This one connects with Forbidden Valentine as Veronica and Mila are best friends, with both their men working as St Valentine butchers. I think Veronica goes to St Valentine’s school but the school (and all its darkness explained in previous stories) isn’t really mentioned. I’m confused how and why this is the same series 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I felt like Jude was sexy and a good dirty talker up until after they first have sex. His brooding voice then takes a hard left turn into that of a goofy boy. They throw in the red room sex scene, then again flip back to the grinning and joking version.

Jude is also almost 40 and while they don’t specify Veronica’s age, she’s in College. So i guess this is an age-gap romance but it doesn’t really feel like it while reading.

Quick Summary:
- Veronica kills a man who is taunting her and leaves him in the bathtub before heading to the bar. The owner of the bar (Jude) helps Veronica clean up her kill but forms a quick attachment to her in the process.

The final book of the St Valentines series. ARC review.

The final book has some dark moments. I felt like this being the final book was perfect. It was more cute, and ended in a HEA. I would love to see this turn into a full length novel with learning about Judes extra curricular activities.

Did she just throw him in the bathtub? 🤣 Yup! As good a place as any I suppose.

Jude is the other half to Gunner, and they know exactly what to do, you may question why? You’ll just have to read the series 😉

Suffice to say this one is a smut fest with a bit of deleting and a whole smorgasboard of positions, there may be a little BD5M thrown in too 🤭

The writing style was great, loved Veronica’s sense of humour too.

This was my first Licia book and if her others are like this one it won’t be the last.

I need to find me a Jude. No offence to any of the other writers in this series but he was by far my favourite MMC. Using the mattress to get rid of evidence was just genius. Why have a red room when you can have a hidden sex cabin in the woods.

I wasn’t overly keen on Veronica at the start not that she was a bad character but she was just a little too mouthy for considering the predicament she was in and Jude was just trying to help. But I think it was probably more just a defence mechanism.

It’s not essential to have read Emily Klepp’s book first but if you want to know more about Mila and Gunner then I probably would.

💀 Secret Society
🖤 Occult
💀 FMC in Trouble
🖤 Morally Gray MMC
💀 Age Gap

A book with an FMC in trouble with a morally gray MMC to the rescue can never go wrong. Jude was 🥵 and his dirty talk was fantastic. I loved the insta-lust and insta trust between these too. I loved Veronica’s inner thoughts, they were too funny. Another novella where I wish I could just have more of MCs because I liked them so much!

Desperate Valentine tells some of the events from Forbidden Valentine through Mila's best friend Veronica and Gunner's friend Jude. Veronica meets Jude at his bar on Valentine's Day after she's attacked by a fellow student. Jude helps her out in a similar manner Gunner did for Mila. Veronica and Jude's attraction is instant. She learns of his past and doesn't shy away from it.

Wow! What a way to end the series!! Veronica and Jude are freaking perfect for each other! Jude knew how to handle a very bratty Veronica, and I love that Veronica fell for the "villain." They have the perfect HEA not only with each other, but their best friends too!!

The final book in the St Valentines interconnected novella series. I really like that this book was connected to Forbidden Valentine and I loved these characters. This book did seem to be more spice than plot but that’s totally cool.
I am a little disappointed it ended there. I was so ready for the demise of the St Valentines cult jerks but it never came.

Valentine's Day turned deadly when Veronica kill's a classmate in self-defence. This one act causes her world to go spiraling.

She seeks to find time on her own in a bar that is near the University, there she meets Jude, who happens to be the owner of the bar. And his own dark charm lures her in. Together, they each share their own secrets, and that sparks an unmistakable connection between them.

Veronica can feel the danger simmering just under Jude's surface. She feels torn between appreciation towards Jude and her growing affection, and she battles internally with her choices, and she doesn't know what to do.

Is Jude actually Veronica's saviour, or is he a deeper threat than she realizes?

With Veronica's heart, safety and maybe even her very life at risk, Veronica has to decide if she is going to fully embrace the passion between them or is she going to turn, run and escape all the chaos?

Yes, love can be electrifying, but at the same time, it can also be deadly.

Savage Valentine is an MF story that takes place in St. Valentine's University, a shared world. This story is only intended for readers 18+. Please read the trigger and content warnings prior to reading as there are triggering events that can trigger some readers.

Please be aware that this is book 10 in the St. Valentine's University Series and is the final book in the series.

"shit,i fell for the villian"

This was the first book I read by Licia Dawn, and honestly, I think she was the perfect author to write the final book in the St. Valentine's University Series. This was such a fantastic book, and it was a perfect conclusion to the series. I am kind of sad that the series is over, I want more of the world. I love all the characters that we met over the last 10 books, and I just want so much more of this universe.

This novella was so plot heavy, and I honestly thought that it was so perfect. I think this book needed to be plot heavy to actually work.

