreak, and love that has held me hostage from the very beginning.
Emily Rose doesn't just close the door on this world—she blows it off its hinges. The Devil’s Escape delivers more jaw-dropping twists, betrayals, and tension than you can imagine. Loyalties are pushed to the edge, hearts are put on the line, and the stakes have never been higher. This is not just a finale—it’s a culmination of everything that has made this series legendary.
We were left gasping at the end of the last book with the shocking reveal that Hulk would be the final Devil to get his story. Trapped in Russia, betrayed by an unknown enemy, Hulk’s situation is dire. Enter Avery—trapped in her own hell, forced to keep Hulk alive as a nurse under their control. The slow-burn chemistry between them is perfection, simmering with tension, trust issues, and undeniable connection.
Emily Rose’s storytelling is, once again, flawless. The pacing is relentless, the emotional depth is raw, and the Devil’s Soldiers MC family shines as fiercely and loyally as ever. Every character, every arc, every relationship has been a piece of a puzzle that comes together beautifully here.
While each book delivers a satisfying HEA, this is a series that must be read in order to fully experience the interconnected brilliance—starting with The Devil’s Goddess.
As I mourn the end of this phenomenal series, I can only hope Emily Rose has more up her sleeve. If The Devil’s Soldiers is any indication, her next series will be just as addictive.
5 explosive stars. A must-read for MC romance lovers. 📚 Start with Book 1 and thank me later.
A few years ago I happened on a book by Emily Rose. I’ll be honest, the blurb for the book and probably the cover, she has great covers, pulled me in. I have never been so happy about that little twist of fate because this woman quickly became a “go to” author for me. I have read every book she’s written and enjoyed them all! Her continuing series books are among the best out there, they just suck you in and before you know it, you’re invested in their little community. The Devil’s Soldiers MC series has been amazing, I’ve loved reading about all these folks and enjoying their stories. Ms. Rose writes so vividly and her characters draw you in and have you laughing at their goofiness…and trust me, a lot of them are pretty goofy…and also feeling their pain and sorrow. I’ve wanted Hulk’s story for a long time and I’m thrilled that this special man ended up with an equally special lady. Not gonna lie, I laughed a lot at the craziness of some of these guys and gals, but I also feel very sad for this saga to end. In the book overview on Amazon there is an asterisk at the end * This series has a continuing story arc that moves through each book. It is highly recommended that you start reading at book 1, The Devil's Goddess for the best reading enjoyment. That’s absolutely the truth. You need to read every book in this series. I think once you read the first one you’ll be compelled to continue because they’re that good! Hulk’s story gives us closure, but I’m going to keep hoping that there’s still so many more stories to be told about this fantastic group of folks…I mean Macy hasn’t achieved world, or at least club, domination yet! Thanks for the amazing story, Ms. Rose, Hulk was worth the wait!
Have you ever had a song from your favorite band grab you the first time you heard it? It never gets airplay, never on any Spotify or iTunes streaming lists. You go to the band's next concert resigned to not hearing this song played live? Then, the first song they play is THAT song?? Epic, right?!? This book is that - EPIC (it bears repeating). I knew starting Hulk and Avery's story it was going to be emotional as this is the final book of this series. What I didn't know was the MORE the author would include. I digress (I may do this a few more times because - EPIC and I promised to not spoil it)!
Hulk meets Avery at a time things are not looking up for him. Frankly, her life isn't looking like a rose garden either. She is there to patch him up and he is there being tortured. Avery and her twin teen siblings run into other Devil's Soldiers members and she takes a chance that they will help her. That's all I am comfortable saying about this story other then it ends in a good place. Just know that there is action, laughter, tears from laugher and emotions overflowing, wreaking justice and generally pissing off bad guys. I admit, my wanted to step into the story and throw punches myself. I was worried that tying up loose ends of the series might overshadow Hulk and Avery's story. For me, it didn't because Hulk and Avery were strong individually but could become the next Bullet and Rose of Devil's Soldiers MC.
I don't think you should read this book as a standalone. Its the end of the series and lot is wrapped up but it leaves an opening for next generation series!
