“Once we step through those doors, you’re mine for the week."
“Well, when you say it like that… How can I refuse?”

It’s been a joyless holiday season working with my boss, Nicholas Davis. One thing is certain, I’ve earned this upcoming break.
My plans go from bad to worse, however, when he calls me on the very first day of vacation and demands I fly out to his hometown—ASAP! I should’ve known him giving the entire office a two-week holiday was somehow not going to include me. I am his assistant, after all.
He says it’s an emergency, and I’m the only one who can help.
He needs me.
Turns out I’m a sap this Christmas, and I cave quicker than I care to admit. Only… I don’t expect my boss to drop down on one knee in front of his entire family to propose to me in the middle of the airport, or ask me to stay with him at his parents’ house for the week as his fiancée.
What in the name of Saint Nick is going on this Christmas?

Fall in love this holiday season with a steamy, fake engagement, boss-employee, insta-love romance! This book is a standalone, holiday novella set at Christmas time.

This was a super sweet novella holiday romance.
Joy was Nick assistant and they did not have a relationship outside work, but when Nick is backed into a corner, he needs Joy to help him out. She's been let down by her brother, so the request comes at the perfect time.

These two have an instant attraction once they are away from work and spend some quality time together. Nick was a family guy, and it was not a side Joy had seen before. She also got to experience her first family Christmas since her parents divorced.

A cute epilogue too.

- fake relationship
- boss / employee
- forced proximity
- he falls first

Joy is excited to spend Christmas in sunny California but her brother bails on her. Her boss Nick begs her to come spend the week in snowy Wisconsin as his fake fiancé. Will this be the best Christmas or the worst?

I really enjoyed this cute story. It had nice spice along with some unexpected twists. The characters were likable and the story flowed well. It had Hallmark movie vibes except for touch of spice. Overall, a solid holiday romance.

This was a very cute boss fake engagement holiday romance. But with a twist, it isn't just a romance it's also a bit of a mystery who is Eric?

I really liked Nick and Joy. As a couple they were adorable. I adore Nick's family and it brought back memories of when I was younger and even as an adult how the entire family would get together for Christmas. Wonderful memories brought back by a book is always special to me.

Since it is a novella it is a VERY fast read.

I enjoyed it and read it in one sitting.

Nicholas Davis is a grumpy, handsome and wealthy man who runs the family business. It’s time to go home for Christmas. He really hates to go home because his father has cancer and he is worried about him. He doesn’t want to lose him. He also has to worry about a cousin, who just showed up unannounced saying he’s the son of Nick’s uncle. Nick’s dad opens his home and life to the cousin. Nick knows he only wants the money, which he says is rightfully his. No work just money. Is he really family or is he a fraud? Joy is Nick’s assistant who is heading to her brother’s house for Christmas. When she arrives at the airport, she finds out that her brother is working and won’t have time for Christmas, she’s disappointed. When Nick calls and ask her to come meet him for Christmas, she agrees since she has not where to go. When Joy arrives, Nick asked to pretend to be his fiancée. He’ll explain later when they’re alone. Will she agree? A week of Christmas fun. What’s not to love? She says yes. Can the two make people believe they are a couple? Will they let their attraction for each other get in the way of the fake engagement? What will his family think when they find out? Will they be upset or understanding? What about his cousin? Will he get money or will he caught? Nick and Joy both find each other attractive but because of working together they never crossed the line. Joy starts to enjoy Christmas again with his family. Will there be Christmas miracles? The characters are wonderful, fun, loving and kind. I was rooting for Joy, Nick and Nick’s father. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

The CEO of the family company, he is going home for Christmas when a family emergency prompts his need for an immediate fiancé.. he throws out the first name that comes to mind, his lovely assistant. She is traveling to California to see her brother for Christmas when she finds out that he is not going to meet her after all. Trying to decide what to do. She gets a phone call from her boss, begging her to come to his hometown, she has no idea why but agrees to go. Once she gets there, she gets caught up in a whirlwind of activity and becoming his fake fiancé. The thing is she fits so well into his family. It doesn’t feel very fake. This is a very sweet story. These are too genuinely nice people who unexpectedly have the opportunity to rediscover each other in a new way. They fit together, they are crazy attracted to each other, they are very compatible while horizontal, and they just might be falling in love. Has all of the visiting your hometown elements. It’s just an overwhelmingly sweet holiday story, that comes full circle with a happily ever after.

This was about Joy and Nick. Joy was Nick’s assistant. This was featured around Christmas time. Joy was taking a 2 week vacation to visit her brother in California. After all the delays she finally made it there. When she got to the airport she called her brother and he told her that something came up with his job and he wasn’t going to be able to see her. The airline lost her luggage as well so that just added to her stress. She had no where to go so she called her mom who also lived in California. Her parents got divorced a long time ago and her mother remarried. Her mother wasn’t available either. As she was figuring out what to do her boss called her and asked for a huge favor. She agreed and he booked her a first class ticket to go to where he was. He showed up at the airport with a few surprises. She was shocked but agreed to go along with his plan. He had a cousin Eric that he didn’t get along with he felt something was off with him. He opened up to Joy about it and she called her father to look into him. Her father showed up at Nick’s parent’s house to deliver the news along with a few other people.