In this final edition to St. Valentine's University We meet Veronica and Jude. This book does follow on from book 9 magnificently. And we do see Gunner and Mila featured in this book, as well as they are friends with Veronica and Jude.

Yes, we get a great amount of spice and steam in this book. But, that isn't all this book is focused on. There is a great plot line, too, and it really plays out like a conclusion to the entire plot of the series. We met a lot of different characters, and we learned a lot, and each story added to the world itself. I loved reading each story and learning about all the different characters and their stories and I suggest if you haven't read the entire series then you HAVE to go back and read the whole series, you are missing so much.

I feel like this book is more about the side characters that we've met through the series of St. Valentine's. But honestly, I didn't care, Jude is just so interesting. He's this man of mystery. The way this book was written was perfect for the series and fit in perfectly.

I can't recommend the St. Valentine's University Series enough. It is such a great read. I would suggest that you read it in reading order starting with book 1. I loved reading this series, and I loved all these authors so much and I can't wait to read more from each and every one of them.

"shit,i fell for the villian"

this was such a good read and an incredible conclusion to the whole st valentines shared world series,my first series and it's been a joy honestly to read all 10 stories🥹

this was a plot heavy story who follows jude & veronica and honestly a perfect follow on from the last story where we followed gunner and mila! its great to see the final two stories be about a group of best friends!

although smutty,it has such a great plot line aswell and it really served a little like conclusion plot wise,we met lots of characters,we learned a lot & each story made up the whole world & it truly feels perfect to read every single story & i would highly suggest to everybody to read the whole story by doing each book one by one!

this is more of a book on the side characters of the characters of st valentines university but imma be honest jude is such an intriguing character,a man of mystery if you will! i also loved the way this whole story was written, the writing style is perfection! is one the top reads of the series for sure!

rates??

characters?? 4.5⭐️ absoultely loved jude & veronica, also loved the little cross over timing wise with mila and gunner! was great to see them pop up again!

plot?? 4.75⭐️ an insta lust story honestly written so perfectly! such a fast paced novella and all of it just head over heels 100% miles an hour but it works! the storyline is written to cross over similarly to the past story which i really loved seeing the same text through both books!!

spice?? 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ super spicy! loved the addition of the floggers & bdsm ish elements! some of my favourite spice to read in books like these!! the spice is intense and it will have you sweating & 💦

overall?? 4.5⭐️ loved this book! perfect end to the series and such a fun easily digestible read!! couldn't honestly fault it,would just love more of these guys in future! i love some of the books are getting turned into something more!!

I have one request before I begin my review. 🙏 🙏 Please can these ten amazing authors do this again. The combination of their stories woven together was a beautiful, seductive, jaw dropping, heart pounding present to me. They are the best of the best of dark romance.

🖤 This is the tenth and final novella of the St. Valentine University Series

🖤 This is my honest review for an arc I received.

🖤 Veronica and Jude’s relationship is very dark, se@ual and violent. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!😉

🖤 Review: wish I could give more than five stars because Licia wrapped this gift in a quintessential blood red bow! 🤭
📕 Flow - perfect! The story is exciting from the first chapter to the last!
💀 Dark - This is one of the darkest novellas I have read. Amazing how she packed so much in a half hour novella. She is a master of her craft!
🥵 se@ual - what I am feral for in all these novellas! I was not ready for the overwhelming desire between these two! I love Veronica! The Quintessential woman is true beauty emanating from a woman who boldly and unabashedly knows who she is, and knows what she wants out of
life. And Jude is the dark quintessential strong, silent, tough guy just till the 🌶️ scenes! He takes his job seriously but Veronica he claims! To he!! and back little leopard!
😈 violence - Does she have a deep obsession for this because I am definitely along for the ride! I need to read everything this author has written!
📚 favorite chapter- run to chapter 10! 🤭 🤭. Like I said Licia did not forget one f33kin thing!

🖤 🖤 The St. Valentine University Series is a must read for those readers who do not heed the trigger warnings! The select few who want the dark, want the obsession, want the white hot definitive meaning of dark romance, this is it in ♠️!

The final book in the Valentine Series. Yes, they saved the best for last. Desperate Valentine is a dark romance story about Hude and Veronica. We get a glimpse of them in Forbidden Valentine the read before this one. I have one request, Licia Dawn and Emily Klepp have to calibrate on a read about the two couples.

Jude and Veronica were written perfectly for each other. Yes, there is an age gap with Veronica being a student at the University and Jude, being Gunner's best friend and owning a bar. She walked into his bar after she had to get rid of Blaise. She was already in a mood, not liking Valentine's Day, and I couldn't find her bestie Mila.

She never thought Jude, being a stranger and all, would come to her rescue. Common sense keeps telling her to run, but that attraction keeps her I'm place. When she finds out who Jude and Gunner's true identity is, she really wants to run but can't. Jude is the petfect man for her in a twisted dark way.

