I love time travel themed books, so when I saw RENTAS, I knew I had to read it. My thoughts? Solid! The story is fast-paced, full of surprises, and seriously hard to put down.
In short, Reyzal loses his job during the pandemic. Out of nowhere, he gets an offer to join the RENTAS experiment from Selena. And with the crazy good pay, there’s no reason to say no, especially when he’s already jobless. When we think about time travel, we usually imagine fixing past mistakes, right? But RENTAS is different. Reyzal has to make choices that are the total opposite of what he originally picked. If he made the right choice before, now he has to go back and do the wrong one. And that’s where his journey starts. Want to know what happens? Read it yourself!
I love how the book uses a lot of internal monologue. It really felt like I was Reyzal. The scenes in France were great too, like I was struggling alongside him as a student. The best part? The way the author plays with reality and dreams. It had me thinking, is this real or just in his head? Plus, there are so many takeaways from the story.
And the funniest part? I finished the whole book and still don’t know Reyzal’s real name!
One thing that threw me off, page 93. The sentence just cuts off, no full stop. I kept wondering, Was this a printing error? Because when I turned the page, it jumped straight to a new chapter. Even by the end, I still had no clue what was in the box Reyzal was carrying.
Final verdict: 5/5 stars! Actually, let’s make it 5.5/5 because this book is just that good. A must read!
