It was kind of repetitive (not the same thing happening again and again but it was the same words and denial thoughts repeated many times. Like she hated him. Yeah we get it but it was mentioned in like every third sentence.) I didn’t like how she supposedly hated him for most of the book. My morals are either fucked or he wasn’t that bad. She overreacted and put it way out of proportion. It didn’t feel like she hated him, it was more like a child throwing a weird tantrum. This book was weird and I liked it in the beginning but as I kept reading It just slowly went downhill. Starting I didn’t know why this book only had 2 ratings or why it wasn’t popular. (I got both books free on kindle. (not KU) that might have been a sign)Then I kept reading and I don’t think I DISLIKE it but I definitely don’t LIKE it either. I’m torn. Just like the fmc. I’m gonna read book 2 just to know I finished the series and can leave a review (hopefully better) so someone can find their new favorite book.

“In the Name of Love” is a billionaire romance that starts with the MMC, Rick, falling hard for the FMC, Emma. Author Aparna M. already had my attention with these tropes. Add an FMC in distress because of her ex and an MMC that wants to help, support, and protect; I’m here for it.

“In the Name of Love” is a slow-burn Book 1 of Author Aparna M.’s debut novel. Much of the story, I believe, is leaving the foundation of what’s to come in Book 2. It is in the 3rd person, which I don’t often read. I enjoyed Emma's growing independence throughout the story and how much she could voice her opinions and stand up for herself. The story does leave on a cliffhanger. I hope these two get more descriptive romantic scenes in book 2. But I did find Book 1 quite entertaining.