I strongly recommend reading Forbidden Valentine first to fully understand what is happening in this one. I love how Jude just knew Veronica was the one, and her attitude is something else. That girl has a mouth on her, and she is not one to bow down to anyone. I love her independent, don't mess with me, I can nake a grown man cry personality. Of course, Jude is the only one who can calm that attitude and mouth.

Licia Dawn is known for her spicy ways, and yes, when that special room comes into the story, not only does it have Veronica's mind and heart racing, but it'll have yours too.

What a team these two are. I loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I could not put this one down!

The whole series was so good, but the last three reads, especially this one, were indeed my favorites.

Desperate Valentine was a short, spicy, and enjoyable read 🧡 I loved Veronica & Jude’s characters and how their relationship and own feelings progressed. I thought the dynamic of between them connecting & building a relationship, and their spicy scenes was well balanced! The descriptions and plot were also well written, and made for an interesting read!

Veronica was a strong minded, stubborn fmc that you couldn’t help but love. Her inner thoughts and turmoil about Jude was both hilarious and also more serious as she started to accept her true feelings 🖤 She had a fiery side to her that I loved, and I also loved seeing her find her place with Jude!! I thought they went together perfectly.

Jude was the type of red flag mmc that you can’t help but fall for. Not only in his actions, which were both sweet & incredibly hot 🥵, but also in the words he gives to her. Just like Veronica, it was really nice to see him finding his comfort with Veronica and having her accept him. I loved the scene towards the end where he expresses how he’s been waiting for the right one to try a certain something out, and he chooses her because it just feels right 🧡

This was a quick & easy read filled with the right amount of spice and plot, with well written characters that are truly a perfect match! I would definitely recommend this 🖤

Age Range: 18+

The final book in the St. Valentines series does NOT disappoint! DESPERATE takes us to the last book’s mains’ best friends. Mila’s best friend Veronica and Gunner’s best friend, Jude. This is a dark, age gap romance between a student and a bar owner. Frightened on how she is going to hide a body, Veronica hides out inside a bar, worried of what she had just done

Jude, after being struck with insta-attraction, decides to help Veronica out with her little problem. She knows she shouldn’t be willing to trust just anybody, but something inside her tells her to give him a chance. The chemistry between the two is a roller coaster of hot spice and I loved every minute of it. I feel like this book is like the second half of FORBIDDEN, so I would honestly read that one before diving into this one, just to give you a little more insight to the characters.

🖤 secret society
🖤 age gap
🖤 morally grey mmc
🖤 $erial Kill3r
🖤 spicy 🔥🔥🔥

DESPERATE VALENTINE does not give us any conclusions to the dark secret society on the campus and leaves us with more questions, but like all the great authors in this collection have noted, some are returning! There were a ton of book faves in this series that had me craving more, including Veronica and Jude, and Mila and Gunner.

If you’re looking for a short, smutty series with secret societies, hockey romances, badass fmcs, spicy scenes, and memorable book bfs, then you should quickly get started on these! All written by some of the best in the genre!

Desperate Valentine is the tenth and final book in the St Valentines shared world series. It is a mildly dark, quick romance with some on page violence and spicy scenes. There are some possible triggers in this story, so continue with caution. Though this could be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the series in order, or at the very least reading Forbidden Valentine prior to reading Desperate Valentine.
Though this is the tenth book in the series, to me it read like the second book of a series with Forbidden Valentine being the first. All ten books are linked through St Valentine's University, but the storyline for these two books take a vastly different route than the rest of the books in the series. I very much enjoyed the route this story took, appreciated how easy it was to connect to both Jude and Veronica, as well as their unconventional story. This storyline is well written with complete thoughts that smoothly lead the reader through suspense and spice. Definitely one of my favorites of this series.

Ummm... idk it was not what I was expecting.
Killing that first man was kind of strange. I'm not mad that he's dead, but I also don't think stabbing him in the neck when he was walking away from her was necessary. Also, the interactions between the two main characters were kind of stiff.. It actually felt like they didn't like each other at all TBH. Maybe it's just me, but the chemistry didn't translate well, and because of that, the spice was also pretty bleh. I think I would've enjoyed the best friend's story better instead of this one. They seemed to have more history, and I feel like the tension was more believable for the friend. I also think it's kind of too unbelievable that both friends had relationships with a serial killing duo in the same night for kind of the same reason, and not one of the four people involved spoke about it beforehand... idk this just wasn't the read I had hoped it would be. I wish the best friend's story were told instead.