I was honored to get an ARC (advanced reader copy) of Hulk and this is an honest review.
cant believe the series has now finished and what a ride it has been the drama action love laughter many different characters points of view into the the bad guys which I can say I enjoyed that as without books you inly get the pov of the people who are the leading man and lady which I only read pov books but with Emily's books you had the main people plus the bad guys and even a few from the other characters.
avery and hulk books has you grip from the start Avery is a nurse who thanks to her mother is in the sights of the Russian bravtra and is trying to keep her and her brother and sister safe but after meeting Hulk who is in the bravtra hands learns about the mc but can she trust them after a few unrelated meeting with a few members takes a chance and with their help is she able to rescue her siblings her and hulk and help the mc get rid of the theft. sadly there are losses and betrayal that will hang over each member and their families for years to come but new friendships and love will help build a future of hopefully peace and growth. in this book the twist and turns with have you so in depth you won't be able to put it down and you won't see if coming and would of never guess 😉 5 stars don't seem enough. I recommend this series and her other series especially the ink series as characters from that series are mentioned thoughout this series

We pick up were Hulk was taken and how they were treating. They bring in a nurse (Avery) to take care of him for them so that he doesn't die and that they can keep torturing him to get the info that they need A couple of the MC brothers met Avery in a store (not knowing who she is at that time) when her little brother and sister decide to play a joke on her with one of the customers in the store. Avery goes one night to help Hulk and he tells her who he is and what MC he belongs to. Things happen that makes Avery send her siblings to the MC and she has them give them some information as to why they show up at their (MC's) door. Things get interesting from that moment on, there's love in bloom, a little sister that finds people who are just like her, a little brother who finds the male influence that he is seeking and a war that comes in full blast. Everything changes in an instance. You will need to read the book to know what I'm talking about. I just loved this book
I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I'm sad to see this series end. I always like the chaos the women get into and how the men try to reign them in. This book was lighter on that, due to everything coming to a head. There was the conflict with the Russians that was picking up, supposedly an allied MC was helping them. But man...that MC kept pulling shit! I kept waiting for someone to grab a gun and start killing people from the other MC, it needed to happen. And sure in the end the other MC got what was coming to them, but it wasn't enough. I was shocked with what was found out at the end of the action with the bad guys, how close some of it hit to home. I think what Bullet and Rose did to the one member was very warranted and not nearly enough.
Avery and Hulk were interesting. When they meet, both are in horrible situations, both not sure if they can trust the other. But each takes a leap. It felt like Avery was the on with more to loose and often she had to trust that she made the right choice in help Hulk and asking the Devil's Soldiers for help. Then once that was done, she had to ride it out. It wasn't easy with all that was going on, but by the end, worth it for them.
I have loved this series from the start each book was more captivating and the characters gave you everything you want from a fantastic story line. I am sad that this was the last book in the series but wow Emily Rose gave us the ultimate ending with this read. It was action packed from the start, addicting, suspenseful, twisted, full of feisty, sassy strong willed FMC's and MMC's who will burn the world down for their woman. Avery was no exception she was an incredible character so strong and intent on protecting her siblings when her mother sold her to the devil himself to save herself. Hulk is a man who will never sell out his MC and while being tortured for information meets his Angel. These two have a crazy start and it is a slow burn for them but what a journey they have. When betrayals keep coming you never see the twists and secrets being kept. I was sitting on the edge of my seat while I read. What an incredible conclusion to this amazing series. Emily Rose did it again. Can't wait to see what she comes out with next. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.
First off im so glad I got to ARC this book! Im sad that this one is the last in the series. Now, onto this amazing book! I absolutely loved the characters in this book. Hulk was amazing in his pursuit of Avery. He took her as she was, didn't want or try to change her, and you can tell he absolutely loves her siblings.
Avery was very cautious with Hulk and didn't want it to be a trauma bond. What all she went through was alot for anyone. But, she handled it well and didn't let situations get the best or her. The way she stood her ground and spoke her mind was the best. She will fit in well with the coven.
Hope the guys have their bail fund ready!
Don't miss out on this book. There is so much story and some spice. It's a fantastic read. I wish there was more to their story. I could read more on all of the Devils MC!
The finale Battle! Ahh I hate that this series is coming to an end but wow what a great way to end it. Every book in this series has lead us to Hulk and Avery story.
