Not the Hero: Book 1 in the Star Beast series
Mythlond is a world of dragons, dungeons, enchantment and mythical monsters.
A place resplendent with tales of mighty heroes dashing in to fight dastardly creatures, defeat the villain and save the day.
But this is not that kind of story.
When the heroes fall, Sergeant Pike and his squad of Skirmishers, the lowliest, poorly trained troops in the Yorkville army, are all that is left to try and finish the quest.
Can Pike and his small band of low-level, clearly background characters, in truth, only there to die at the hands of the bad guys, complete the journey, defeat the most evil of foes, and save the realm?

Watching from the endless darkness, the ageless one seeks to claw its way into the realm of life.
Twelve worlds, set in the heavens from creation, bar the old one from its return. Forever sealing the beast in its eternal prison.
But…should these beacons of light dim, the gates will open, the evil will emerge, and then….all hope, all light, all life will cease.
The series development
As the series progresses, we will visit these very different worlds and see how the beast tries to corrupt them.
As we explore each realm, expect the a zombie apocalypse in a fantasy realm, evil Victorian assassins versus Lovecraftian beasts, fantasy creatures invading a modern town, cowboys vs. werewolves, aliens and demi gods, superheroes, and even space battles.
As each world holds its own or falls to ruin, a few survivors, heroes, and villains from each will find their way to a final battle on the planet that holds the web of light together.
This key world will, in truth, be the setting for the final battle, a place that must not fall into darkness or the ageless one will have his freedom.
That place is…. Earth

Set on world number five of the twelve. The realm of Islande
The story involves a mismatched cast of fighters, mages, elves, dwarves, thieves, bandits and a few peasants just out for a mug of mead, getting trapped in the infamous Fat Boar Inn.
This will not be a night of ale and feasting as a horde of mindless, unstoppable undead have risen and are destroying the city. One bite, and you join the horde of zombies.
Can this group avoid killing each other long enough to hold off the swarm of undead and try to escape the tide of death?
It's doubtful...