This is book 10, the last book of the 10 book interconnected St Valentines series. This one was even more rushed than book 9, Forbidden Valentine. It intertwined with Forbidden Valentine, as they happened at the same time, but many of the details did not match up. For example, in Forbidden Valentine, the FMC goes on a blind date, and it goes horribly, she does not know the guy at all. But in Desperate Valentine, we see Veronica's POV of the same situation, and somehow, she knows who Mila is on a date with and she doesn't want to ruin it by calling her. The story itself was okay, it just wasn't very believable with how the events transpired. I did like the epilogue though! Because this was part of a series, I believe it does not necessarily speak totally to the authors talent and I will probably try another book written by her!

F* Valentine's Day

Veronica hates V Day but attending St. Valentine University means it's a month long ordeal. Already in a foul mood it's made worse by Blaise Percy who was humiliated in class. He proved that men can't find the clit and now he expects his ego to be stroked. Too bad it's the last thing he ever does.

With no idea what to do and needing to escape Veronica finds herself in a bar and the owner catches her eye. What she didn't expect was him to help her clean everything up.

Now she can't help that she wants him but she won't initiate it. However, when he walks in just before she can get herself off all bets are off. The rest of this story is so damn hot. Jude and Veronica are a fantastic couple.

Desperate Valentine is a whirlwind of passion and peril wrapped in a high-octane romance that doesn’t waste a single page. Licia Dawn masterfully blends dark intrigue with steamy moments, reminding us that true love—like a well-aged wine—is best savored slowly even when the plot is firing on all cylinders. Veronica and Jude’s chemistry is undeniable; they’re that power couple who make you root for them even as their lives teeter on the edge of chaos. Even though the book wraps up with a comforting HEA rather than a cliffhanger, it leaves you longing for more of that irresistible blend of danger and desire. If you’re a fan of fast-paced, dark romance with a traditional flair for heartfelt storytelling, this book is a must-read—and trust me, sometimes a little danger makes the heart grow fonder.

This is the last book in the St. Valentine series. I have to say that I love it. Veronica and Jude's story is just one bloody sexual adventure.

What's a girl to do when she kills a scumbag in self-defence? Have a hot bartender with daddy vibes help you get rid of the body. This is how Veronica and Jude meet.

I have to say that these two are perfect for each other. His Daddy vibes fit so well with her brat attitude. He knows just how to shut that loud mouthly mouth of his little leopard slut.

I might have reread the pig barn scene a few times. The things he did to her with his bloody hands were downright x-rate. I think I might have had to go take a very cold shower after that.

I am sad that this is the end of the series. But I am happy that I was introduced to brand new authors to add to my tbr bucket.

Desperate Valentine by Licia Dawn is the tenth and final book in the St. Valentines Series. It takes place in the St. Valentines world and builds on Book 9 – Forbidden Valentine, but it can also be read as a standalone.

The story follows Veronica, the best friend of book 9’s FMC, Mila, who is also a student at St. Valentine University. After accidentally unaliving someone, she seeks solace in a bar—where she meets MMC Jude. Jude is a bit older than her and harbors a dark secret…

What follows is a lot of scorching hot (and at times bloody) smut. Desperate Valentine is definitely a fun and fast-paced read.

Spice rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ /5

Tropes:
• Student × bar owner
• Age gap
• Serial unaliver
• Blood play
• Murder
• First person POV

Valentine’s Day Just Got a Lot Hotter—And Deadlier

Desperate Valentine by Licia Dawn is the perfect mix of steamy romance, dark humor, and a little bit of crime. Veronica hates Valentine’s Day, but after accidentally *unaliving* a classmate, she ends up at a bar where she meets Jude—the broody, mysterious owner who’s way too willing to help her clean up the mess.

Their attraction is instant, the chemistry off the charts, and the smut? Absolutely scorching. With witty banter, a thrilling plot, and a dash of BD5M, this book is a wild, fast-paced ride and a perfect conclusion to the *St. Valentine’s* series. If you like your romance with a side of danger, this one’s a must-read!

This is the story of Veronica and Jude. Veronica has a serious event happen, that leads her to a bar, as she figures out what to do next. Jude is the bar owner and insists on helping Veronica take care of her problem even not knowing what it is. The chemistry between these two is sooooo electrifying and hot!! This book left me wanting more, but it does end as a HEA. I am sad the series stops here!! This series has been great and if you're still putting it off.....well you're missing out!!! Great job on this one Licia!!!! The perfect ending to a perfect series!!

This is book 10 the last of the series I'm so sad to finish it they were all so good but this book is about Veronica  and Jude. Veronica  gets attacked by a fellow student  who didn't like being shown up so she defended her self by attacking him back and hid his body in the bathtub. Veronica then goes to a bar  where she then meets Jude. Jude offers to help Veronica despite here being stubborn. Jud helps get rid of the body. Jude attraction to Veronica  is instant and so is verconicas  attraction to jude she just doesn't want to admit it. Veronica  always has an answer for something but she is such a good person she  learns about judes past but she's doesn't back away from him.
