Mia Connors is the IT manager for a gated community. Someone is targeting this community with fake emails to schedule appointments for services. These emails, strange occurrences, and changes in the security team have Mia's attention. When things escalate to a murder and a missing friend, Mia puts on her sleuthing hat. This kept me glued to the page with twists and surprises. The killer's reasons were a big surprise to me. Mia and her family, including a twin, are relatable and lovable. I listened to this on audio. I really enjoyed the spin the narrator, Sarah Goer, put on the dialogue. I highly recommend this one! Cozy, but diabolical!

Loved this mystery but the ending took a very unexpected turn so I had to give it only 3 stars. This was due to an attempted rape of the main character. I am used to the main character being in dangerous and dire situations, when on the verge of identifying the killer, but this is the first cozy I have read (out of 150+) where the main character was moments away from being raped. This is not a storyline I want in my cozies. I absolutely love Julie Anne Lindsey’s books and hope she will not continue to cross that line of what is considered “cozy” and what is not.

Internet hackers beware

Internet hackers beware of geeks and especially girl geeks. They will track you down and will right a wrong. A good read and funny, too.