They meet under dangerous circumstances, both trapped in their own hell, not knowing how to get themselves out. 2 strangers taking a leap and trusting one another. This book has a lot of danger, some crazy twist and turn, unforgettable characters and amazing women who do not back down.
I super enjoyed that Emily’s other MC worlds made an appearance. Love we got to see them all interact together.
I most especially loved Bullet’s speech about how each of their women has made a huge impact in their lives. I applaud you for that writing Emily. Loved it!
Just like every other book in this series you will definitely have some LOL moments. It’s hard not to with these crazy characters.
What a book! What an ending to a series!!! I was hooked from page 1. Not knowing who could be trusted in a brotherhood like the Devil’s Soldiers had me on the edge of my seat. Enter Avery, a sister only wanting to protect her siblings when the person who was supposed to protect them (their mother), put them smack dab in the middle of danger. But Avery isn’t a wallflower, she managed to do the right thing for Hulk and the rest as they say is history. The bond between Hulk and Avery just grows from strength to strength. Add in how Hulk accepts Sawyer an Isla and all is perfect. It was bittersweet knowing this series has concluded, but it just made me want to start the whole series over again…to get the whole effect of a well written series!!!
I loved reading Avery and Hulk's story. Avery is such a strong FMC. Even when she was facing such dangerous situations, she still did not back down. I absolutely loved Hulk calling Avery "Angel". She is his angel.
It was quite a while into the story before Avery and Hulk hooked up. I actually really appreciated that nothing happened between them for a long while. One there is a lot to unpack with this book being the final one in this series. Second, it allowed me to really get to know Hulk and Avery better before they became a couple.
Did my heart break some with this series ending...Yes, it did. I have grown so attached to all of the Devil's Solders MC that it is like saying goodbye to family at this point. Yet, Emily did us readers right with how she ended this series.
What an incredible finish to an amazing series.I saved the book for the weekend so that I would have less to no interruptions reading it.I did not want it to finish it as I was not ready for it to end. Emily Rose never disappoints and this time was no different the plot twist and finish to the book had me in a spin of emotions. Did I do a few happy dances through out the book? absolutely!!! I also wanted to shed a few tears through out the book. The book fell in love with this world so much that I don't think I would have ever been ready for it to end. The books are so well written that you can forget that the real world exist for a few hours. it was an amazing series to read and a great escape from reality.I can not wait to see what Emily Rose has for us for the future.
Held captive by the Russians and his betrayer unknown, Hulk is desperate for his club to find him and come to his rescue. His only respite in his captivity is the nurse who is tasked with tending to his injuries.
What a thrilling, gripping, edge of your seat story. It’s loaded with danger, action, betrayals, lies, secrets and tension as the club try to uncover the traitor and eliminate the enemy while keeping everyone safe.
I couldn’t put it down, hooked from the very first page. I have loved the adventures of the Devils Soldiers MC and the antics of their ol’ ladies, but all good things must come to an end. This is a fantastic finale to what has been an outstanding series.
The Devil's Escape kept me turning the pages because I was on the edge of my seat while reading it. I had to know how it was going to end, so I read it cover to cover in one sitting. This was such a good story. I felt Avery, this independent, skilled, tough, nurturing woman, was perfect for the alpha, protective, kind, and intelligent Hulk. The Devil's Escape made me laugh, hit me in the feels, steamed up my Kindle, and had my heart racing. This was such a good story. I feel this was a good wrap-up to an amazing series. I look forward to any future stories from this world. The Devil's Escape was a can't put it down kind of story, and I really enjoyed it.
Emily Rose did it again. Another book to add to my favorites collection. When I first started to read I decided to read it super slow because this is the last book and I didn’t want to end it. I really enjoyed reading Hulk and Avery story. I tried to make it last longer but I had to finish it. I love Devils soldiers family and how they protect their own. Maybe in the future will be next generation? It would be fun to read about kids and legacy. When you start to read these books series you can’t stop and I am sure I will reread it soon because I just simply love them all. Emily thank you for being so creative and writing these books
I have absolutely loved this series. I was sad to hear that this was the last instalment. Rose has an amazing writing style, which does not allow me to be able to put the story down before I am back reading it again.
