You can't get any cuter than Calico Critters! I was saying "Awwwww!" and "Look how cute!" on pretty much every page. Not only are the story photos colorful and adorable, but they also truly represent what's happening in each story—with authentic-looking emotion, too (if that's possible with pose-able toys!)

I never even knew about Calico Critters/Sylvanian Families until I was in my mid-late 40s. Now, in my early 50s, I'm still entirely hooked on them. My heart melts more than a little whenever I see the figures or accessories in a toy store (or Barnes and Noble!)

If you love sweet stories about friendship and families (as well as the most delightful story photos in the world), this is the book for you. Perfect for any age and a fantastic choice for reading to children (or having them read to you!) A big happy smile is guaranteed while reading!
