Turkey Trouble in a Mayet Justice holiday short story that fits into the timeline after Sinful Corruption, and before Sinful Deception.
Join the Copeland crew in this fun, action packed, swoony short story, where all Minka wants is a quiet holiday with her husband and absolutely no one else.
Not the Malones from New York. Not the mayor. And especially not Sophia freakin' Solomon.

I thoroughly enjoyed “Turkey Trouble” with Minka, Archer, and the rest of the family and friends. Although Minka and Archer night was intended to be intimate and quiet, it unexpectedly turned into a chaotic scene. It also served as a reminder to express gratitude for our family and friends during the holiday season. Although it was a short novella, it delivered a powerful message. Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday season.
This was an intriguing story that included many of my favorite characters (from this series and others). It's not a surprise that most of these strong personalities do as they please. Lol! However, everyone gets an unexpected twist that involves lots of red and blue lights, and not the good kind. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
I really wish that all of the novellas were listed with the original series that they are a part of, as well as in the correct reading order. I'd love for them to be in the Kindle Unlimited program like the rest of the series too.JMO! Thanks for sharing your amazing stories and talent with us!
What a perfect way to start the holiday!! Archer, Minka, and their motley crew of cops, docs, mobsters, and friends can always be counted on for laughs, love, family, drama, and a surprise or two!! This little novella even brought some profound emotion and wisdom along with our visit to one of our favorite couples. I love that in the midst of chaos, Archer and Minka’s connection and chemistry is as indelible as ever!! I can’t wait for more from this world!!
Emilia always comes through. This was a quick peek into Minka and Archer's ever evolving family life. While it had its fun, loving and invasive moments. (looking at you Felix) It also touched on a very important subject and put Emilia's caring spin on it. We also learned a very important fact about Minka's past that explains so much. As always, I can't wait for the next installment in Copeland City.
A great little teaser to get us through the holidays and a little closer to the next Emilia Finn release. Who doesn’t love a chaotic holiday dinner, especially when it involves the Malones, the mayor, and some surprise guests! I loved talk between Archer and Felix about the special sparkly green things. Bring on Lost Kingdom!
Nothing says the holidays quite like the Malones! Although Minka really wishes they wouldn't. Turkey Trouble does Thanksgiving as only Minka, Archer, the Malones, and their found family can. With heart, humor, a little bit of trauma, and a bit more info about one of our favorite people we didn't know before. It's a little family love until the next in the Mayet Justice series.
While this is a fun, family-aggravating-Minka story, it also has a serious side. Read the warning at the beginning of the book, because it deals with a heart-wrenching subject. It’s handled really well, though, at least under the person’s particular circumstances.
Emilia Finn has done it again. This book had me laughing. And scared to death. Then laughing again. I swear we all need a Felix in our life. lol. Thank you for gifting us this great “short” story. It was amazing
That was an odd but adorable short story. Leave it to Emilia to come out with a short story that's sooo crazy but yet makes perfect sense. I can't wait til next one comes out!!
This was a fun and quick read that really touches on the chaos that the holidays can bring. I always love being back with Minka and Archer! So good! Reminds me that i need to get caught up with the Mayet series. 🙂
All of the Mayet series books are amazing. This one, while short, is no different. These stories always leave me wanting more and anticipating the next release!
I love the family. Minka is adorable, she tries so hard to be separate but it just doesn’t work out for her. The thanksgiving she thought she didn’t want was what she ended up having anyway and she enjoyed it.
Absolutely loved it !! For a short story Emilia Finn managed to make it feel like a full novel . Her talent for writing is amazing . Perfect story for the holidays and how important family is !!
Loved this short read for the holiday. Minka and Archer plan to have Thanksgiving a romantic alone time. But the Malone gang had different plans. Can they get their way?
It's a 4.75. I loved it! Emilia already knows the joking was tough for the serious situation, but it was also true to the characters. I will always want more of Mayet and Archer.
A cute holiday story. Minka just wanted time alone with her husband....just the two of them. Just their little family. But her close friends and extended family had different plans. This was a holiday story and a lot of people are down around the holidays, so Archer took matters into his own hands to stop the attempt. Aubree can not allow her to be alone...because the George Stanley crew...are all family.