The family this series is based around is evidently hilarious and comical.
The characters are described so well, and what I love about Rose's character descriptions, especially for an FMC, is that they are headstrong and can handle themselves.
I would highly recommend reading this book. For the best experience, read the other Devil's Soldiers's books first.
Though I will miss new stories about the current brothers of the Devil's Soldiers MC and (of course) the coven, I enjoyed the book and the entire series. Hulk and Avery were wonderful characters to read about and there were plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes. I don't post spoilers so I don't want to be too specific. I have recommended this series before in my reviews and this one is no different. The book was great and so was the entire series. I can't wait for the next series from Emily Rose and hopefully some more stories with the coven! They are my favorite part of this series.
I'm so sad to say goodbye to the Devils Soldier's MC series . I've really enjoyed every book and getting to know all of the characters and their story lines . I've had moments where I've laughed out loud, scarying my dogs lol to wanting to throw my Kindle at the wall to crying because one of the characters died who shouldn't have died . The emotional damage is real, lol 😆 .. but all jokes aside, i highly recommend this series where the brothers find love in the most unexpected places and their women find loyalty and a family they didn't know they needed .
What an ending! I've had the privilege of reading all of Emily's books in this series. I've been so excited to read Hulks story, especially after the ending of the previous book. This book (along with the others in the series) will make you laugh out loud, cry and gasp from the surprises. Even though all the books are standalone, they follow the same storyline so I really recommend you read the books in order to know who everyone is. I'm gutted the series is over :( but they'll definitely be on my re-read pile.
The Devil’s Escape by Emily Rose is the thrilling, horrifying story of Hulk and Avery. He’s captured and brutally tortured. She’s a nurse who tries to help. This story was incredibly compelling!! I couldn’t stop reading!! These two have a certain chemistry that is off the charts…but, nothing can ever come of it because of their precarious situation. The danger, intrigue, betrayal and shocking situations will keep you riveted!! Great finale to The Devil’s Soldiers series!!! This was sooooooooooo good!!
If you like a slow burn this is NOT it. From the first paragraph you are thrown into how intense this story will be and it doesn’t stop. It, in fact, gets even crazier & impossible to put down. How she managed to pack so many twists, surprises, drama and emotions into this story I’ll never know!! I both hate and love that this is the end of the series. I have literal tears in my eyes because I don’t want it to end!!
I am so sad for this to end, but so happy that Hulk finally got the ending he deserved. I have loved Hulk from the beginning and he has always been one of my favorite characters right from the start. At least he was given a proper blow-up story to bring it all together. Emily has hit it out of the park with this ending bringing the whole story arc to a satisfying, if not sad, completion. She keeps us laughing (enter the coven and their newest recruit), and crying (exit some loved ones) while still managing to deliver on some crazy excitement and treason- there will be blood!
Thanks Emily, it's been a wild ride! Looking forward to whatever comes next ❤️
Hulk and Avery's story for the series finale that I was hoping for! Their love story builds slowly and we truly got to witness their story unfold among to chaos of the MC Club's take down of the local Russian mob! Emily once again weaved an amazing love story into a maze of betrayal! I have to say that I am so freaking sad that series has come to end but absolutely looking to the next generation's stories and I am hoping Macy is up first!!!
What a way to end this series. I’m going to miss all those guys and their ladies! This was Hulk’s story, we finally got to know what happened to him. Avery turns out to be his saving angel. Their bumpy road leads to love. This book has so many twists and surprises and I loved each and every one. I’m going to miss them all! Thank you Emily for all those fantastic moments. I received a copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily. I can’t wait to see what series comes next!
This was a really good way to end this particular part of the series. Bullet and Rose have more family to love ❤️. There were some twists and turns throughout, but it was well written and kept you turning the pages. There were a few editing issues, but they didn't take away from the story. Avery was the hero! Grab your copy and enjoy! Happy reading! Highly recommend!
Soooo good. I honestly didn't know what to expect with this one because of the MMC and his personality BUT was I wrong. This is so good, captivating and all around a great read. I love the chemistry between the two main characters and of course the background characters who have been in and out of the series off and on. Emily Rose is so good at making stories catch attention and leave you wanting for me.