I absolutely loved “Flown in for Christmas” by A. Boss. It is such a cozy holiday escape. The story has that perfect blend of festive spirit and heartwarming romance that had me grinning the whole way through. The chemistry between the main characters was electric without ever feeling rushed, and their banter gave me so many chef’s kiss moments. The holiday setting is vivid and nostalgic! Lots of twinkling lights, cozy cabins, and that unmistakable “fresh snow on Christmas morning” feeling that practically sparkles off the page. What really stood out was how grounded the characters felt. They weren’t perfect, but their growth and vulnerability made their connection feel earned and real. I found myself rooting for them through every awkward moment and heartfelt confession. The pacing hits that sweet spot: warm and steady, with just enough tension and payoff to keep things entertaining from start to finish. Overall, “Flown in for Christmas” delivered all the romance, holiday cheer, and emotional depth I look for in a fun, festive, spicy, quick read. It’s the kind of story that leaves you with a warm, fuzzy glow. Highly recommend adding this one to your winter reading list!

This was a super quick, super cute holiday read. It has all the things that we love from fake-relationship to spicy romance and a plot twist that you didn’t see coming.
Nick Davis is a young CEO taking over the family business when his father gets cancer. With no other heirs other than his sister who isn’t interested the job falls into his lap. That is until his uncle’s long lost illegimate son shows up and threatens to take everything Nick has worked so hard for. One of those things being a family heirloom that was promised to the first son that gets married. Backed against a wall Nick has to think fast and recruits his assistant Joy to play his fiancé. Joy finds herself alone for the holidays after her brother leaves her hanging at the airport so when her boss swoops in she doesn’t hesitate to hop on a plane and see what he needs. What follows is a whirlwind romance that is threatened when the truth smacks the whole family in the face.

If you love a good fake engagement, Christmas Love, Boss/Employee, Grumpy/Sunshine with some mystery then you've got the right book. Nick is the grumpy boss who is all work and nobody gets close to. Joy is his assistant who sees his potential but when she gets a call for her to meet him at the airport she assumes it's business as usual. There are so many parts of this book that I truly enjoyed but to tell you would give away important plot points so I won't. If you read it and want to discuss it after then I'm there! While Nick and Joy navigate Christmas with his family as a newly engaged couple there are a lot surprises under the tree this yr! Truly charming Christmas romance that will having you laughing out loud while plotting the demise/revenge on the annoying ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend!

4.5/5 ⭐️s
🌶️🌶️ - medium spice

LOVES:
- The whole scheme that Nick hatches is honestly silly, it works. I was all in on it.
- It’s eartbreaking how lovely Nick’s family is to Joy and how much she’s missed out on love like that in the past ❤️‍🩹
- Holy moly, the chaos! I enjoyed the big climax scene haha I wouldn’t have predicted it to go down that way, but it was fun.

CRITIQUES:
- Joy’s actions after the big moment are confusing. Why wouldn’t she have a conversation with Nick before doing anything??
- The suspended reality broke once for me at the end, but otherwise, I was just really into this. Even if it wasn’t the most realistic 🙃

I really enjoyed reading this. It felt like the perfect length with just enough of all of the elements that make a story work. I did feel like I had to be in a state of suspended reality, but that didn’t ruin it for me. Christmas magic, I suppose ✨

This heartwarming story had me all caught up in the drama. Nick is told before he goes home for Christmas with his family that his ex would be there. When his conniving cousin tells his father he needs grandmas ring for his fiancé Nick ups and tells his father that he is getting married as well and it starts his path with Joy, his assistant who has no idea what is going on until she is told to pay along. Everything gets twisted and when everything comes out surprises are in the midst and jail time will be had for the culprits that tried to swindle their way into getting financial gain not meant for them. This story has some thrilling suspense turns, but Nick and Joy had me cheering them on to getting their chance for happiness in the end.

This cute Christmas romance is fun to read. You have two pov’s, Joy and Nick, which contributes to the story. Since you’ll hear what their reasoning is behind certain actions. It’s a Hallmark movie style story. It’s well written, with a couple of steamy scenes. The two main characters, Joy and Nick, are great people and you root that they get together. It’s a fake engagement, holiday romance that has all the trope’s without being corny. It’s a short read. I wanted to keep on reading. The pace of the story was not too slow, luckily, but also not rushing through the story. There’s also some mystery, on who Eric is, really Nick’s cousin or not?

If you’re into well written Hallmark Christmas stories, with loveable main characters, cozy Christmas scenes and some steamy scenes, then this is the book for you.

This is the book that I absolutely did not know I needed.

