Timeless Form: The Tale of Michelangelo's Model

Rate this book
In this evocative and introspective novel, Timeless The Tale of Michelangelo's Model, Angelo Segarra reimagines the Renaissance era through the eyes of David, the enigmatic model for Michelangelo's iconic statue. Set against the backdrop of artistic genius and societal constraint, the story weaves a tapestry of love, creativity, and existential questioning that transcends time.

David's journey begins as a muse—torn between his unyielding passion for Felysia, a woman he cannot truly possess, and his duty to remain a symbol of artistic perfection. His inner turmoil deepens when his recurring dreams reveal a haunting future where his image is immortalized not only in marble but in the aspirations of a distant, mechanical civilization. As David grapples with his fate, he is drawn into profound relationships with the great minds of his time, including Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, who challenge him to redefine the meaning of love, purpose, and creation.

Spanning centuries, the narrative takes readers on a surreal odyssey from Renaissance Florence to a dystopian future where humanity and technology collide. As David awakens in an era ruled by artificial intelligence, his struggle becomes one of preserving the soul of creativity in a world determined to replicate and control it.

Written in a style reminiscent of Yukio Mishima and Haruki Murakami, this poetic and deeply philosophical tale explores the intersection of art, love, and time. Angelo Segarra invites readers to reflect on the eternal What does it mean to create? Can art transcend mortality? And how far will humanity go to preserve beauty and meaning in an ever-changing world?

Timeless Form is a thought-provoking exploration of creativity and the human spirit, perfect for readers who crave a rich narrative imbued with historical depth and speculative intrigue.

Robots are rising in power by the day, portending a time in the not-too-distant future when they’ll surpass humans and become masters of the Earth. They will then possess all the knowledge that has ever existed, the unimaginable speed of future-age computers, and mastery over space and time. However, creativity will remain a gift that only humans can possess. And without creativity, the robot masters will never be able to progress.

What then, if the robots try to steal humans’ gift of creativity by coercion and claim dominance over the Earth? A perfect human exists at that time. What if they capture him and try to steal it from him, but he refuses to cooperate? They cannot force him because of the risk of accidentally killing him and then having no perfect human source left to copy creativity from...

Let’s read this story that pits a human vs. a far superior army of robots to find who finally prevails: flawed humans or hi-tech robots? Creativity or perfectionism?