Fake engagement ✔️
Boss/employee relationship ✔️
Holiday romance ✔️
Spice ✔️

It has that small town cozy hallmark vibe with the added spice.

Nick and Joy are both looking forward to heading to their families for the holidays, but each for different reasons. When Joys plans get turned upside down and she gets an unexpected call from her boss with an offer she couldn't turn down she had no idea it would change her entire holiday and perhaps life.

I loved the chemistry between both Joy and Nick. I also loved the way Nick's family was portrayed. As a WI native I feel like it definitely gave off small town WI vibes very well. I absolutely loved this book and couldn't put it down once I picked it up.

Flown In For Christmas was a fake dating story done right.

I loved it from the start. Nick was brilliant and Joy was adorable. These two has a lot of chemistry from the start. They both held the same values of family being important and when Nick asks Joy for a favour in pretending to be his fiancé, she agrees in the spirit of family and Christmas. These two were so cute together and I truly felt the love they had for each other even before they realized that's what it was.

I highly recommend reading this one. It puts you in a good mood and makes you believe in miracles. Such a great read.

She arrives to help and they lie to his family.. But the more time they spend together, the more they realize they want to be a real couple and that they love each other...when their lie is exposed, how will Nick's family react? Will Nick and Joy get their happily ever after?

Joy is looking forward to visiting her brother over Christmas and getting away from her uptight boss, Nick. That goes wrong in spectacular fashion, so she ends up engaged. Poor girl has no idea what hit her! But her boss's family is in trouble, and Nick knows that Joy is the only one who can help him. They begin to fall for each other over the week in very romantic fashion. The story was very funny, too.

This cute Christmas novella was the perfect sweet, cozy read! Nick needs his assistant to pretend to be his fake fiancé for the holidays, and she’s eager to help—she’s stranded at the airport with nowhere to go. As they play the part, sparks fly, and they discover how well they truly match. With romance, old-school Christmas vibes, and a hint of mystery, this short, heartwarming story is a must-read. Plus, who can resist a hero who calls the heroine "angel"? Swoon!

I have really enjoyed reading this story, I thought Joy and Nick were lovely together, I couldn't help chuckling at the pickle he got himself into at the start. I believed in their connection and chemistry and in them falling in love whilst pretending to be in love. I also enjoyed all the family moments and what I didn't see coming, I wanted to read more of them when I got to the end.

I really love this all out Christmas story. Even though Nick starts out kind of iffy, a boss asking his assistant for a favor, in the long run he loves his family and does so much for his dad. I love the way he treats Joy. I love that Joy turns her yucky Christmas around and falls in love with Nick's family. 3.5 stars.

This is one of the books that I was supposed to read by Christmas but life took charge and put reading goals in the back seat xD.

**Spoiler Alert**

This was such a cute romance Christmas novella. It was super sweet cute easy read. I really enjoyed this book, it had the cute old school Christmas vibes and a little bit of mystery in it. Nick and Joy just fit together so well. Insta love just isn’t my thing but it made sense in this book as it was a short novella and the pace seemed right for it. I liked seeing the cute moments the two have, and the edible marijuana scene was just amazing! The ending was a bit weird because I couldn’t understand why Joy would decide to leave without talking to Nick, but I think that the book was really fun overall.

If you are looking for a cozy holiday read to make you smile and fill an afternoon, this is your next stop. The characters are lovable, the villians truly unlikable, and the holiday charm is maxed out at 11. Featuring tried and true holiday tropes of a fake relationship, family, and small-town charm, this have everything that your Hallmark bones are yearning for this season. I very much enjoyed this read and it made me smile. Definitely recommend for the holiday romance lovers!

This was a great short novel. I immediately connected with our fmc, Joy. The fake fiancé storyline was well formulated from the beginning, although I wish we had a little more exposure to Nick and Joy before the christmas party to get a feel for their relationship prior to the fake proposal. The flow of the story was good and it was a short easy read. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a cozy grumpy/ sunshine story.

Ok.

The h is 25 and the H is 35. Like the blurb says, the H tells the h
via phone that there's an emergency and he needs her to fly to
him in Wisconsin. She does and is immediately proposed to at the
airport. The H begs her to play along and she says yes to the
proposal.
Overall, it's a cute, short story. Likeable main characters. I wouldn't re-read it or recommend to a friend, but it was fine enough to read once

Spicily charming

I loved the mix of small town charm and spice! This story had all the warm glowy feelings of a holiday story without turning Hallmark perfect. Joy is Nick’s assistant and I liked that they weren’t romantically linked at all at the start. The relationship came together, organically unbelievably even in a short space of time. Awesome chemistry! My favorite holiday read so far.

Fun Holiday Read!!

This book has so many tropes I love - Boss/Employee, Fake Engagement- just to name a few. Nick finds  himself in a tough situation and finds a quick solution to his problem. Little did Joy know she was his solution!

This quick read was heart-warming and fun. It was a quick enjoyable read that I could have kept on reading because I loved it so much! I can’t wait to read more from this author!
